Yes finally a place that caters to people who don't want to get stuck behind Mr and Mrs Brady and their spoiled little shit kids. I called this place because I googled a bunch of places. This is how the conversation went down; ME: Hi I'm in town till sunday and want to ride LADY: Okay, what type of rider are you ME: Aggressive and I don't want a sled that is governed down LADY: You want to ride tommorrow with Kyle, its the only day he is riding with experienced riders like yourself ME: Okay where are you located LADY: No, where are you located, we will pick you up. YAHTZEE !!!! With that said I was picked up at my hotel lobby and taken back to the shop. I opted for the upgrade which was a Polaris 600 with a 153 inch track on it and was not disappointed. My guide like I said was Kyle and from the minute we left the parking lot, to minute we got back it was hard core riding. The parking lot we left was somewhat sunny, but we entered the following areas according to him: Salt River Rand, Wyoming Range, The Greys, River Canyon and Apline Wyoming. Half way through the day we pulled into a real ranch in the middle of nowhere and were treated to a delicious lunch with homemade cookies. We then headed out to some serious boondocking back country riding, unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life. Riding on a base of 20 feet of snow with fresh feet pounding down was the ultimate experience. Our guide kyle let us freestyle for a good 2 hours total off the trails and I was completely spent by the end of it. I flipped my sled once, but Kyle was right there to help me right the sled. I know some people reading this may think this place is too hard core, but they cater to families as well, the inexperienced and the intermediates. I personally think this is the place you want to go if you are in Jackson Hole and want to ride. They have a tour that brings you to much wild life in addition to yellowstone.... This a a must do. Great tour and our guide was amazing. We saw moose, wolves, rams, and elk.

A few things to ask yourself before you go snowmobiling in yellowstone in the dead of winter: 1. Do I enjoy whipping through the icy wind at 45 miles per hour at below zero temperatures - so cold that your eyeballs hurt? 2. Do I enjoy cheating death every five minutes on a difficult to control "snow cat" that speeds45 mph over icy, deeply rutted roads? 3. Do I enjoy hanging out with tourists who instead of skiing, opt to go on these out of control snowmobiles with their kids as a family activity ? 4. Do I like being outside in the below zero temperatures for 12 hours, the duration of the excursion? If you answered "no" to any of these questions, then for godssake do NOT go on a snowmobile trip. I will never EVER go snowmobiling again. Take one of the vans out to ol' faithful - you get the same view of the wilderness, probably more so because you're not concentrating on not dying, in a warm little shuttle bus. I had on long underwear, ski pants, ski socks, a long sleeved t-shirt, two layers of fleece tops, the "jumpsuit" the snowmobile company gives you and I was still freezing my butt off. The good news was that each time our snow cat lurched into a snowbank or off the road or nearly rolled us, the adrenaline from nearly dying and my shrieking helped to warm me right up. No lie: within five minutes of our snowmobile trip, the snowmobile behind us rearended our snowmobile because she accelerated into us instead of slowing down when we came to a stop (you travel in line formation). Her snowmobile was jacked and ours was fine, but two hours later my shoulder and arm totally hurt from holding on when she hit us. I was stuck riding in the freezing cold with this pain for the rest of the 8 hour day. You've read this review and ask, why the five stars? well, snowmobiling is not my cup of tea, but if it is yours, this company was on time, professional, organized, had new snow cats and the guides couldn't have been nicer or more professional. also, before you go snowmobiling in wyoming, you should be aware that if you're hurt and you sue, your case goes to the Teton County courthouse, which upholds the libaility waiver they make you sign before you head out - this is wyoming, not california - so keep that in mind people. you may die etc. but you are assuming ALL of the risk. read more

So boring this should be called introduction to snowmobiling... in the hour and 30mins of riding never once saw a mountain, hill or powder.... Simply riding in circles around a flat ranch on paved little roads... perfect for girls and young children but not if your trying to have fun and adventure around Jackson hole to see nice hill top views or anything like that especially with a included tip of $300 ur trippin if this is considered snowmobiling read more

Best vacation of my life. We spent one week in Jackson Hole in February and the sun was out everyday, except the last. We were able to drive anywhere that was open and we realize that we were very, very fortunate to have had the weather we did. It was cold, average of about 8 or 9 degrees. The last day warmed up and was cloudy. Luckily we were snowmobiling on that day. Our guide, Zane, picked us up at 6:45 at our hotel and took us to the company store for some breakfast and to get fitted for our gear. One of the members of our party had a sick wife booked. She couldn't make it, but the company refunded her full amount of money even though they didn't know it until he checked in that morning. I really respected them for that. Plenty of business would not have done that. After 30 minutes there, we were in the van heading north. He was so informative on the hour long ride up to the Yellowstone gate for our 90 mile trip. Once we arrived, he got the snowmobiles ready for us and went over how to operate them. I had never driven one before, but I do own a 4 wheeler, so I didn't think there would be much difference. The controls do work differently and you do have to get used to the track getting in the snow ruts. Once I learned to trust that I was not going to fish tail and wreck, I picked up speed. After 15 or so miles, I was up to doing between 45-52 mph. What a blast. Even though the temp was probably in the teens, we were very toasty. The suits were insulated. The handlebars were heated, the seat was heated, and you even had a heater blowing on your feet. I actually had to turn off the heater on the handlebars. I am from Mississippi and not used to being in that type of cold for 8 hours, but I was very comfortable. We stopped at different spots to take pictures and Zane would tell us significant events about different places. We arrived at Old Faithful 45 miles later for lunch and Zane warmed some delicious and filling stew for us. We also had water, juice, veggies, hot chocolate, and candy too. He really took care of us. While he cleaned up. we watched Old Faithful erupt, then hopped on the snowmobiles and went north a few miles for some bison viewing and more hot springs. Then we had to head back down. This time the journey was all about speed and feeling the rush of being behind a powerful machine in such pristine beauty. We made a few more stops, but we were all really enjoying riding so much. Once back at the van, Zane teased us all a little by leading us over a bump, which I would call a small ramp, because we caught a little air. He knew this would make us want to go on a more off road tour next time. I have no problem with Jx Hole Snowmobile tours. Zane could not have been a better guide. I would request him again. We just came back from an 84 mile snowmobile adventure that surpassed all my expectations. This was the first snowmobile tour for me and my wife, and we absolutely loved it. Our guide, Scott, picked us up from the hotel at 7:15 am and took us to the rental center in Jackson. The paperwork was easy, we got our overalls, gloves, boots and helmets and had a nice breakfast (that beats many hotel breakfast buffets.) They have a very nice, modern, and clean facility. We took the Togwotee Tour, so it took around 45 minutes to get to the trailhead. Our snowmobiles were in excellent condition. They worked very well. We were flying up the mountain on curvy trails. On 3 occasions we had an opportunity to free ride and test the terrain. This was a lot of fun, racing up hills in deep powder. Whenever we got stuck or dipped our snowmobile, our guide Scott was right there to rescue us. He was very helpful, trained us well on how to properly ride and made sure out trip turned into a fun adventure. We had a good lunch at Togwotee Mountain Lodge, which was included in the price of this trip. We finished around 3:30 pm , after we saw a few moose close to the trail and watched bison on the road back to Jackson. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to ride a snowmobile. This is not a slow, boring ride. You get the opportunity to ride off the trails, if you want. Not too many restrictions. This was definitely the highlight of our pre-Christmas vacation in Jackson Hole! read more

Fantastic day of snowmobiling. This tour company has it all - friendly, knowledgable staff, great equipment, and amazing rides. They picked us up at our hotel and took us back to their shop where they had a continental breakfast waiting. They suited everyone up with any and all gear they needed to be sure we all stayed warm. Our ride was up to along the continental divide to Togwotee Pass. Once there we had a great lunch provided at the lodge. On the return trip, our guide, Tom, gave us plenty of time to play around in the wide open meadows. This was definitely a highlight of our Jackson vacation. read more

Four of us did the continental divide tour on powder sleds, and it was a top 5 experience of my life. On a blue bird day surfing over feet of powder, we tore up the countryside with well experienced and terrific guides, who were willing to let us push ourselves as far as we were willing to go. The ride was unbelievable reaching speeds up to 75mph on straightaways and traversing hills, prairies, and woodlands. When placing the order online, it wasn't clear that I was ordering a one person snowmobile and when my boyfriend and I arrived everything was already reserved. After making a call to the other store to get another snowmobile down, someone canceled. We thought we were going to be able to go out at that point, but the snowmobile wouldn't start. She called the other store to have another snowmobile sent down and we were finally able to make it out. Her cheerfulness, calm attitude and resourcefulness made this a positive experience in spite of the problems we had getting out. I would recommend this company because of her. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT. Every detail handled perfectly; friendly, competent and to the point staffing, and the highlight of our trip. We did Grey's River Tour on 12/28/13. Online registration, followup, hotel pickup, all perfect. We told them we were newcomers, and were paired with another family without much experience. Our guide J showed us the ropes and let us cut loose. We were all interested in wildlife, and our guide found and pointed it out at a couple of great stops, and then back to full throttle. My Brother and I went on a trip to Jackson, mainly to snowboard. But I figured a snowmobile trip would be a great time up there too. I emailed Marcus at JHST and told him that my brother and I want a tour where we go fast, hit deep snow and can mess around. He told me togwotee pass and I booked it that same day. The snowmobile trip to togwotee pass was one of the most fun things that I have ever done in my life. Our guide was Jay and he was awesome. From the time we left the parking lot, it was a blast. We went fast, hit huge powder fields and just had a great time. Also, the food was great and the portions were huge, so you don't have to worry about bringing food. I would recommend JHST to anyone going to the Tetons. Don't let the negative reviews on here talk you out of the best trip ever. I think some people just don't realize what snowmobiling entails and get upset when they realize it's cold playing outside all day! And if you want a great guide that will let you have the time of your life, ask for Jay! read more

I would avoid Jackson Hole Snowmobile Tours. They are the most expensive outfitters in town, but their equipment is poorly maintained (broken helmets and broken seat warmers) and our guide, Julie, was truly rude - a very unpleasant person to be stuck with for three days. read more
