Hiring Buffalo Roam will be the best decision you make, besides choosing to visit Yellowstone! Matt/Buffalo Roam was recommended to us by the Dude Ranch we were going to be attending. While an "investment" for two days with just my son and me...it was worth EVERY PENNY! We saw almost every animal on our bucket list, learned graduate-level knowledge about the animals, ecosystem, history, etc. We even got some great ghost stories from Matt! My son is super inquisitive and Matt was able to engage my son and fill his hungry brain with knowledge. He worked hard to help us try and see wolves which was my son's number one priority. Every aspect of the tour was exceptional and will leave us with the most special memories. Definitely, trust Buffalo Roam for an adventure of a lifetime!

Matt and buffalo roam tour was amazing!! My family of four (including kids 10 &11) were really impressed with the knowledge we learned about Yellowstone. It really helped us plan the rest of the week. We saw a ton of animals and amazing things! I can't recommend this tour company enough! They went above an beyond and are worth every penny

Grand Prismatic Hot Spring

We hired Buffalo Roam Tours for 2 days to see both Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Matt is super knowledgeable about the area and our family learned a great amount information. The places he took us to our the true gems of the parks. Our two days were filled with heavy rain. We never felt like we missed anything because of it. Matt was prepared for the inclement weather and had everything we needed to stay dry. He managed our trip with many spots that many tourists would never know about. We saw a ton of wildlife and the landscape was absolutely breathtaking. Matt is just a fun, super smart, and organized tour guide. The memories he gave us we will have for.

Peak pack on the refuge!!

Great experience!!! My nephew was in town for a ski trip and we decided to book a tour to give him the full experience. We had an awesome time! Matt, the owner of Buffalo Roam, picked us up right at the house. Five minutes out of town we saw our first wildlife. A wolf pack was flanking the local Elk which come down to refuge each winter. We headed further north to the mountains where Matt informed us about all aspects of this amazing area. From flora to fauna he expanded on the local ecosystem and diverse landscape. We saw moose in the river and big horn sheep grazing on cliffs! I was blown away by Matt's knowledge of the geology and unique terrain. Bringing to light the challenges park and forest workers face managing this area. I have lived in Jackson for over 20 years and was so excited to come home feeling a stronger connection to this valley! I highly recommend a tour with Buffalo Roam! I'm already excited for a summer tour which heads further into the greater Yellowstone area!

While planning our family trip to Jackson, WY, I came across Lewis and Clark through Google. When I…read morecalled, I had the pleasure of speaking with Madeleine--she was incredibly kind and accommodating. I'm very detail-oriented and tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure everything is covered, and she went above and beyond. Not only did she share all the details about their expeditions, but she also gave helpful recommendations for the area. We ended up booking two expeditions: the Shared Scenic Float and the Rafting trip. Both were fantastic. Grace guided our Float and Ben led the Rafting--each brought such skill and warmth to the experience. Check-in was smooth, the staff was friendly and welcoming--just what you'd hope for from a family-owned business. Prices are also very reasonable. Just a quick note: don't forget to tip your guides--they truly deserve it. Pro tip: If you're looking for a more intense rafting experience, go in late May or June when the water levels are higher.

He explained the history of the river & Jackson Hole. As exciting as it was we felt completely safe at all times! He had us rotate around so whoever wanted a turn in front could try it out! Thank you Mitch for making this one of the best excursions we've ever done!!!

My husband and I recently visited Jackson, WY, which was our first time in the area. When we found…read moreout that Grand Teton National Park and elk reserve were right in our backyard, we booked a Grand Teton tour through the Get Your Guide App. We reserved our spots for the half-day "safari" tour that started at 7:30am. Bonus points for pickup from and drop-off to our hotel in Jackson. Prior to the tour day, BrushBuck Wildlife Tours called me to confirm my reservation details and answer any questions I had around logistics of the day. Since it was the middle of the winter, we were in a heated van. Our tour guide from today was Ted, and he was awesome. He was friendly, personable, and highly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna of the area. He impressed me by the facts he knew, and he didn't not have an answer for all our questions. He also had a good eye and spotted wildlife off in the distance, and he would genuinely be as excited as we were seeing the animals. We saw coyotes, a wolf, elk, bison, moose, and bighorn sheep. Ted had a magnifying scope that connected to his phone, so he took these amazing closeups of the animals for us and sent the pictures within 24 hours after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, which was like a fun scavenger hunt in Grand Teton.

I booked a four-hour morning tour with BrushBuck during my stay here at Grand Teton National Park. We got to ride around in an open-air vehicle while our guide shared loads information about the park. BrushBuck provides drinks, snacks, a blanket and binoculars on these tours. I have been on an African safari and this tour brought back some fun memories of that trip. We saw pronghorn antelope, elk, moose and a bear. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and even added a little humor. The backdrop of the Teton Range made it such a memorable morning. If you are visiting the Tetons for the first time, I highly recommend checking out one of these safari tours and get more up close and personal with the park.

He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. Thank you for the incredible memories, Moses! We saw Yellowstone how it was meant to be seen in two days, and it definitely inspired us to come back and camp there to experience it even more.

Moses is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area- and, he's a kind and accommodating person who was so pleasant to spend a full day with a few days ago. Taren was exceedingly apologetic and accommodating. It turns out they were handling an unusually high volume of reservations that day, and unfortunately, ours slipped through the cracks. Her service recovery was excellent. Given the business's consistently high ratings, I have no doubt that our one-off situation will be taken as a learning opportunity to help them continue delivering excellent tours to future clients. Original abridged review: **Disappointed by the experience -- not what we paid for, though our guide saved the day** I hate to leave a review like this, but our experience didn't match what was promised or paid for. We booked an early morning safari in advance as part of a bachelorette weekend, expecting a seamless start to a packed day. Unfortunately, the company forgot our reservation entirely, and despite repeated calls, no one arrived until two hours late -- well past the peak wildlife viewing time and after significant disruption to our schedule. Several advertised amenities, including breakfast and hot beverages, were missing, and communication throughout was poor. A minimal refund was eventually offered, but only after we pushed for it. That said, our guide Barry was outstanding. He came in on his day off, brought great energy, was knowledgeable and engaging, and did his best to salvage the situation. We're grateful to him. Ultimately, though, the overall experience was disappointing. For a premium tour marketed as professional and seamless, it missed the mark. We hope the company improves its customer service and reliability moving forward.

A+++++++++ I would have easily paid twice as much for this…read moreservice. Even my husband, who absolutely hates doing traditional tours LOVED the experience we had. He kept saying "This is awesome!" as we drove thru lower Yellowstone (referring to the gaperguide). So, I downloaded the TravelStorys app from the Android Play Store... Selected the tour I wanted, had it downloaded after I paid, and then went on my tour. Instead of having to be stuck on a 12 hour tour in a van with a bunch of strangers stopping and going when the tour guide decides WE WENT AT OUR OWN PACE. Anything and everything you could want to know is given to you as you drive thru the park. Bathroom locations, places to eat, which parking lot is better, where the attractions are, etc. We got to pick and choose where to stop and how long to stay. There's even background information about the different stops! Just like a real tour! THIS IS A GODSEND. Especially in these Covid-19 times. Definitely going to be using this service again!!! Super important to do all your downloading on wifi before heading to a National Park (as most parks have poor cell and 4g). And start the tour right before heading into the park. If you accidentally exit the app, go to the TravelStorys app (give it time to load, you don't need internet service as long as it's been previously downloaded) and simply select your tour again. It took my phone a while to load after I accidentally exited out. I had a mini heart attack cuz I thought I needed internet to restart, but it ends up that I just needed more patience to let the app load.
