Mike took our family (and tolerated our family) on a route only time would demonstrate - we went straight to deer viewing, straight to bear viewing (including, yes, a grizzly), straight to the buffalo, and learned an encyclopedia's worth in one day. He offered every bathroom and amenity stop, and made us feel comfortable in our vehicle. If you want to truly see Yellowstone, as only an expert can show it, then get up as early as you can and do the full day! You won't regret it.

We had two other guides on this trip who were considerably less expensive and who provided late model immaculate SUVs. The conditions were so bad Mountain Mike agreed the trip should be cancelled and we agreed. To add injury to insult he agreed to refund the $1,900 but has now refused to do so. I cannot imagine a worse experience.

We saw some elk, mule deer, two bald eagles, and so many birds (golden eyes, mergansers, sandhill cranes, and more).

Jenny lake is stunning, stunning, stunning. The Visitor Center here is one of the most popular, if…read morenot the most popular area in the park, so do take note that the parking lot fills up even though it's a huge lot. There's a lot of stuff that you can do at the lake, not just visiting the visitor center, snack and gift shop. A lot of people will swim or kayak, or just go for hikes around the lake itself including some of the trails that circle the lake and go behind it up towared Cascade Canyon or to Hidden Falls, which is absolutely stunning. On a pretty day, if you're doing the hike up to Cascade Canyon/Hidden Lake, you get the most incredible panoramic view over the lake and the surrounding area with the Tetons behind you along that hike. There's a stopping point called Inspiration Point where a lot of people were hanging out and taking pictures while I was going up there that overlooks the lake, and honestly is one of the most stunning spots I have ever seen -- definitely no doubt one of the most beautiful spots in the entire park. I think that you can't come to Grand Teton National Park and not visit Jenny Lake. If you've already been before that's one thing, but if you've never had a chance to see it yourself, you really should come by. There are also several informational plaques around the lake near the lot/visitor center that tell you about the history of the area including the native tribes, and tell you about Jenny who was part of one of the native tribes and whom the lake is named after.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the Teton area and explaining wildlife behavior in detail. During the 4-hour tour, we visited 6 to 7 different locations. The guide knew all the shortcuts and the best spots to find animals, which gave us great opportunities to observe them up close. The tour also provided water, drinks, and snacks in case we got hungry. We took so many amazing wildlife photos and enjoyed the entire experience.

He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. Thank you for the incredible memories, Moses! We saw Yellowstone how it was meant to be seen in two days, and it definitely inspired us to come back and camp there to experience it even more.

I have been fortunate enough to see the grand Teton from almost every conceivable view, except from…read moreabove. Don't think that because you flew in to the Jackson hole airport that you got the full view. In my opinion, the greatest views are from the west side just above table mountain. The great thing about fly Jackson hole, is their aircraft. They are impeccably maintained, and the instructors are top notch. I especially recommend Jeff, if you can get in the plane with him, you are going to have the experience of a lifetime-I guarantee it.

But to have someone as knowledgable, thoughtful, engaging, detail oriented, personable, genuine, and experienced as Duncan as a guide made the whole thing priceless. Not having to deal with finding parking and bathrooms was a big plus during the high season here in Yellowstone. Duncan made sure to tailor the day to what the group wanted, knew where to find wildlife, and ensured we were well fed (breakfast, lunch, snacks), watered (cold water), and comfortable throughout the entire 12 hours. We saw bison, elk, deer, pelicans, and a swainson's hawk. If you are on the fence between different tour companies, this is the one to choose for sure.
