We stopped in for a drink after dinner and were impressed by the ambiance. Plenty of space so not cramped, but busy enough that there's a good energy. Bartender was knowledgeable and helped us make our beer selection. Sad we came full because the pizza looks delicious, we'll be back. read more

Phantom Fox Beer Co - Chicken Shwarma pizza and Phantom Water WCIPA - Breweries Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Met friends for lunch here yesterday. We sat next to the brew house as there are only a couple standard height tables and that's where they're tucked away at. So it was pretty loud as it was keg wash day but it was ok. They tell you when you enter that it's counter service, so you have to order at the counter, they'll give you a number to put on your table then bring your food out to you. I opted for a Mystic Dawn, it was light and good. My companions ordered quite the spread! They got the Munch Mix, a house Salad, Hummus bowl and we had two pizzas; the loaded potato and Penni Popper. I was Leary of the Penni Popper when I ordered it but to my delight they weren't fresh jalapenos w seeds so it was heat I could handle. I intend to try the leftover Loaded Potato today for lunch. The hummus was good....be careful....it's got a bit of heat, but delicious. It was a great stop for lunch and a beer and right in the hub of the bustling DT Mesa libations scene. Phnatom Fox came highly recommended by a brewery and taproom I had visited in days prior... and I concur. Cheers and thanks Phantom Fox! read more

New place in downtown Mesa. They have 11 beers on tap, about half of them being IPAs. I got a flight and the winter warmer beer for $18 before tip. Very fairly prized compared to other breweries in the area. I think the real edge that this place has is that Goat and Ram pizza is inside of it. Let me tell you I'm not a pizza person but their stuff is incredible, delicious, super high quality, and unique options without getting ridiculous. Service is good and prompt. It's a pretty big space which is nice, the decoration is industrial like most breweries are. This place is worth getting out of your way for. My favorite beers were the Kramus Winter Warmer and La Cicuapa Hazy IPA. read more

The beer is really good. If you're an Untappd person their beers are 3.75 ratings or above IMO. Awesome thing they only have one beer over 7% and it's 7.1%. It's nice because all the beers I've hatastes great and I'm not worrying about falling off the stool. Not every beer has to be 8% and up!! Also, I grabbed a pizza from the adjoining Goat and Ram. Very unique and very good. Spongy outer crust and outer crust surface burnt like wood oven. Crazy. I bought T&T which was great. Truffle oil makes crust under cheese soggy but I expected that. Interested when I come back to try other pieces if soggy as well. Still really good. Bartender did an amazing job pairing "If I had a nickel" beer with the T&T pizza. Love this place and I'll be back on regular basis. read more

I was in a few days ago after a spring training game. I like the setup with a nice big bar area, TVs and a large board with all of their beers listed. They brew practically every style of beer with an emphasis on IPAs and pale ales. I went with the Waitomo Glow hazy IPA and it was delicious. The pizza place adjacent to the bar area looked like they were doing some good things as well. read more

Yelp said we should try this place...so of course we did! Great addition to downtown Mesa. There was good, loud music playing, some football games on the TV's. Service was super friendly. I had a Walking Shadows Amber and my son had the cider. Both were very good. We also had a pizza that was outstanding. I would definitely recommend checking them out. read more

Great food, bartender was beyond attentive and very polite at all times. Very clean brewery compared to others.

First time in Mesa. Stopped by this brewery based on reviews and didn't disappoint. Great service! Great place to hang out and drink a few beers. They have a pizza place in the same place and can order to go or to eat at the brewery. I'd definitely come back again read more

Phantom Fox Beer Co - Drink Menu - Breweries Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

The beer is good and it's a cool space in Phantom. The biggest problem is that the Goat & Ram side has super bright white lights overhanging and it destroys the vibe/atmosphere, as the Phantom side has nice warm lights. You can see the bright daylight "hospital" lights in Goat & Ram easily from many parts of the Phantom side and it's jarring. Need fix. See pic. read more

Phantom Fox Beer Co - "Hospital bright daylight white" lights over the Goat & Ram section ruin the vibe. The rest of the place has nice warm lights. Fix it. - Breweries Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Just the best atmosphere you could ask for, plus the nicest staff who seem like they'll do anything for you. The beers that I had were excellent (an amber and a sour). The pizza, although from a separate business on the same premises, has been the best I've had in my 30 years in Arizona (and I have been to the famous Bianco many times). I will definitely be returning again and again. read more

This is one of our favorite places. The owners are amazing and the staff is always the best. it's a beautiful building with most Materials inside being locally sourced. The beers are all excellent and they always have a cider from another Mesa owned business cider corp. the pizza is my favorite pizza from anywhere read more

I literally want to come here everyday. The beer selection is amazing. This is a place I recommend to everyone for its service and style.

Nice setup. Downtown Mesa, much more hip than in the past. Shares a space with a pizza place that I didn't try. The food looks phenomenal. Beers are average to above average. The IPA's I tried were great for entry level drinkers. Nothing with a bite or over hopped. In fact kinda boring. Keep in mind I did not try them all. Definitely work a visit. Guessing there may be something on tap that will hit your palate. Service, well, inattentive at best. Order a pizza and ignore the poor service and explore the beers. read more

Super fun place & excellent atmosphere. Very cool tables and tons of seating. Very clean restrooms as well.

It is at least a weekly spot! I LOVE their sour King Louie & every IPA I have had so far has been amazing. They have great service and the beers are affordable! They also have wine and a few cocktail drinks read more

Beer was great, food provided by Gost & Ram greet. Loved everything EXCEPT the smoking on the patio. You need eliminate smoking where people are eating. Went home with my clothes smelling like smoke, and I was not the only one that was not happy. Smoking is their choice not not where people are eating. read more

"Goat & Ram" is a Pizzaria connected in the same room & atmosphere as "Phantom Fox." G&R have a great menu from an updated Munch Mix, THICK Cheese Toasty (with a DELICIOUS Marinara side), Hummus, and a LOADED House salad. The PIZZA, you can watch being made, has a "brick-oven" cook from large ovens, and because the restaurant is seperate from the craft-brewery, temperatures of cold beer and hot fresh pizza is perfect. Moving on from G&R to Phantom Fox Brewery, this isn't a Tap-Room. The Bar-Hosts are as such, fantastic hosts. Attentive. The workers tend to represent the company with pride. In this business, as it is operated, I was able to meet the owner, fully taken care of by the craftsmen, enjoyed amazing food, a ton of differing flavors of house-made drafts. And I'd like to personally thank Bobby at the bar for being an outstanding employee. I stayed from opening through shift change, and tables 80% filled in the first 2 hours. I grew up walking the Mesa strip, going to the Nile in the 90s, seeing business open and close. Phantom Fox is almost a year old now, from the time of this review and I'm excited to see this business bringing in a crowd 25-40 year olds. They're open from noon and close at 11pm on Fri-Sat. G&Ram close an hour sooner. Atmosphere and music has been mostly a medium level 90s hip-hop sound. A good steady beat. Conversation is all around from tables but the music does not make it loud; you can talk to the person next to you without issue. Conclusion: I highly recommend Goat & Ram, as well as a focus on Phantom Fox. There is also outside seating with lighting for a great Friday/Saturday night. I'm overall glad to have this business on the Main Strip of Mesa. I ENCOURAGE, visits from locals AND Out-Of-State visitors who are looking for a place for Pizza and Craft Beer. Tables don't seem to feel the need to speak loud over other tables and the lighting is perfect; In the summer heat, the front door and windows, as well as the visible kitchen do not add heat surprisingly. I stayed comfortable the entire time and got nothing but smiles from the employees, which made me smile too. Over-all, 5 stars and I will be back often. read more

Some of the best pizzas I've ever had and I've been to Italy multiple times! Really an unexpected gem. Ambiance was fantastic for the medieval tavern vibe they're going for. And the visible brewery was a cool addition. The waiters were great too and let us buy some of their glasses. read more

The beer is excellent. The pizza was delicious. The bartenders are very friendly. My only suggestion is lower the volume on the music a bit.
