He took us to off-the-beaten path landmarks within the park - so we skipped busy parking lots, lines, and lots of people. Felt like we had the perfect private tour. Time was spent enjoying the beauty of the park, rather than waiting in long lines for a photo opp. We had a lovely private picnic lunch by the water - it was a great time for our kids to stretch their legs. He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I'm very grateful for the opportunity to visit. Here are a few tips based on my experience: We lodged in Victor, Idaho, which was super convenient for Grand Teton NP. It's much more affordable, and the drive was beautiful. There is so much to do at GTP--I recommend exploring the park for at least 2+ days. Here's what I recommend. Start each day early: * 5:45 AM - Schwabacher's Landing (sunrise) * 6:45 AM - Snake River Overlook * 7:30 AM - Mormon Row (barn glow) * Jenny Lake Shuttle (8-8:30 AM, $20 RT) * Hike Hidden Falls (0.5 mi, 15-20 min) * Hike Inspiration Point (0.4 mi , 20-30 min) Take a break and have lunch at Dornan's Pizza Pasta Co. After lunch, head over to String Lake (swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding). End your day at Glacier View Turnout and Mount Moran Turnout for a scenic drive along Teton Park Road.

Cathy answered and was very pleasant. I explained our situation and she was understanding and found us a Snowshoeing Tour in the Tetons for a half or whole day. We chose a half day guided snowshoe tour. Beverly met us at our hotel the next morning at 0800. We chatted for a bit and there were a couple of options for us to 'shoe'. My daughters hadn't seen a Moose before so we chose the River Valley Area in the Teton National Park. The drive was about 20 minutes from Jackson. Beverly had all the gear you needed. We started out on our hike and the scenery was so beautiful. We had a very 'bluebird' day. On our was back we began to see signs of Moose. Shortly after we found what we wanted to see. A cow and her calf. Being careful not to stare to long or threaten them we were able to watch and see these beautiful animals and appreciate their size. Beverly was a very knowledgeable guide and a wonderful woman. Having help raise two daughters it is great for them to interact with other strong women. We have discussed as a family of visiting in the summer months and The Hole Experience offers a overnight camping and hiking experience that we will want to do.

Tessa was extremely knowledgeable about the trails, brought us to one that for our hiking skills (or lack of) and took us on a beautiful hike. We learned about local plants, trees, and climbed to the top of the trail where we could see all the mountains around us. It was exactly the hole we asked for! We traded interesting and fun tales, learned about Jackson Hole, Teton, and even bits about Yellowstone, we stayed hydrated with provided water, and had an amazing day. For $600-850 a snow mobile, this outfit is greatly missing customer etiquette. We were told to be ready at 6am sharp. We wanted to confirm which side of the hotel pickup was, however neither the 1800 or 307 numbers work. We called repeatedly, text the 307 number, and had no idea if we'd been scammed until the coach showed up at 6:28. Showing up late with no working phone number was shocking for an outfit that demands logistics and communication at 6am. Once the coach showed up, I asked Jeff (guide) if there's any coffee since it's a 1+ hour ride to Yellowstone and coffee shops were not open. Scenic Safari's response? "You can die for an hour in the back." A bit rude, I ignored it. For comparison, the hotel shuttle that runs FOR FREEE has coffee and hot chocolate prepped in the van. No coffee on a $600-800 per person is one thing, but "You can die for an hour in the back," has ZERO customer etiquette. We get in the coach and the man has the lights on full blast over our heads. When asked to dim them since it's pitch black outside and the contrast painful to anyone with migraines, Jeff makes the remark "lights are going off because there's someone sensitive in the back." Zero basic customer etiquette. Just turn the light off. Everyone heard the request. Three strikes before the fist 30 minutes of the trip with 8 hours to go.

I highly recommend but don't bring small children especially when it is super cold. We had a sleigh with at least 5 chicken and 1 screamed and cried the entire time.

We fished yesterday and I made my displeasure clear several times on the water and off that we were here to catch fish not just take a pleasure rafting trip. I assume he either didn't tell the proprietor or they don't care as they've had yesterday afternoon/evening and all morning today to reach out (it's now noon the following day). Given the crickets, I'm now writing this review. Initially I spoke with Brian on the phone and he put me at ease as did their online reviews. After finding out that we wanted to catch fish and have views he recommended the Snake River for a full day session. Admittedly he said it was one of the final days for fishing the Snake as the water would be rising later this week, but that we would still be good. We shouldn't expect champion trophies as that was another river, but it would still be plenty of cutt-throat Troutt and a lot of fun with an insane view. Typically 2 out of 3 ain't bad, but given we were there for fish, the view and fun only equate to 1 Star. Admittedly we got 1 bite the entire 6+ hours and I reeled it in so we didn't get completely skunked, but I could have saved half the money and just done the scenic raft tour twice as that's effectively what we received. - 5 stars: fishing guide + 5 stars: equipment + 5 stars: views + 5 stars: fun on the river + 2 stars: education (based on expectation set by other reviews) We had Ian and he was a nice guy and overall we had a good trip with some laughs. I like the guy personally and other than catching fish, we had a great time on the river. However, he admitted at the beginning of the day that this was only his 3rd official outing this year on the Snake and later that he had never personally fished from the groups fishing holes. Neither are good signs as both caused alarm. He didn't know where the fish were biting and it seemed clear that this is not his normal fishing area. That's an absolute first for a fishing guide and not a good first. When you're paying this type of money for a fishing guide you should expect them to be intimately familiar with the water and be able to put you on fish. That was most definitely NOT the case. He clearly knows fly fishing and there definitely was some education, but nothing like what was described by other reviewers. I caught on almost immediately and received a few solid tips from him as he mainly focused on helping my wife. We're both first timers, but were quickly casting to specific areas he would point out and following whatever instruction he gave to improve our odds. I think he really tried to help us catch and even verbalized his frustration a few times at us getting skunked, but at the end of the day, it's his job and the reason we pay the hefty fee, for him to know all the honey holes and where the fish are biting today. Did I mention it was our 20th wedding anniversary and we chose to fish for the day? The Good: Ian is a nice guy who loves Fly Fishing They have good equipment and handle all the details They have a cool spot/camp off the river that's a great place to relax and have your lunch The Snake views are stunning In the first 5 minutes we saw a moose, a marmont and was almost boarded by a beaver The Bad: Doesn't know where to find fish on the Snake Doesn't fish this river enough to know where they are biting Isn't a fishing guide at least for this river Bottom line: if you don't care about catching fish and just want to have a good time with great views, then this is the school/guide for you.
