I'm always worried about dropping my dogs off anywhere by themselves, but she makes us feel at ease. She is our go-to groomer now! I also love how making appointments are quick and easy. It's close to home for us too, so very convenient. Was bummed that they got rid of the Yappy Hour, but prices are still reasonable. The store itself also is spacious and clean. Horrible service! I tried to place an online order. Some reason my order didn't go through but they charged me twice! I tried to call the store to see if my order had went through and I didn't get any confirmation or anything at all to show proof that I had placed an order besides the 2 charges I had gotten. The person who picked up the phone said she will get the manager and told me to wait. I had waited for over 10 mins and then got hung up on. Tried to call back and no one picked up. Took my dad's dog here for grooming last month and honestly, it was one of the smoothest (and most unexpectedly entertaining) pet grooming experiences I've had. Booking online is definitely the way to go trying to get someone on the phone is nearly impossible (they're that busy). I managed to snag an appointment on New Year's Day, thinking, How busy could it be? It's a holiday. Yeah... wrong. The place was packed, and a bunch of walk-ins were saying the same thing. They did a great job on Ariella, and for a standard grooming session, $35 felt like a steal. Plus, they offer senior discounts on Tuesdays (an extra 10% off) and yappy hour discounts on weekday afternoons from 2-6 PM. The team here seems amazing with anxious dogs. I saw a couple of doggies absolutely losing it over nail trims, screaming so loudly like they were being kidnapped. But the groomers handled them like total pros calm, patient, and completely unfazed, gently working through the chaos like it was just another day at work. Ariella normally screams like she's being snatched away by stranger danger anytime someone unknown picks her up. But somehow, the groomer just scooped her up like it was no big deal and made it sound like she was off to dog Disneyland no screaming at all. The only downside? The parking lot situation. There's plenty of parking, but the outer edges have kind of turned into a base camp for the homeless. I wouldn't come here at night, but during the day, it's fine. read more

They're very friendly and helpful as soon as I showed the picture to the associate he geared me right to the aisle .!He also explained the sizes and also if it doesn't fit he advised me to keep the receipt and I can exchange it for another size . The only downside unfortunately PetSmaet is located right next door to the Homeless camp. Of course right there is the Men's food kitchen . Very spacious Pet Store very clean and they got all kinds of stuff. From supplies , food, Cats,Dog,Birds, Fishes and Chinchilla. If I could give this place zero starts I would but it won't let me. I bought a dog crate online. Website says the store had the product on hand and I'd be able to pickup today. AFTER, I pay for it then it says they don't have it and it will need to be shipped. So I call to cancel my order when I get an email saying it's ready for pickup. But by that time, it's already been cancelled. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING & ANNOYING, I do not appreciate having my time wasted! Definitely going to petco instead and save me the trouble. I found the customer service here so much better than any of the PetCo stores that I've been to. One of the female associates noticed my Cloudshark slides and asked me about them. She complimented them and said she wants to order a pair and that they looked comfy. She gets a +. I have a thing for fishes. I went to look at all their fishes. The prices are on par with PetCo. A male associate noticed me watching the fishes. He comes by and starts feeding the fishes that I was looking at so that I could watch them eat. He gets a +. As I was leaving the store the cashier thanked me for coming in and told me to have a nice day. He also gets a +. That's three pluses for the 15 minutes that I was in there from three different associates. They know how to train their employees. Exemplary service! read more

Seems like dry cat food these past months have been hard to find at my usual places. I researched and this location seemed to have what my cat wanted and at a good price. Purchased at the website. I arrived too late for curbside delivery but the lady there helped delivery our order to the car. (It was 2 large bags of cat food that required a dolly). Wait, gotta visit the cool animals for sale. From birds to hairless guinea piggies, the animals were active and clean. Big store with lots of pet stuff. Lots of parking. Drive slow around there because there are recipients of Salvation Army services that may be walking around the surrounding areas. Inside the store is clean and felt safe. I will come back. Emma is very gentle and kind and the boys just love her especially Bogey. They are Bichon Frise and Emma knows just how to make them look great. Online ordering with curbside pickup is so easy at this location, but because I'm a treat member my dog got a birthday coupon for $3 any treat IN STORE. SO I went in to check it out and this is a nice big store! I didn't check it out since i I was in a hurry, but I did manage to pick up a birthday treat for my dog. Not only did I get to use a $3 off coupon, I had enough rewards points for an extra $2.50 off and only paid 51 cents for my fur baby's treat (which he loved)! Great deal. Btw - treats are the first aisle where you check out so you can't miss them. They also have a a grooming section where a tiny little dog was being groomed. Yeah, PetSmart is a "big box" store. Yeah, PetSmart is in a sketchy area of town. But the service, inventory and friendliness of the staff make this an inviting location to do your pet shopping when in the area or when you know they have stuff you need and you know they have it. Unfortunately during the pandemic vehicle break-ins and theft do seem to be happening more frequently but this is happening even in areas that you would think would not have any issues (think Ala Moana Center and Kahala Mall). So be aware of what's happening around you, don't park in a secluded corner of the parking lot, don't go too late. Once inside the store it's quite easy to maneuver and a friendly associate is available to direct and assist as needed. I have never had an issue when I have gone to this store, but I'm also careful about where I park. During the holidays they have a free Photo with Santa for your pet- a nice PR gesture on their part. It runs on the weekends thru 12/19. You have to sign up but I believe they are willing to take walk ins if there are openings. A nice place to check out for your pet needs. read more

Poppy responded very well and gave aunty hugs!! (23/25) Almost done with my Christmas challenge reviews! My BF and I recently started coming to PetSmart in Iwilei after we discovered that we can get an instant dose of serotonin and dopamine by staring at their many cute and lovely adoptable cats through the glass! It's such a struggle not to submit adoption papers every time I come to PetSmart! I always have to remind myself, I have 1 catbaby at home already and she has only single child syndrome. Anywho, PetSmart in Iwilei is much better than the other pet shops near my home. This location has so much MORE options for cats -- from food, treats, litter, toys and cat trees. It's so nice to see aisles of cat offerings versus a small corner or a single row. The store is brightly lit and although they can sell out of things quickly (like when they have deals), there's still a plentiful selection for what I'm looking for. The staff is nice, helpful, and they're not pushy about donating to pets in need and all that. Overall great experience but it would be nicer if the store was regularly stocked as something is always sold out. read more

The 5-stars comes with one caveat that is not the Store's fault, but let's start with why the 5-star rating. The interior of the star was well-lit and appeared clean. There were ample shopping carts available and product shelves were neat and well-stocked. I can only speak for the dog related items, but I've found that PetSmart's prices are better than Petco's, and PetSmart's rewards program adds even more to the savings. While I did not notice any employees on the floor, the staff member at the checkout register was very courteous. Now for the caveat I spoke of earlier. This PetSmart location is in a new shopping center joined by Longs Drugs (aka CVS) and Ross Dress for Less. Unfortunately, there's a homeless shelter across the street, and its clients wait outside for its doors to open for the evening. They walk through the shopping center's parking lots and others have set up makeshift campsites along the bordering sidewalk. I would definitely not visit this store at night, and make sure you park as close to the store entrance as possible. Having someone come with you would be a plus in my opinion. read more

Good store for almost all of your pet shopping needs. Keep an eye out for sales on food, treats, and toys for your furbabies. There is plenty of parking available as it's part of a strip mall, but unfortunately it can be hard to get onto the street so pay attention to your GPS. read more

Surrounded by a homeless encampment, so turning into the area is always difficult because someone will be standing in the middle of the road yelling at nothing. I have been a long-time customer at PetSmart for my dog's grooming and other needs. I have been more than satisfied with the dog services they provide. I am aware that they do not have a public restroom "except for emergencies." I don't know what constitutes an emergency, but my 84 year old father with Alzheimers and is losing control of his bodily function was almost in tears because he thought he was going to go in his pants. I asked for a manager, and she didn't even come out to assess the situation and told the clerk that the bathroom wasn't available. I needed to purchase merchandise, but I couldn't. I will no longer be using PetSmart for my dogs care. I can not support a company that has so little compassion for an elderly and sick man. Was charged $10 above the regular grooming cost & nail filing for one of my dogs because they needed to have another groomer hold my 30lb dog down doing his nails because he was flailing. My dog has black nails & they cut the quick on nearly every single toe. Of course he was flailing because their inexperienced groomer cut him multiple times & didnt get much filing done either. They are not our regular groomers & will never return to this location. They have notes for the Kapolei & Mililani locations about my dogs & I have never been charged for extra handling for his nails. I wish I could give them 0 stars. They called me today to tell me my dog is banned from ever getting groomed at PetsMart but will not tell me why? First, I've never been to this PM. I just moved here from Chicago. I've been taking my dog to PM since he was 4 months old- never an issue ever as far as his behavior. However, when I called to make an appointment the women said he could be turned away immediately because he is a senior dog. On top on that, they had my dog a Birthday wrong? It's showed that he was 15 , when he is 11. I've been going there so long? Did they mistake my dog for another dog? I was so thrown off. I told her I would bring in his micro - chip and birth certificate. Then she continued, and said that there was a note on his account that said the last groomer was "uncomfortable " grooming him. They did not give me a date, an address, or any details as to why. So strange. After trying to remember his last grooming with PM in 2018 or early 2019... we remembered that the new groomer shaved to close near his ears cutting him the 1st time and then turned him away for not having updated paperwork on file the second time. We typically went to the PM on Elston in Chicago but was trying a new location- I understood the paperwork issue but we were not reminded that they needed updates ( this typically always happens in my experience) but once presented updated paperwork they still refused. I called and complained. They then changed their toned and decided to groom him. We refused and went somewhere else. I believe the manager of the PM store in Chicago ( 6 corners) was upset I reached out to corporate. Thus is why I think they messed with my dogs account in retaliation. Well, I reach out again the corporate yesterday and I'm calling tomorrow to let them know that the manager at the Honolulu store called the basically banished my sweet boy for reasons unknown. She said that she called the Chicago store .... and when I asked again why, she did not want to answer me. Isn't that ridiculous????! Customer service is horrible at this PM in Honolulu already and honestly- I'm curious if corporate will do anything at all. They seemed concerned but I'm wondering if they will take action. We shall see. I really hope they actually care about the customers and understand that not everyone is meant for customer service. The lack of compassion.... and secrecy??? And DECEITFULNESS It's so Disheartening. I feel bad for being a loyal customer for as long as I have. I just find it SO shady...and just strange!!! What the heck ? So we discriminate against senior dogs now? And why can't I be informed on why my dog is flagged? What did he do? We came here a little before 9 am. Duke, my puppy had an appointment for grooming at 9 am which is when the store opens. Hubby set up the appointment online and was asked a few questions about Duke's health like shots and medicine he is on. The lady checked Duke in and took him away. He was a little shy and kept looking at me and hubby. He was brave. We ended up killing an hour and a half at Ross and Long's. The last stop was in Petsmart where we dropped him off. We walked around the store and it was amazingly organized and clean. While we were there, hubby gets a call saying Duke is ready to be picked up. I took a photo of Duke afterwards. He's so cute and I can actually see his eyes. They did a great job. Plenty of parking up front. I would definitely come back here. Just be careful of all the homeless people that walk around outside of the business. read more

I was dreading going there since it is ground zero for homeless. But there is a security guard in the parking lot keeping them somewhat at bay. This store seems like has the largest selection of fish for sale but I was there to pick up my 3RD aquarium since covid started. I ordered and paid online. I also picked up sand and fake plants, then they wheeled the tank to my car. The staff at Petsmart are always super helpful and friendly. However, the homeless on the sidewalks everywhere made me uneasy at the stop sign to get back onto Nimitz. I only went here because it was on my way home from work and I needed an extra tank for baby fish. read more

Kim was very upfront about what she could do (anal gland extraction was external and internal would have to be done by our vet.) Not all pet stores are alike! PetSmart on Nimtz is the new gig in town. Brand spanky new! That said, you can safely assume the establishment is clean and organized. The staff is courteous and ambitious wanting to make sure you found all what you went there for and more! From the moment you enter the premises someone is greeting you. That friendly feeling is followed by the customer service floor people who constantly ask "did you find everything.... can I help you find anything..." For me, it was a first in a pet store; let alone any retail store for that matter to receive such great customer service. At least 60% of the store caters to canines, 20% to felines and the remaining 20% to all other animals and pets. They have a wide variety of food with familiar names like Purina to the exotic gourmet foods like Wild Wilderness. They have pet houses and pet paraphernalia like toys, leashes, harnesses, pet carry bags and so many things. I am a pet lover. PERIOD dot! PetSmart offers a meal to pets or animals in need with every bag they sell. So your purchases not only fee or groom your pets but helps with the rest of the pet world! YAY! And for the humans! They have a basket at the entrance/exit for toys to share sponsored by Aloha United Way. Kudos to PetSmart On a sad note, my cat Patches did not like the harness I bought, nor did she like the crinkle blanket which I ended up returning. Kudos to PetSmart again for having a modern POS system that recognizes you and stores your purchases; just in case you forget the flavor of food you bought last (which is a definite possibility for me) Parking Plentiful. If you have a puppy, I highly recommend you not bring them her for full bath and haircut. They do not accommodate when the puppy is afraid, which is understandable. But to be charged for a trim (face only) and only $6 less than what you would pay for a full hair cut, is unacceptable. Also, don't do online order, the services they did on my puppy was different and my invoice was $20 more. I'm just irritated by the whole situation but didn't want to dispute it with the manager to the point where they think I'm unreasonable. But as a paying customer, that paid it anyway I thought by leaving this review, it would help someone out in case they get serviced like me. They can avoid being serviced the same way. read more

Bought 2 automatic pet feeders from their online store and they stopped working after 4 days, but that's not the issue. The return policy claims you can return ANY online purchase in-store. Well I go to the Iwalei locations and they tell me , verbatim: "we cannot accept online purchases in store unless we sell that product in the store" tell you don't want to do your job without tell me you don't want to do your job. So I call the customer service number for corporate Petsmart because that is what the in-store cashier told me. I speak with customer service, tell them what Petsmart told me and they told me: " Uhm, what? no should be able to return anything in store. Let me call them." So they called them and magically they can accept the return. So I go back to the store and got initial pushback, like expected, but after telling them that I was told by corporate I can return it and that they even called the store, they can finally process the return. So to make a short story long, you can return online purchase in store regardless if they sell it in the store. THEY ONLY NEED THE SKU and original receipt. read more

I don't love or hate this place. They kind of don't have much of a selection of what I'm looking for sometimes. However if you order online for pick up your food will come out way cheaper than buying it in the store. I used to buy a haul of food for my dogs and make the long trek to mililani just to save a little bit of money. I like how they have events for dogs. It's kinda nice for dog parents like me. But I wish that they being in more holiday items when they do this. I'm sure lots of people will come for photos but also look around the shop to see what they can buy for their pets photo prior to the pic. There was two times I wanted to get her an outfit or something that matched the occasion but they hardly had anything in stock. Most of the workers here are friendly.
