These Antler Arches may not seem like a big deal but they are a fun and iconic art installation in Jackson. There are other places around town that also have arches in this fashion. Example, if you're flying in through the airport, a very similar arch greats you as you enter the terminal from your plane. We also had one at the hotel we were staying at. I wouldn't say this is the most interesting thing on Earth to do but what I will say is that these are fun and it's a great photo op and it's something you kind of have to do if you're visiting Jackson. Just don't steal from it. That's rude! :)

Great natural art feature (no elk were harmed) to the Town Square. Antlers are on all 4 corners of the park for you to be able to take photos at. Worthwhile to go take a photo of you get the chance.

The four corners of antler arches to the town square park in Jackson Hole. Take a quick short cut or a quick stroll through the town square park. A memorial dedication monument for the span of war heroes in the center of the park.

I always watch the live stream on YouTube of these antlers and had to take T REX there to get a photo! We stopped at the brewery across the street which was pretty good. Such a cute photo opportunity in a cute town! Check out my YouTube of TREX dancing at the antler arches! https://youtube.com/shorts/ODu-FqRhr30?feature=share

Antler arches and towers seem popular in Wyoming and this park with four of them at each corner could very well be one of the most famous places for it as many people take their photos here between them. There are more reviews posted under Town Square.

If you stop by this town on your trip then this is a great place to take pictures. The arch is made up of entirely elk antlers plus the town has one of those small town feels that is rare to find now a days. Make sure you don't take any of the antlers apart or else you'll find yourself with a hefty fine! Tip: walk across the street to take a picture with a metal bison and bear sculpture!

Soooo stunning! If you can, come both during the day and at night.

I've always dreamed about seeing these antlers in person!! They were just as magical as I hoped. Even more so in fact! Located centrally in this insanely adorable, picture perfect mountain town is not one, but FOUR antler arches, one at each side of town square. They light up at night so if you're staying in town the night make sure to stop by both during the day and after dark! I can imagine they're absolute perfection when the area is snow covered!! These antlers once belonged to elk who shed them naturally. They are gathered each year after shedding season from the National Elk Refuge to the north by local Boy Scout groups and added to the arch as needed. (People apparently take some of the antlers as souvenirs. Lame.) There are great bars and restaurants directly across the street and awesome rustic hotels nearby! Take a walk around the corner of town square to see some metal sculptures including a giant moose! We stopped here for the night after visiting Grand Teton which isn't too far away. If you're in this section of the country, definitely make it a point to stop by Jackson Hole...and of course these arches! So iconic! Bucket-list check!

All antlers are from elk refuge not far from there. Boy Scouts pick them up each year there. Each arch is composed of approximately 10,000-12,000 lbs of antlers. It is a great photo op, actually 4, since there is one on each corner of the George Washington Memorial Park.

Antler Arch. That's a lot of Antler Elk horns.

Not Utah's Arches but Wyoming's Antler Arches. This square is located in the heart of Jackson, a nice little town. The significance is Antler Arches posted on each corner of the square. This site is part of the US National Register of Historic Places. At first I thought, the Elks were harmed to gather the collection of the horns, but actually the town of Jackson is the home on the National Elk Refuge. According to their history, during winter sheds, these antler horns are gathered and some are built to create these masterpieces. Therefore, no animals were harmed. Inside the park theres some benches for seating and a statue. We had some really good family pictures from the amazing Arches during the cold season. There isn't much to do around Jackson, other than shopping and dining. But I recommended stopping by Antler Arches to break away from the long travels, and before heading out to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National park. This place is definitely a road trip photo opportunity.

Jackson, Wyoming is the sweetest little town! You feel like you've been teleported to an old western movie! The Antler Arches mark the four corners of the town square. Made completely from Elk antlers, this area is an iconic landmark. We got to Jackson before 8, and headed over to Cafe Genevieve. Everything in this town is within walking distance and is easily accessible from the public lot at the end of the town. After breakfast we walked around the town a little more and found that crowds of tourists swarmed the square. I loved walking along Broadway before the crowds, so the earlier the better! I would love to come back to Jackson and see the town square covered in snow and the Antler Arches twinkling with Christmas lights!

    Festive arches.

The Jackson Hole, Wyoming Town Square has an antler arch on each of its four corners. This has been the standout landmark of the town since 1968, when arches were fashioned from shed elk antlers. The arches are particularly appropriate, since Jackson Hole does lie very nearby the perimeter of the Elk Refuge. Each year, local Boy Scouts go to the Refuge to collect the antlers, which are then sold at auction in the town square on the third Saturday of May. Around 1,000 to 2,000 pounds of the antlers are bought from the local Boy Scouts, who collect antlers as part of their annual fundraising. More antlers are purchased from western vendors. According to www.firesidejacksonhole.com, "the arches are an artistic wonder, as each arch is made of around 2,000 antlers, which weigh in at 10,000 to 12,000 pounds. Many visitors wrongly assume that the antlers are a product of hunting. No elk were harmed in the making of the arches. Elk naturally shed their antlers each year and they are collected from the ground. The antlers are then weaved around a steel frame one at a time." Unfortunately some visitors have been known to yank an antler off for a free souvenir to take home. The antlers are screwed in place in an effort to prevent theft or vandalism but the arches are also vulnerable to the effects of sun, wind, rain and snow. So they do need to be replaced about every 30 years. Being located right across the street from the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, the distinctive and beloved arches attract hordes of tourists and their cameras. Especially lovely during the winter, when the arches and trees of Town Square are blanketed with snow and decorated with twinkling lights, the downtown Town Square takes on a beautiful and ethereal atmosphere. 5 YELP STARS for the Jackson Hole Town Square Antler Arches!

Our group included experienced fly fishers with their own gear as well as relative newbies and ALL were treated to just the right experience. The skilled casters were given tight targets that often yielded fish. The first timers were shown how to throw a dry and consistently put on fish, too. The guides had two in each boat and brought lunch for all. They provided rods, waders and flies, which they changed and tied on gladly and often. We fished the Wilson Bridge down to South Pass and Jenny Lake dam to Pacific Creek, two very different and very productive stretches. Neither was difficult fishing. Caught plenty of smaller fast water cutthroats on the lower section and big (BIG) cutthroats and whitefish on the crystal clear upper dam-fed section. Our group has a lot of experience and familiarity with fly fishing, and all of us thought the experience with Snake River Anglers was excellent -- true fly fishing advice and guiding for the advanced angler, and helpful tutoring and teaching to the newcomer. Never intimidating. Nor ever underwhelming. These guys got it going on. We fished dries, steamers and some nymphs on indicators in late April.

For $600-850 a snow mobile, this outfit is greatly missing customer etiquette. We were told to be ready at 6am sharp. We wanted to confirm which side of the hotel pickup was, however neither the 1800 or 307 numbers work. We called repeatedly, text the 307 number, and had no idea if we'd been scammed until the coach showed up at 6:28. Showing up late with no working phone number was shocking for an outfit that demands logistics and communication at 6am. Once the coach showed up, I asked Jeff (guide) if there's any coffee since it's a 1+ hour ride to Yellowstone and coffee shops were not open. Scenic Safari's response? "You can die for an hour in the back." A bit rude, I ignored it. For comparison, the hotel shuttle that runs FOR FREEE has coffee and hot chocolate prepped in the van. No coffee on a $600-800 per person is one thing, but "You can die for an hour in the back," has ZERO customer etiquette. We get in the coach and the man has the lights on full blast over our heads. When asked to dim them since it's pitch black outside and the contrast painful to anyone with migraines, Jeff makes the remark "lights are going off because there's someone sensitive in the back." Zero basic customer etiquette. Just turn the light off. Everyone heard the request. Three strikes before the fist 30 minutes of the trip with 8 hours to go.

Prior to the tour day, BrushBuck Wildlife Tours called me to confirm my reservation details and answer any questions I had around logistics of the day. Since it was the middle of the winter, we were in a heated van. Our tour guide from today was Ted, and he was awesome. He was friendly, personable, and highly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna of the area. He impressed me by the facts he knew, and he didn't not have an answer for all our questions. He also had a good eye and spotted wildlife off in the distance, and he would genuinely be as excited as we were seeing the animals. We saw coyotes, a wolf, elk, bison, moose, and bighorn sheep. Ted had a magnifying scope that connected to his phone, so he took these amazing closeups of the animals for us and sent the pictures within 24 hours after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, which was like a fun scavenger hunt in Grand Teton.
