One of the guides was struggling with the horse he was on. It was doing circles while he was on the highway waiting for others to cross. Once everyone had crossed and he was on the dirt, he proceeded to hit his horse several times in the neck, which appeared to be with a lot of force. We were appalled and this type of abuse to this horse should never happen. I suggest you terminate this employee or take any necessary action. What we witnessed was awful and I hope this isn't typical of the way your Ranch treats these beautiful animals.

We saw some elk, mule deer, two bald eagles, and so many birds (golden eyes, mergansers, sandhill cranes, and more).

It was established in 1929 and continues to be a place filled with lots of wildlife and numerous opportunities for hiking and fishing. The best part of our visit was a genteel raft trip down the Snake River, where you can get a whole different perspective of the park's landscape. As we floated down the river, the snow-covered mountains were visible for most of the trip -- making for some truly great photos. A group ahead of us spotted a moose, but it was gone by the time we got to where it was. It was still a very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon in the park. This national park is truly one of the most beautiful ones that I have visited.

The LSR Preserve is near Phelps Lake and has a visitor center. I like driving to the Preserve on Moose-Wilson Road because there is all sorts of wildlife and natural features to be seen. You can also hike through this area. I parked and walked all the way to the visitor center while taking in the amazing views. The trail is surrounded by a sagebrush meadow. Lake Creek flows out of Phelps Lake and is a short walk from the visitor center. The visitor center ended up being closed when I arrived. It is in a wood building and offers ranger-led programs, trail information, weather, and information on Mr. Rockefeller's vision for the Preserve. The LSR Preserve is a beautiful area and worth checking out when open.

The gondola ride is operated by Snow King resorts, my only complaint is that I kept finding conflicting information on the hours in which the gondola operated. Even on the website I saw information that said it operated until 5:00 pm but then when I went to buy tickets in person I was told that tickets bought after 5 pm was $15. So hours of operation could be more clear, I came around 3 pm and did not feel like waiting 2 hours to get the discounted tickets. So, I paid a total of $35. The carts just move in a constant loop around the mountain. Once you pay for your ticket you'll get a receipt you'll have to use it to scan into the gate to get onto the ride. The carts aren't heated but I found them to be a decent size. The ride to the top is less than 10 mins- probably closer to 7- 8 mins. Once to the top there's different trails you can walk. I decided to stay close to the gondola because I was by myself and I had no bear/ pepper spray!! Despite not wondering off too far I still found great solace on the mountain and the views were amazing. I think it was a $35 well spent, would definitely do it again!

The Jackson Hole Aerial Tram in Teton Village, WY is an incredible experience with some of the best…read moreviews in the area. The ride takes you high above the valley, offering breathtaking scenery of the Tetons and Jackson Hole. The only downside was that the tram stopped briefly on the way up, which made us a little nervous. Thankfully, everything was handled safely and the views on the way down were absolutely worth it.

There are areas to park, and you can just walk along the area and take pictures of the homestead barns and cabins with the incredible backdrop of the Tetons, or just a lovely field in the background. I came on a Sunday morning when it was kind of hazy and grey over the Tetons, and it was raining just a bit but the conditions were right that a few rainbows cast over the Mormon row buildings with the moody mountains in the background. It was very much a core memory - I can't rec a visit to this area higher, even if you only have a few minutes! It's absolutely worth it to see, and if you have some time you can walk around for a while.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the Teton area and explaining wildlife behavior in detail. During the 4-hour tour, we visited 6 to 7 different locations. The guide knew all the shortcuts and the best spots to find animals, which gave us great opportunities to observe them up close. The tour also provided water, drinks, and snacks in case we got hungry. We took so many amazing wildlife photos and enjoyed the entire experience.

What a trip! Claude…read morewas the fantastic guide that led our ATV adventure and he was incredible! Four of us in the group for the day; two rode singles, with one being a newbie and I chose to sit in the princess seat behind my hubby as he drove our ATV. We were in excellent hands. Claude stopped us only a few times to take in the spectacular views from Shadow Mountain and what a spectacular photographer too! I would HIGHLY recommend taking the ATV tour and make sure you request Claude! Nitty Gritty -helmets were provided and fitted at the offices in Jackson. -we wore our own sunglasses under the shades built into the helmets. -we drove ourselves to a pin drop 25min outside of town and then followed Claude up to the trailhead where our ATV waited. -we reviewed safety and controls of each vehicle and hit the trail -we all wore long pants and variations of long sleeves because the dust is NO joke! -lunch was a simple sandwich with condiments and toppings on the side along with an ice cold water -there is a storage space about the size of a small backpack on each vehicle and we were able to secure our extras (sunscreen, layers, extra water, etc) in there BUT it was filthy at the end - it is not dust proof. -when the tour is done you end back at your cars and are on your own way from there

My family of four with kids 9 and 11 years old planned a last minute winter Jackson hole trip. We…read moreinitially wanted to rent snowmobiles from the Jackson location to ride to granite hot springs, but was told we had to tow the machines ourselves. They also would not rent out the tow if we weren't experienced with it. So we decided to book two of the touring models out of Alpine (approx 45min drive from Jackson Hole). The office staff was amazing and so helpful. They had all the gear you needed to borrow except balacavas. Highly recommend bringing one or buying in office. The instructions and map were pretty simple. The trail is easy to follow and so beautiful. Kids had a blast. We were able to see a group of deers and a coyote. The river you drive along is so beautiful. Highly recommend.
