Fun dessert mints they bring with the bill.

It's not much to look at on the outside (or the inside for that matter) but these little pancakes will just make your day. Literally any combination you can think of, you can have. Yum yum. This is my second time visiting and I will totally be back in the future. Great breakfast.

We came to Pffantastic Pannenkoek on a Saturday (11:00am) and barely had to wait for a table. Normally, this place is packed but we lucked out (Stampede season is the best season). This was my first trip even though I've passed by it many times. Note: no reservations on weekends (from 8:00am to 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday). Lots of options to choose from but it's mainly savoury and sweet pannenkoek along with a few soups, salads, omelettes and open faced sandwiches. Service is bustling but very tender and sweet. - Hollandse erwtensoep ($6.95 bowl) - comes with a warm fresh pretzel bun. Oks got a second ($0.80) cause she loves them so much. Pea soup had some chicken and sausage mixed in. Good. - Rosti, ui en kaas ($10.95) - shredded potato, onion and cheese with added tomatoes ($1.00). Crispy and tasty like a pierogi flattened into a thin style Dutch pancake. - Spek en appel ($10.95) - who knew bacon and apple could be so good? Delicious. Sweetness from the thinly sliced apples, savoury from the bacon. I'd hit it again. - Special pannenkoek of the month (fresh strawberries) ($14.95) - ice cream, whipped cream, icing sugar and chocolate sauce. Perfect dessert to end our meal. Strawberries were fresh and the ice cream/whipped cream decadent. Perfect to share for three (one scoop of ice cream for each!). Pleasantly surprised with Pffantastic Pannenkoek. Would totally come back again for brunch. Dutch goodness!

If you want authentic Dutch pancakes, look no further. These are not your average Western pancake, but your larger-than-your-face pancakes. We came during the weekday and lucked out as we were seated right away. From other reviewers, I see that it's popularity make for long wait times, especially during the weekend. If you have the chance to go during the week, that will be your best bet in avoiding those lineups. There are a variety of options for both sweet and savoury as well as a build-your-own style. I ended up picking their most popular savoury pancake which was the potato, bacon, onion and cheese. It was served with a side of sour cream and it tasted like a giant perogie. I definitely recommend it if you are having trouble deciding! The atmosphere is super laid back and is a cute family-run place. Our server was very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Can't wait to come back and try other items!

This place is pretty great, just be prepared to wait a while on weekends and pay a pretty hefty price tag for breakfast, but it's worth it and we've gone here on every visit to Calgary. They do have great, strong coffee, but they need fresh squeezed OJ and not bottled juice. Service is always good, even when they're swamped. If you get a savory pancake, make sure you try their weird molassesish syrup on the table. It's really good! We usually buy a bottle to bring home along with a bag or two of Dutch licorice!

Service: Friendly and attentive. The server recommended us to try out the dutch syrup on our savoury pannekoek and it tasted great! Atmosphere: Cute mom and pa shop that's family run. They even sell some dutch treats like stroopwafel at the front counter. Taste / Value for money: This is the only place in YYC that you can find these dutch pancakes. I ordered the bacon, raisin and cheese pannekoek and my bf ordered the bacon, onion, potato, cheese with added sausage. I loved mine! The sweet and savoury combination was great and to add to that, the crispy cheese perfected the pannekoek. My bf enjoyed his pannekoek as well and added the syrup for the sweet/salty combination. We both enjoyed our meal. To total came to $37 (tax and tip included) for the both of us and we left full! If you have never tried pannekoeks before, we definitely recommend!!

Arrived here an hour after they opened and the restaurant was already packed. That's when you know that there is good food waiting for you. Now when you order, they are known for the savoury and sweet Dutch crepe like pancakes. Not too dense and filled with different toppings The bacon sausage egg pancake was great, lots of sausage in it. I always have to get something sweet so I got the banana pancake. Added whipped cream and ice cream. Very filling and needs to be shared! Bf got the omelet-simple omelet nothing special.

Authentic Dutch pancakes. Now these are not your traditional fluffy American pancakes but more like a thin crepe and hashbrown combination. It is delicious and a hidden gem in Calgary! You should try this. There are sweet or savory pannenkoeks. For a meal, go with a savory and you can add a little syrup to it to give a hint of sweetness. Wonderful restaurant!!

It took a while to get a table, but at least they don't build your hopes up. The maître d was honest enough to tell us that we had to wait 30min. Was expecting a better tasting coffee! And the OJ is served in plastic bottles, so don't expect freshly squeezed juice. Food was pretty decent. The mushroom omelette was really good. The Thai Pannenkoek was an interesting twist on a crepe. I wouldn't go back here if I had to wait more than 5min to get a table. A unique experience, amazing food, and great customer service. Although the layout and interior design are cluttered in my opinion. This place is great for sharing if you are ordering their specialty Pannenkoek. It is a 12-inch diameter crepe with any fillings to choose from. We ordered 3 Pannenkoek which are: *Bacon, smoked sausage, and egg *Potato, cheese, and bacon *Apple and bacon All of which is great, it was light, flavorful and just the right amount of fill in my tummy. I highly recommend the potato, cheese, and bacon as our waitress also recommended. Overall, I would come back to try out other fillings and do order coffee as you get a nice dutch biscuit.

If you show up after 9am, be prepared to wait a bit or make reservations in advance on Toast to be safe. I tried their newer item, birria de res eggs benedict, which is served on cheese bannock, an indigenous Canadian bread, and opted to sub potatoes/salad for garlic fried rice for 3 CAD surcharge, which is well worth it. The beef was tender and the eggs are perfectly runny and the cheese bannock added heartiness and a more unique texture compared to English muffin. It is a combo of Mexican, indigenous Canadian, and Filipino influences all in 1 dish! To pair with the food, I had a pineapple mimosa which was of good portion. Originally, the dish had hair so I caught it and flagged the issue, so they immediately remade the whole dish for me, apologized, and comped my mimosa so despite losing 10 min of my time, I am okay with this remedy, so I rate this experience for the food and service outside of this incident. This is one of the more innovative and delicious brunch spots I have tried, so it is no surprise this place is fairly hyped up

It came with thick cut smoked salmon on top of sushi seasoned rice with poached eggs, seaweed, and spinach on the side. The seaweed pieces tasted old and were hard to chew. The seasoned rice had too much vinegar in it. The poached egg and salmon tasted fine. It also came with miso soup but it tasted strange, not sure why there was oil in it... miso soup usually does not contain oil. My fiance got the Breakfast in Manila and thought it was alright as well. The rice was too salty and the sausage tasted like low quality meat. It seemed like they were short on waitresses and it took a while for them to take our order and for us to get the check. This place is also a plant store and it felt cozy. Overall had a decent experience.

By the time it arrived, everything was stone cold. The cheese was literally hard from melting and then going cold, the potatoes were undercooked and raw, and the entire meal was completely inedible. Spending $35 on food that went straight in the garbage is beyond frustrating, it's infuriating. And the $5 "seasonal fruit bowl" looked like someone's picked-over leftovers. A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible. This is careless, overpriced, and completely unacceptable. 1STAR. Complete fail.
