    Montreal smoked meat hash

I tried to think of one single reason why I shouldn't give them a 5 star rating and I got nothing. From the service to the food, 5/5!

Cutest diner on the block. There were so many things we wanted to try. The ABC burger was super tasty and generous. The meat tasted fresh. The avocado was fresh and bacon crispy. The smoked meat eggs benny was fabulous. Both came with super yummy pan fried unlimited hash browns. Great presentation. Service was friendly and timely. Can't wait to return!

We had breakfast here before heading to Downhill Karting. After looking at other breakfast places, we decided to give this one a try after seeing their menu and other pictures posted. We were happy to have chosen to eat here. We got items such as the Calgary Breakfast Sandwich, Galaxie French Toast, Blackstone Benedict, and the ABC Burger (since breakfast or lunch are options). Even though there is an option for bottomless hash browns, we were full from the initial plate.

Located in a trendy area of the Beltline. The ambiance is very old school diner, small but comfortable. I sat on the bar. The service was prompt and very friendly. I ordered the French toast with the hash potatoes. The french toast were topped with berries. The french toast was underwhelming. I would say a bit bland. The potatoes were delicious and filling. Overall the restaurant has decent food for decent prices. Service is the stat here which seems strange to me.

A retro looking diner that you would pass right by if you didn't know about it. Music from The Temptations, Tina and Edwin Starr playing. Right away, a bingo. Each booth has its own little juke box. Remember those, all of you old people Iike myself, reading this? We had the kalamara eggs with spinach, sun dried, and feta. Big portions and excellent. Staff great. AND Bazooka bubble gum with the check!!

My first time going to this place and wow! Loved the food and the interior of the building. The portions were a perfect size, not too big nor too small. Service was amazing! Didn't get the name of the workers that served myself and my friend.

This little hole in the wall spot was suggested to us by a friend. It's a super small place inside but looks very retro and hipster. They even have a really cute pickup window to grab your food and shakes to go. We came for breakfast here and it was pretty yummy. The coffee was decent, the milkshakes were super yummy, the food was good too. We ordered the huevos rancheros which was basically a flour tortilla with 2 over easy eggs on top, a bit of pico de gallo, 1/2 an avocado, delicious toasted bread, and house made hashbrowns. It's not your typical huevos rancheros and I added some hot sauce to spice it up but it was good. I didn't eat the tortilla because it really didn't add any flavour to the eggs so I just left that part. The hashbrowns were delicious tho and the bread was tasty too. The other members of my party ordered the other dishes and I did try a bit of the Pacific Omelete which was the one with smoked salmon and wow was it ever delicious! I would probably order that with a side of hollandaise sauce next time. The hollandaise was really yummy as well and one of the best I've tasted. We opted to eat at the park across the street because the restaurant is super tiny and we had a lot of people. It was a really wonderful start to our day. The service is great there too!! Friendly, knowledgeable, and totally cool!!!

Galaxie Diner has been around for ages. It is loved by the neighboring locals. My sister recommended this place and she said it is one of the best brunch places in town. It is not fancy but it has the old style diner feel. They maintained the way it looked when it first opened its door. I came here with a friend who came from Vancouver to visit. I got the salmon omelette with white bread and hashbrown. I also got the strawberry milkshake to go along with it. Wow the salmoon omelette is super delicious. It is fully loaded with a generous amount of smoked salmon spilling out on the side. Toast and hashbrown are bottomless. Their toast and hashbrown are super delicious. Their portion to begin with is already super big, I can't go for more hashbrown. The strawberry milkshake is super delicious. They gave me a generous portion. Everything here are super fresh. The place is always super busy and usually requires waiting for table. Also the place is quite small too. We came super early at 10 am and we still had to wait about 20 mins. The wait is totally worth it. This is one of the best brunch places in town and I highly recommend trying their food.

I've been meaning to try this place for a long time and I finally got to go. It was quite busy but it makes sense given how good it was! I was planning on trying their omelettes (which I've heard are amazing) but I couldn't resist ordering the French Toast after reading the description! I'm usually not a sweet breakfast person but I had to try it. It was sooo yummy, and filling! The atmosphere was great and so was the service. I really liked the overall vibe of the place. If you try to go and end up having to wait it is definitely worth the wait :)

This review is based on my entire experience- if it was based solely on the food alone it would be given a 5 star review because when I went here the first time I had the eggs benedict on a toasted croissant then when I cam here the second time I had the pacific omelette which was absolutely amazing! It was 3 eggs with smoked salmon, spinach and cream cheese. There was so much salmon in here it was absolutely delicious and it came with a side of hash browns and toast. It lost some stars because it is a very small diner with very limited seating and it is also a very popular establishment so having very few tables means it is a long wait. The decor in the restaurant adds well to the theme. In addition to this they have many homemade delicious milkshakes and the unfortunate part is that they only have plain coffee and no lattes or anything .

Malted milkshake with omelette of choice, served with hashbrowns and multigrain toast

Casual breakfast/brunch restaurant. Parking was easy and cheap to find. Literally parked across the street and walked down to the place in 2 minutes. It's a retro styled diner. We came about 11:30 in the morning and it wasn't very busy. We were greeted and seated ASAP as soon as we got in. Their menu is amazing! You get unlimited coffee and tea, and also unlimited hashbrowns and toast. I ordered a large Omelette of Choice, and choose the cheese, ham, Montreal smoked meat (which came from the shop next door), and sautéed mushrooms as my filing. They're very generous with their portions and their omelette of choice comes with plenty of other toppings. Usually, I stay a bit peckish after a meal but I had trouble finishing my eggs, along with my sides, so I was very full! Their malted milkshake is to die for! Out of all the milkshakes I ever ordered, theirs was simply the best! It was good enough that after a sip of mine, a friend ordered one to go for later. Will definitely visit again!

Best brunch restaurant I've been to. The food was delicious, and we only waited for 10 minutes. Ive tried so many other brunch places and they're all mediocre but I'm happy to finally find a great restaurant!! Very good prices and it is very cute inside.

If you show up after 9am, be prepared to wait a bit or make reservations in advance on Toast to be safe. I tried their newer item, birria de res eggs benedict, which is served on cheese bannock, an indigenous Canadian bread, and opted to sub potatoes/salad for garlic fried rice for 3 CAD surcharge, which is well worth it. The beef was tender and the eggs are perfectly runny and the cheese bannock added heartiness and a more unique texture compared to English muffin. It is a combo of Mexican, indigenous Canadian, and Filipino influences all in 1 dish! To pair with the food, I had a pineapple mimosa which was of good portion. Originally, the dish had hair so I caught it and flagged the issue, so they immediately remade the whole dish for me, apologized, and comped my mimosa so despite losing 10 min of my time, I am okay with this remedy, so I rate this experience for the food and service outside of this incident. This is one of the more innovative and delicious brunch spots I have tried, so it is no surprise this place is fairly hyped up

It came with thick cut smoked salmon on top of sushi seasoned rice with poached eggs, seaweed, and spinach on the side. The seaweed pieces tasted old and were hard to chew. The seasoned rice had too much vinegar in it. The poached egg and salmon tasted fine. It also came with miso soup but it tasted strange, not sure why there was oil in it... miso soup usually does not contain oil. My fiance got the Breakfast in Manila and thought it was alright as well. The rice was too salty and the sausage tasted like low quality meat. It seemed like they were short on waitresses and it took a while for them to take our order and for us to get the check. This place is also a plant store and it felt cozy. Overall had a decent experience.

By the time it arrived, everything was stone cold. The cheese was literally hard from melting and then going cold, the potatoes were undercooked and raw, and the entire meal was completely inedible. Spending $35 on food that went straight in the garbage is beyond frustrating, it's infuriating. And the $5 "seasonal fruit bowl" looked like someone's picked-over leftovers. A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible. This is careless, overpriced, and completely unacceptable. 1STAR. Complete fail.
