Fun dessert mints they bring with the bill.

It's not much to look at on the outside (or the inside for that matter) but these little pancakes will just make your day. Literally any combination you can think of, you can have. Yum yum. This is my second time visiting and I will totally be back in the future. Great breakfast.

We came to Pffantastic Pannenkoek on a Saturday (11:00am) and barely had to wait for a table. Normally, this place is packed but we lucked out (Stampede season is the best season). This was my first trip even though I've passed by it many times. Note: no reservations on weekends (from 8:00am to 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday). Lots of options to choose from but it's mainly savoury and sweet pannenkoek along with a few soups, salads, omelettes and open faced sandwiches. Service is bustling but very tender and sweet. - Hollandse erwtensoep ($6.95 bowl) - comes with a warm fresh pretzel bun. Oks got a second ($0.80) cause she loves them so much. Pea soup had some chicken and sausage mixed in. Good. - Rosti, ui en kaas ($10.95) - shredded potato, onion and cheese with added tomatoes ($1.00). Crispy and tasty like a pierogi flattened into a thin style Dutch pancake. - Spek en appel ($10.95) - who knew bacon and apple could be so good? Delicious. Sweetness from the thinly sliced apples, savoury from the bacon. I'd hit it again. - Special pannenkoek of the month (fresh strawberries) ($14.95) - ice cream, whipped cream, icing sugar and chocolate sauce. Perfect dessert to end our meal. Strawberries were fresh and the ice cream/whipped cream decadent. Perfect to share for three (one scoop of ice cream for each!). Pleasantly surprised with Pffantastic Pannenkoek. Would totally come back again for brunch. Dutch goodness!

If you want authentic Dutch pancakes, look no further. These are not your average Western pancake, but your larger-than-your-face pancakes. We came during the weekday and lucked out as we were seated right away. From other reviewers, I see that it's popularity make for long wait times, especially during the weekend. If you have the chance to go during the week, that will be your best bet in avoiding those lineups. There are a variety of options for both sweet and savoury as well as a build-your-own style. I ended up picking their most popular savoury pancake which was the potato, bacon, onion and cheese. It was served with a side of sour cream and it tasted like a giant perogie. I definitely recommend it if you are having trouble deciding! The atmosphere is super laid back and is a cute family-run place. Our server was very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Can't wait to come back and try other items!

This place is pretty great, just be prepared to wait a while on weekends and pay a pretty hefty price tag for breakfast, but it's worth it and we've gone here on every visit to Calgary. They do have great, strong coffee, but they need fresh squeezed OJ and not bottled juice. Service is always good, even when they're swamped. If you get a savory pancake, make sure you try their weird molassesish syrup on the table. It's really good! We usually buy a bottle to bring home along with a bag or two of Dutch licorice!

Service: Friendly and attentive. The server recommended us to try out the dutch syrup on our savoury pannekoek and it tasted great! Atmosphere: Cute mom and pa shop that's family run. They even sell some dutch treats like stroopwafel at the front counter. Taste / Value for money: This is the only place in YYC that you can find these dutch pancakes. I ordered the bacon, raisin and cheese pannekoek and my bf ordered the bacon, onion, potato, cheese with added sausage. I loved mine! The sweet and savoury combination was great and to add to that, the crispy cheese perfected the pannekoek. My bf enjoyed his pannekoek as well and added the syrup for the sweet/salty combination. We both enjoyed our meal. To total came to $37 (tax and tip included) for the both of us and we left full! If you have never tried pannekoeks before, we definitely recommend!!

Arrived here an hour after they opened and the restaurant was already packed. That's when you know that there is good food waiting for you. Now when you order, they are known for the savoury and sweet Dutch crepe like pancakes. Not too dense and filled with different toppings The bacon sausage egg pancake was great, lots of sausage in it. I always have to get something sweet so I got the banana pancake. Added whipped cream and ice cream. Very filling and needs to be shared! Bf got the omelet-simple omelet nothing special.

Authentic Dutch pancakes. Now these are not your traditional fluffy American pancakes but more like a thin crepe and hashbrown combination. It is delicious and a hidden gem in Calgary! You should try this. There are sweet or savory pannenkoeks. For a meal, go with a savory and you can add a little syrup to it to give a hint of sweetness. Wonderful restaurant!!

It took a while to get a table, but at least they don't build your hopes up. The maître d was honest enough to tell us that we had to wait 30min. Was expecting a better tasting coffee! And the OJ is served in plastic bottles, so don't expect freshly squeezed juice. Food was pretty decent. The mushroom omelette was really good. The Thai Pannenkoek was an interesting twist on a crepe. I wouldn't go back here if I had to wait more than 5min to get a table. Kind, well-spoken, gentle, efficient, always a smile on her face and she went above and beyond. I had a 12:15 pm reservation. Unfortunately a group was taking much longer than expected. I waited over 30+ mins to be seated and so yes, I could've made a scene, but that wouldn't be me. Phoebe could've just let things be ... you know? Because "it is what it is". But she didn't. Once she seated me and my friend, she offered to take photos for me and of me. SO thoughtful! She also brought me a beautiful ice cream with a sparkling candle in it. SO sweet! She smiled at me every time she walked by almost as a way to make sure I was doing OK and feeling good. She was WAY more attentive than our female server who looked, sounded and acted like she couldn't leave work soon enough. Wasn't going to let her dampen my birthday though... Food tasted good. Presentation was beautiful. The male server who took over was SUPERB. Genuinely happy to "close out" our transaction with him. He was super attentive and willing to make everything go well. Thank you, Phoebe and male server for making my birthday memorable. XO

You only have about 5 or 6 spaces since it seems like the rest of the spaces have a "no parking" sign in front of each space... wtf... The place was nicely decorated and quaint. Loved the vibe. We walked in at 8am, opening time, and there were two parties sitting already. We got seated and looked at the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and mentioned that the Queens Breakfast, and the Montreal Smoked Brisket were the popular dishes. I decided on the Omelette Al Tartufo and my wife decided on the Montreal Smoked Brisket with Poached Egg. The Omelette Al Tartufo was good. Had a good earthy taste of the truffle. They had truffle paste so a hint of real truffle was there. There was a bit of melted cheese in there but there was a good balance. My wife had the Montreal Smoked meat with poached egg, which was also good. Pastrami-like protein with a poached egg, presented in a croissant. Very good, but very filling. Eat this, and you won't be having lunch! All in all, good food, and good service.

Vegan breakfast options that too savory are hard to come by. You're limited to soy or coconut yogurt or just potatoes but this place had buddha bowl, tofu bowl, ramen, salads. So many options. Additionally they can make modifications to accomodate any requirements. We had our coffees made with soy milk and sugar free syrup. Everything is plated so beautifully. Super fast and friendly service. You must reserve ahead online a day before atleast before you go to ensure they confirm a spot because the seating is limited. In addition to kitchen items they also have a small bakery shelf for banana breads or anything else. 10/10 would recommend.

We were shocked to find another couple sitting at our reserved table--frankly, I hadn't anticipated it would be a shared table for eight in the first place. To make matters worse, we were rushed to order and pay the bill. After that couple left, another pair were seated at our six-person table without any explanation. Our dishes arrived in two separate waves with a 10-minute gap. They also automatically added an 18% tip for parties of more than five people, which I expect at least we should have a private table. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the server, the owner came out and became confrontational and aggressive. He raised his voice, saying I could "tell him what I am not satisfied with." Then he offered a refund, which I immediately declined, and afterward snatched a package of coffee from the counter and offered it as compensation. I refused again--it felt more like an insult than a genuine apology. After we posted our reviews, the owner privately messaged my friend, asking us to remove them and citing the "small Chinese community" as a reason we should support each other. That's incredibly manipulative. Using community guilt to pressure customers into deleting honest feedback is inappropriate and only reinforces our negative experience. I will not be returning.

By the time it arrived, everything was stone cold. The cheese was literally hard from melting and then going cold, the potatoes were undercooked and raw, and the entire meal was completely inedible. Spending $35 on food that went straight in the garbage is beyond frustrating, it's infuriating. And the $5 "seasonal fruit bowl" looked like someone's picked-over leftovers. A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible.
