Matt has such extensive knowledge of the best sites and how to view wildlife, and he had everything planned so seamlessly that we were able to see an incredible amount of amazing things. Each day was completely different, and Matt is a true expert of Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton areas. He has a wealth of knowledge, and has a great way of sharing it in a way that makes it engaging. Matt really made this a spectacular trip. He has a way of making everyone feel comfortable. Even his driving is great (having recently been on other tours outside of the US with a bad driver, this was important to me). We saw all kinds of wildlife like wolves, bison, moose, antelope, deer, elk, ravens, eagles, and even a little bunny rabbit! The landscape is breathtaking at every turn, but Matt selected out sites that really showed off the best parts of Grand Teton & Yellowstone, including gorgeous waterfalls, canyons, and of course, many of the immense options for geysers. Even if you have just one day to tour, having a tour with Buffalo Roam is completely worth your time and money. The parks are so vast, there is hardly any cell phone service, so you save vast amounts of time, effort, and stress of having to navigate sites (or find a bathroom) by hiring Buffalo Roam Tours - they know this place like it's their treasured back yard, and they happily share their passion for park in a way that is contagious. He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. This park's beauty is captivating. The breathtakingly beautiful mountain ranges make for some…read moregorgeous photos that don't do it justice. It was established in 1929 and continues to be a place filled with lots of wildlife and numerous opportunities for hiking and fishing. The best part of our visit was a genteel raft trip down the Snake River, where you can get a whole different perspective of the park's landscape. As we floated down the river, the snow-covered mountains were visible for most of the trip -- making for some truly great photos. A group ahead of us spotted a moose, but it was gone by the time we got to where it was. It was still a very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon in the park. This national park is truly one of the most beautiful ones that I have visited.

As our Sled Dog Tour was cancelled due to the thaw we looked for a last minute activity to do with…read morethe family. We found The Hoke Hiking Experience and I have them a call. Cathy answered and was very pleasant. I explained our situation and she was understanding and found us a Snowshoeing Tour in the Tetons for a half or whole day. We chose a half day guided snowshoe tour. Beverly met us at our hotel the next morning at 0800. We chatted for a bit and there were a couple of options for us to 'shoe'. My daughters hadn't seen a Moose before so we chose the River Valley Area in the Teton National Park. The drive was about 20 minutes from Jackson. Beverly had all the gear you needed. We started out on our hike and the scenery was so beautiful. We had a very 'bluebird' day. On our was back we began to see signs of Moose. Shortly after we found what we wanted to see. A cow and her calf. Being careful not to stare to long or threaten them we were able to watch and see these beautiful animals and appreciate their size. Beverly was a very knowledgeable guide and a wonderful woman. Having help raise two daughters it is great for them to interact with other strong women. We have discussed as a family of visiting in the summer months and The Hole Experience offers a overnight camping and hiking experience that we will want to do.

Tessa was extremely knowledgeable about the trails, brought us to one that for our hiking skills (or lack of) and took us on a beautiful hike. We learned about local plants, trees, and climbed to the top of the trail where we could see all the mountains around us. It was exactly the hole we asked for! We traded interesting and fun tales, learned about Jackson Hole, Teton, and even bits about Yellowstone, we stayed hydrated with provided water, and had an amazing day. Brett was very patient with the group, even during the process of getting us gear that would fit. He went above and beyond to give us a trip to remember. The Ski-Doo snowmobiles were great!! For $600-850 a snow mobile, this outfit is greatly missing customer etiquette. We were told to be ready at 6am sharp. We wanted to confirm which side of the hotel pickup was, however neither the 1800 or 307 numbers work. We called repeatedly, text the 307 number, and had no idea if we'd been scammed until the coach showed up at 6:28. Showing up late with no working phone number was shocking for an outfit that demands logistics and communication at 6am. Once the coach showed up, I asked Jeff (guide) if there's any coffee since it's a 1+ hour ride to Yellowstone and coffee shops were not open. Scenic Safari's response? "You can die for an hour in the back." A bit rude, I ignored it. For comparison, the hotel shuttle that runs FOR FREEE has coffee and hot chocolate prepped in the van. No coffee on a $600-800 per person is one thing, but "You can die for an hour in the back," has ZERO customer etiquette. We get in the coach and the man has the lights on full blast over our heads. When asked to dim them since it's pitch black outside and the contrast painful to anyone with migraines, Jeff makes the remark "lights are going off because there's someone sensitive in the back." Zero basic customer etiquette. Just turn the light off. Everyone heard the request. Three strikes before the fist 30 minutes of the trip with 8 hours to go.

I had snow pants on and a base layer under them and I was still cold with the heavy wind gust. The blanket helped a lot. You can purchase a blanket for $20 in the gift shop. The gift shop actually charges a responsible price for blankets. We saw a lot of Elk and a coyote during our visit which was in February. I highly recommend but don't bring small children especially when it is super cold. We had a sleigh with at least 5 chicken and 1 screamed and cried the entire time.

If you're looking for some fly fishing guidance in Jackson Hole, this is the place to go!…read more My brother-in-law and I had never fly fished before, but we were interested in learning. We spent about a half day with Caleb and had a great time. I was worried that it might be difficult to learn and execute, but Caleb's instruction was really good. He first walked us through the different types of waterbugs/flies and why you'd choose certain types for certain locations and times of year. This was a part of fly fishing that I didn't realize was so important to know. We eventually got our waders and boots on and hiked out to a river where we were taught the techniques for casting. We were allowed to practice for while with just the line in order to get the proper technique started. Caleb gave us tips and corrections to make sure we were casting our lines properly and hitting the spots of the river we were aiming for. Then we added nymphs and eventually bobbers and we were fly fishing. We were taken to different spots along the river and taught to look for eddies and different currents within the river. Water levels were really high the day we went, which made the water muddy for fishing. We did, however, have a great time and felt pretty good about handing the fly rods. We are definitely purchasing fly rods and sharpening our skills at home. After fishing, we sat in their outdoor office and pulled off our waders and boots. They brought us cold drinks, apple wedges, orange wedges and crackers. We met a great group of guys who treated us like family and taught us a lot. We'll definitely contact them again the next time we're in Jackson Hole
