The park has a lot of amenities, including areas you can rent out for large parties. There are courts for games like pickleball and a nice open grassy space. The playground is very cute and kids of all ages would probably love to play on the sets. There is a nice looking bathroom but unfortunately, they close for the winter, beginning on October 1st.

We did not see elk during our June visit. They're at the refuge from mid-December through early April when they begin migrating. They move toward their summer ranges, following the receding snow line up to higher elevations in Grand Teton National Park & the Bridger Teton National Forest. From October through December, deepening snow cause the elk to seek food and shelter at these lower elevations in Jackson Hole.

We were a party of five and one of our members was sick. The day of our ride was on the 30s and rain (at the end of June). I contacted them again about rescheduling or a refund because this person would have ended up with pneumonia. Again no response. Furthermore the day of the ride they never even reached out to see where the five of us were. They had our email and phone number. That is completely unheard of. I agree with other Viator reviews indicating horrible customer service. There are many other horseback riding companies in Jackson. This was our first and last time using or referring this company.

There are areas to park, and you can just walk along the area and take pictures of the homestead barns and cabins with the incredible backdrop of the Tetons, or just a lovely field in the background. I came on a Sunday morning when it was kind of hazy and grey over the Tetons, and it was raining just a bit but the conditions were right that a few rainbows cast over the Mormon row buildings with the moody mountains in the background. It was very much a core memory - I can't rec a visit to this area higher, even if you only have a few minutes! It's absolutely worth it to see, and if you have some time you can walk around for a while.

There are signs that provide information of the area. This view became well known due to the famous photographer, Ansel Adam's, that has a popular photograph of Snake River with the Teton mountains in the mountains. You can take pictures of this place at sunset or sunrise for even better views. All of Grand Teton National Park is so picturesque and this stop is no different.

They're really cute, and you can definitely get some really cool pictures of yourself or with your family and friends at any of the arches. They're made from actual antlers; I'm not sure who actually collected them and put them together into these designs, but they're honestly amazing and look like a sculpture that could easily fit in at any museum. Of note, there is also an antler arch at the airport right when you get off your plane which I walked through, so you can also get a picture there even if you don't have a chance to make it into Jackson (assuming you're flying in or out of the Jackson Hole Airport). Overall, it's definitely worth a visit to the square even just for the photo op if nothing else.
