As infection followed injury, they questioned our decision to take the dog to the vet for treatment and questioned the treatment and then they even questioned the legality of service by our vet who prescribed antibiotics and cortisone cream. Finally, groomer hid behind her contract. She then terrorized us with a threat of a lawyer. Regretfully, it is obvious that Eden (owner?) is not taking responsibility for injury. A week after hurting our dog which is still preventing him from even normal walks due to groin infection, this groomer did not even call to ask about dog's health. Do they care about injured animal, or don't they? Should we avoid this grooming service? Oh yes, we are going to AVOID them from now on.

Every time we picked up our dog he seemed a bit more anxious than the time before, they suggested we give him more anxiety medication. The price of a groom is crazy, over $250 for a small 30lb dog. The turning point for us is that our dog was having an off day and was a bit more anxious than usual - never mean or aggressive, just squirmy. They called us after an hour to let us know, but told us they'd keep trying. Two hours later he was ready for pickup - I assumed that 3+ hours at the groomer meant they got through it. When I picked him up they told me they did not cut any of his hair, only a nail trim and bath. To my surprise, they proceeded to charge me the full amount of a groom - a $250 bath and nail trim. Very dissapointed given we were longstanding customers and they knew he was having an off day. We will certainly not be back. **UPDATE** We took our dog to another groomer who let us know that there are clear signs of trauma from previous grooming experience. He was clearly pushed past his comfort level at Dogfather to a point where he has developed a traumatic fear of being at the groomers. This explains why he was more and more anxious to go each time. This is deeply upsetting and I only wish we changed groomers sooner.

Today we took my mum's dog bebe (a 4 pound chiuahua) to get her nails trimmed Timmie Doggie Outfitters. When my mum went to pass bebe to the STORE OWNER (who said he would take her) he quickly removed his hands and allowed a 4 pound little dog fall, at least 4 feet. She landed on her side and rolled onto her back. Thank God she doesn't seem injured - however this man, a shop owner in downtown Toronto then had the nerve to say she was showing him her teeth. Bebe is a sweet dog with no agression whatsover. We didn't get so much as an im sorry. He showed no remorse, and behaved as if nothing had happened after being confronted by my mum and myself. Is this the way we expect our beloved pets to be treated by a "professional" who owns a business where he cares for our beloved fur babies. This needs to be posted and people need to know what kind of man they are trusting their furry family members.

I called back and gave some feedback But the owner insisted that they did their job. All I wanted was for him to say he understands and I'm happy to give the feedback to the woman who groomed your dog. I now have to spend $90 on cream and a cone so that my dog doesn't cause more harm and infection. I just expected better customer service and I would have welcomed a reaction that would tell me that they were And are willing to always improve and be better. I wasn't asking for any compensation, just a vow to maintain better elevated cuts and groomers who are just as efficient across the board. I hope it doesn't happen again.

With doodles, some groomers cut them like a poodle, which we don't like. With Nicole, Cooper is cut nice and evenly. He isn't shaved down but isn't left too long either. Nicole also doesn't keep the dog there for a long period of time. It's nice to know he isn't sitting in a crate waiting for us to pickup. We have used this groomer twice now, with a face trim in between. Nicole charges a fair and competitive rate for a 65lb dog, so if you're in the market for a new groomer in the area, I would highly recommend reaching out to her! She has never been done on time, asking to wait a few more hours, and even then when I arrived just before closing, she was still working on the dog. The place looks shabby, and there is always too many dogs. I have a feeling that she is overbooked or takes in dogs without an appointment, thus causing an extreme delay. Last time, my dogs came back so dehydrated that they couldn't stop drinking for 2-3 minutes. This is not acceptable for the owner to keep dogs so long without offering them some water. I will never return there. No, thank you! Not even a cheap price ($50 for a small dog) will entice me to come back. I wish the groomer well though and to find time to transform the place into a more decent and inviting salon.
