Every time we picked up our dog he seemed a bit more anxious than the time before, they suggested we give him more anxiety medication. The price of a groom is crazy, over $250 for a small 30lb dog. The turning point for us is that our dog was having an off day and was a bit more anxious than usual - never mean or aggressive, just squirmy. They called us after an hour to let us know, but told us they'd keep trying. Two hours later he was ready for pickup - I assumed that 3+ hours at the groomer meant they got through it. When I picked him up they told me they did not cut any of his hair, only a nail trim and bath. To my surprise, they proceeded to charge me the full amount of a groom - a $250 bath and nail trim. Very dissapointed given we were longstanding customers and they knew he was having an off day. We will certainly not be back. **UPDATE** We took our dog to another groomer who let us know that there are clear signs of trauma from previous grooming experience. He was clearly pushed past his comfort level at Dogfather to a point where he has developed a traumatic fear of being at the groomers. This explains why he was more and more anxious to go each time. This is deeply upsetting and I only wish we changed groomers sooner.

My other suspicion is that this place lies about it so they can charge extra $20 for the clean up. When you do not give them a tip, rightly so, for the poor treatment of my pet, they complain. Never again, we will be using this facility and you should avoid it as well!

When they called to say it arrived, I said that I would pick it up the next day at 8am. #2: Waited and waited on the sidewalk while they tried to find the order. They came out with a "similar coat" (their words), and I remarked it was too big (dog would pee on it) and wrong colour. They then went back into the store to bag what I was told would be the one I did order. #3: When I took it out of the bag the next day to put it on, I realized they put the WRONG COAT in the bag. It was the wrong colour and wrong size. Tried it on anyway, to give it a chance. I believe it was the "similar coat" they tried the day before. #4: Phoned 24 hrs after pick-up, to say I was bringing back the coat because it was the wrong colour and size - and that my actual order must be in their store by their mistake. #5: TOLD I CAN'T EXCHANGE OR RETURN COAT, EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG ONE!!
