I have been taking my cat to Petsmart grooming every month for over 5 1/2 years. I have never experienced anything but total professionalism and great treatment of my cat. They price matched every item for the significantly cheaper prices that were on the online store. The customer service was so great that we left with big smiles on our faces. I called the day before coming in to make an appointment because I have not used the grooming services here before. I live about an hour away and wanted to make sure things would go smoothly. The next day I drove the hour into the store and I arrived for my 11am appointment slightly early, ready to go and was told that I needed to present my dogs vaccination history in order for him to receive grooming. Of course I don't carry this with me and was never told on the phone the day before that this would be necessary. My dog has a valid license and rabies tag but that is apparently not enough. IF IT WASN'T ENOUGH, WHY IN THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SO THE DAY BEFORE WHEN I CALLED TO SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT YOU IDIOTS!!! You have wasted my entire day now and I have to turn around and drive back home because I can't take my dog with me to the other places I had planned on going while he was being groomed. This store needs to hire some qualified help because the people I've dealt with are simply morons. read more

I was going to take my 11 week old German Shepherd puppy to this Petsmart for Puppy Classes, after seeing some unwanted behaviors out of my puppy I decided another trainer would be best and more suitable to curve these behaviors. I went to the store to purchase items, and also cancel the classes. All the cashiers gave me the run around, finding a manager to help was like trying to find Waldo. I finally got to talk to Reba (the dog trainer), & she made remarks like I was making a mistake in canceling the service, & as if this next trainer would be garbage compared to her abilities to train. Condescending remarks, the hassle in getting a refund, & no help from the cashiers made this new pet owner find a new pet store & would NEVER go back under any circumstances. read more

We recently adopted a dog from the Humane Society and decided he needed a little bit of training. I was hesitant at first because the other dogs in the class were larger and much more aggressive than our dog. However within minutes of the class starting I was reassured by the confidence and control the trainer had. Her name is Reba and I would highly recommend her as a trainer. At each point she was teaching she took the necessary time to make sure that the dog understood the command. As for the store itself I have only found the employees helpful and knowledgeable. Kudos to them for hiring senior citizens! read more

Sunday afternoon adoptions beware! I have adopted three rescues and this most recent experience has been the worst. I won't and don't recommend adopting from Arizona Small Dog rescue. There are too many supportive and professional dog rescue facilities out there to contribute to the ones that don't assist the dog owners! They take your money and refuse to work with the owner who is trying everything they can to be responsible. We adopted a dog from these folks. We drove from Vegas to get a dog we had decided to buy. They were bringing him to an adoption event on a Sunday. The lady, Sam told us they would be at the PetSmart at 11 am. So we drove the four hours and got there at 11 just to find out the dogs don't get there until noon. Fine, whatever. We get the dog and take him home. Turns out the dog has several health issues and has cost us over $3000 in the eight days we have owned him. Got it, we took a gamble with a shelter dog and he was expensive. So, we then attempted to get ahold of the staff to speak about options we have because they make you sign a contract stating if you can not take care of the dog you must return it to their shelter... Roger, I've called 6 times and sent text messages volunteers to include the shelter coordinator and have received no response. I just wanted everyone to be aware of the lack of transparency and information. .... Sorry for the break i just received back from the coordinator who has told me "to be a responsible dog owner. That they do not exchange pets simply because the owner doesn't want to take it to the vet." If you adopt from them I hope your experience is better than mine. This was my third adoption and my worst experience. read more

Most associates at this store seem helpful and friendly. But we had an AMAZING experience with an associate named Marcus in the fish section. To him it was probably just a normal, every day, regular transaction but my kids and I LOVE him. We recently lost all the fish in the tank that I had set up for over a decade (I messed up big time) and I was nervous to go to the store because the last time I set up my tank the person was super rude and treated me like I was a moron. I know that was over 10 years ago and at a different store, but I guess it left a scar. Lol. Anyway, Marcus was so extremely nice, helpful, and very informative. He answered all of my questions, even the stupid ones, and taught me quite a few new things to help keep these fish living. He was just an all around nice guy. We purchased some ghost catfish. They are clear and you can see right through them. He asked me "have you ever heard of ghost shrimp?" to which I replied "I think I've heard of them, but never seen one." He jokingly said "well, that's the point". My kids thought it was HILARIOUS and they repeat the joke to anybody who will listen. He even asked us if we wanted a pregnant fish (my kids thought that was AWESOME). Turns out we got two pregnant fish and one of them was popping out babies within just a few hours of getting her in the tank. It was the coolest thing EVER. I've had to make quite a few trips because, as Marcus so kindly informed us, you can't add too many fish at a time. Every time I go to get more fish my kids ask me "was Marcus there?!" Usually he is, and he is always equally helpful. Now my tank is completely revamped and I love it. Thanks Marcus! read more
