We booked a float trip with friends of ours and it had to be rescheduled due to downed trees. While we were disappointed that it had to be rescheduled and our friends had to miss it, we are truly grateful that this company checks out the river BEFORE they send a boat out. They quickly refunded me for our friends tickets and were very apologetic despite this being out of their control. My family was able to reschedule our float trip and it could not have been more perfect. It was a beautifully sunny day. The tour was very smooth and enjoyable. Our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting things about the area. He was great at answering any questions people had along the way. The rafts keep in contact with each other as they go, alerting each other of animals or places to avoid-as the river is constantly changing. Our family loved everything about this experience and would do it again. And recommend it to anyone heading out that way. Definitely worth the time and money. And, as a side note, tip your guide, people!!

The snake River float tour was incredible! Not only beautiful views but the tour guide Ross was super chill and easy to talk to. They provided transportation to the spot we entered the water and it was super relaxing. Great people and awesome way to see the National Park. I would 100% do it again.

We did the evening float trip at 5pm in mid July. It was very relaxing -- no need for towels, swimwear, water shoes, etc. We were completely dry and enjoyed a peaceful trip down the river. Our guide, Kris, was great and very knowledgeable. He directed our attention to moose, bald eagles, and beavers. I would recommend the evening trip to anyone looking for the animals, and a morning or afternoon trip for views of the Tetons. With the way the sun faces, the Tetons were shadowed in our evening trip. But in the morning, the sun would light them up beautifully.

Amazing experience!! So peaceful and such a beautiful float. I would highly recommend this for your itinerary if your visiting the area. We had Reed for our tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and such a fun guy. He's been in the business for 15 years! Great guy, awesome float, beautiful scenery... definitely a must!

The float trip was amazing! We were in town for the week and I was looking for activities to do each day. I chose this place based on a Web search and I'm glad I did. The customer service was great and our guide, Sam was amazing! Sam was very knowledgeable and friendly, He made sure that we all got a chance to get pictures of the great views. We saw several bald eagles as well! Sam made the trip great! I Would recommend this place and Sam to anyone visiting the area.

My family and I had a GREAT time doing the scenic float trip down the Snake River with Solitude Float Trips. Our guide Bernie was patient and funny. He let each of my kids take turns steering the boat. The scenery was spectacular. We saw a prong-horn, 3 bald eagles, and an osprey. The only reason any of us got wet were because of my family members sticking their hands in the water and flicking water at each other. Otherwise we would have stayed totally dry the entire trip. I was also appreciative for Bernie's recommendations of places to go to eat and things to do.

Amazing views, extremely relaxing and enjoyable. It's definitely a slow float. You will not get wet at all. I have two teens that got very bored after the first thirty minutes. We were on the river for a solid hour and a half so it's a long time to literally be floating. Make sure to take your sunscreen!

Beautiful day for a float boat trip

My nephew and I, first timers, appreciated Boots expertise and his patience. We began our 4 hour fly fishing experience at Jackson Lake dam (where we spotted a grizzly!) and floated down the Snake River. Just as fabulous as the fly fishing experience was, it was equally as wonderful to be floating down the Snake River through scenic, majestic landscape, and hear the sounds of wildlife and the running, gurgling Snake River. The stunning landscape is forever imbedded to a lovely memory. Boots taught us casting techniques, strategies and and tactics, and he tied our flies for us. He is an outstanding teacher because my nephew and I both caught, and reeled in, a Snake River Fine-spotted Cutthroat Trout. This is a great place to take pictures and we saw lots of people here with professional cameras and tripods. The road getting there is narrow and the road is congested. I would recommend coming at sunrise or sunset for the best views and to avoid the crowds. It's a short 0.2 mile walk out and 0.2 mile walk back so it's an easy walk with gorgeous views. I would recommend getting farther away from the main road and crowds and explore more in nature if you are able to!

Tucked just off the main road north of Jackson, it's surprisingly easy to get to, yet it feels like a hidden gem compared to the busy overlooks in the park. The highlight here is the view--on calm mornings, the Snake River perfectly reflects the jagged peaks of the Teton Range, creating a mirror image that looks like something out of a painting. It's especially magical at sunrise, when the mountains glow with soft pinks and oranges. Wildlife sightings make this spot even more special. On my visit, I saw a moose grazing along the riverbank, and locals mentioned that beavers and bald eagles are often spotted here as well. It's a photographer's dream, but you don't need a camera to appreciate how stunning it is. The short gravel road to the landing is easy to navigate in good weather, and once you park, it's just a quick walk to the water. Compared to other crowded areas of the park, Lower Schwabacher Landing feels quiet, serene, and almost untouched. Truly one of the most memorable stops in Grand Teton. https://linktr.ee/reessroots

We ended up booking two expeditions: the Shared Scenic Float and the Rafting trip. Both were fantastic. Check-in was smooth, the staff was friendly and welcoming--just what you'd hope for from a family-owned business. Prices are also very reasonable. Just a quick note: don't forget to tip your guides--they truly deserve it. Pro tip: If you're looking for a more intense rafting experience, go in late May or June when the water levels are higher.

I'd even go in May or June to get more rapids because going at the beginning of August the water flow slows way down losing some of the rapids.
