The manager at petsmart on Stephanie in Henderson is a total jerk! He's rude and could care less about customer service. I shop at this store all the time and spend plenty of money and am so disappointed that petsmart employs people like him. He's supposed to set an example and he treated me like i was garbage. I will never spend one dime at this location. I am involved with rescue animals so I'm always buying food, treats and leashes and harnesses. I wouldn't shop at this store if it were the last place in Nevada because of how i was treated today. read more

It's amazing how one employee can make such a big difference in your shopping experience. Normally I would give Pet smart a three star at best. Their store is always clean and you can normally find an employee fairly quickly however, that where it stops. most times they have no product knowledge and no patience. The other day that changed. We were greeted by a young lady named Morgan. With a smile and great product knowledge she answered every question. She knew more about the products than managers have known on previous visits. This young lady should be in management. She should be teaching other employees. Thanks Petsmart for upping your game by hiring people like Morgan. read more

Only reason for me to go to this place is the hotel. Nothing but good service from them!! The reason why I can't give the whole store 5 stars is because the petcare department sucks beyond words can describe. Four times I had to wait more than 10 minutes after having someone page for help to even get some one to come by. The last two times I had to call the store from my phone to ask for someone to come over to get crickets. If I didn't need the hotel I would give my business elsewhere. When will they come up with a easier way to ring an employee to the fish/ cricket area so people don't have to wait and search for someone or have to wait more than 10-15 minutes to get actual help. Shoot sometimes it may be better for me to get the crickets myself since its a hassle for help from the store. So negative F to the store but A++++ to the hotel!!! read more

Every staff member at this location is a rude moronic douchebag. This location is closest to my house, but after my last trip in there attempting to rent a carpet machine-where the only person who would even TRY to help me worked not for PS but for Nulo- and found that every machine was broken and no one would even assist me in trying to BUY unit, Im never going to this location again. I won't even mention my experience with their nasty dog "trainer." Bad all the way around the store. Take the extra time and go to the Eastern & Russell location where the staff actually gives a shit read more

Prices are a bit high, but the friendliness of the cashiers and staff makes it bearable. This is one of the very few places I can get my dog his special food for his sensitive stomach. I love how I can bring him into the store and the staff remembers him and treats him like one of their own pets. We love this location. read more

Excellent group, they cared for our Pancho. Recommend this service

Stephanie is awesome. I started my puppy there at 3 mths, and she has to be the most scared puppy ever. We went through 2 puppy classes and my baby picked up on the basics really fast. She was also able to interact with other dogs there, and that helped her come out of shell a bit. I've now signed up with one on one classes to help with specific behavior changes, and just 2 weeks in, we're already seeing changes in my puppy. Stephanie has a very soothing and relaxed personality, and makes the environment very comfortable for both parent and puppy. Even though there's another petsmart closer to me, I decided it was worth driving a bit to see Stephanie (at the Stephanie PetSmart lol ;-)) . Def recommend! read more

I take my dog to the pet hotel and grooming and they're amazing! Always super nice and my puppy is so happy and soft when I pick him up! He's a boxer mix around 70 pounds and 2 years old! We did training there also and the techniques they teach work! He's not easy to handle by any means being a giant puppy but they're amazing with him! read more

PetSmart - Pet Stores Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Being an animal lover, I love to visit places with things animal related...of course. Well, this is by far my favorite PetSmart location. I love the friendly staff and the clean store. Every time I'm in Vegas (used to be a permanent resident but now visit periodically) I make it a point to stop in there, even though I never have a pet with me. I know that may sound weird to some, but I just love it. read more

I brought my dog into the groomer last week at 1030am and didn't receive a call all day. At 3pm I called concerned about my baby when the groomer told me that they had to transfer him over to the veterinarian because while trimming his paw she accidentally cut his skin. I understood that we are all human and we all make mistakes. She told me that he was ready and I would be able to come pick him up. So, I went right away. As soon as I got there they told me that he would not be ready for another hour because they have people with appointments and I would have to wait. Three hours past I still did not receive a call from the veterinarian office. So like any concerned dog parent would do, I showed up. Conveniently enough he was ready. As I'm going to check out the lady at the desk told me that my total would be 200$ dollars. I continued to tell the lady that I would not be paying anything because the groomer had cut my dogs foot. So she called her manager. The store manager came over and continued to tell me that my dog had a thorn in his foot and that's actually why his paw was bleeding. You mean to tell me that my dog was running jogging swimming prior to this appointment and now he's walking out with a cast on his foot because he had a thorn? That's very convenient considering the groomer told me that she cut him. AND if that were the case they should have kept in touch with me and let me know what was going on throughout the process so I could make the decision myself. Moral of the story, they hurt my dog and then turned around and tried to make money off of me. I would highly consider looking into going to another animal hospital and another store who actually cares about your animal and not about taking your money. read more

This is my favorite pet smart in all of Vegas and Henderson. The grooming department is amazing. My dog Louie hates the moment we pull into the parking lot(he knows it's about to go down) but that's to be expected lol because he hates to be groomed knowing all the girl doggies are gonna be after him once he's finished and he hates all the attention he receives. Louie gets the best treatment there. He goes in there looking like a dollar but comes out looking like a hundred bucks thanks to his one and only groomer THERESA! She knows her job and knows exactly how I like MY LOUIE groomed. No doubt about that. Thank you Theresa for always taking care of my fur baby. I always request her, if she's not there I just have to wait until she's available. For instance today was my only day off from work and I called on such short notice. Louie looked a mess. Of course she was booked being it was a last minute request. but my baby needed a good wash and haircut for his pictures I had to take him in anyway. After dropping him off I received a phone call from Theresa saying Louie was ready to be picked up and that she/herself groomed my Louie. I was so excited knowing I wasn't going to be disappointed I just want to say thank you Theresa for going above and beyond your call of duty. Customer service at its finest. He looked amazing as always read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced, ever! Today I decided to stop in and get my dog some Christmas gifts, I decided that my dog needed some shirts, lots of treats, and toys. I got into the line and even though it was Christmas Eve, I kind of expected the cashier to be a little less rude and at least smile. But nope, I was incorrect, apparently since he chose to work in the customer service industry which he knew would require him to work on Christmas Eve, he still let everyone know that he was completely over his work day and did not care about anyone in line, he made absolutely NO eye contact, would not crack a smile when you tried to have a conversation so I just stared off into the grooming area. That is when I noticed this woman grabbing this poor dog by it's facial hair extremely tight, so tight that the dog was trying to get away from her. She continued to try and shave under the dog's jaw but the dog kept squirming to get away. So the groomer decides hold tighter onto the facial hair and almost pin down the dog in a way to prevent it from getting away from the clippers. I to look at the customer behind me and her mouth was wide opened as she also stared in horror at how the dog was being ABUSED. I then asked her if she was witnessing what was going on and she said that if that were her dog she would go right in there and say something. I told her that I would also do the same thing; meanwhile, the groomer just kept pulling on this poor dog that was clearly terrified on how it was being abused. The guy behind the register asked what we were talking about and as I began explaining what was going on the groomer decided to finally give the dog a break because she noticed us staring at her, so she picked the shacking dog up and moved to another area and just sat there. The guy behind the register briefly looked at the grooming area and then told me my total, did not show me where my bags were just told me to have a good day. I had to collect my 98.00 worth of dog items amongst a ton of returns. and walked out. I decided that the poor dog needed someone to stick up for him so I went back into the store, I immediately walked up to an employee and asked for a manager, she told me to go to the over crowded registers and ask for one, they would help me. Once the manager was called I was shocked to see that it was the guy on the register that rang me up. I explained what happened, he literally laughed in my face and told me he would review the tape and pretty much dismissed me and my concern for the abused dog. He told me that he did not witness what happened because he had a line full of people, which was a lie, he had me and the lady behind me who also voiced her concern about the abuse. He told me that he would review the tape and then walked away from me. I went out to my car, grabbed my 98.00 purchase and returned it, I was so upset that he seriously did not care, he eventually walked up to me, informed me that the lady's name was Theresa and she did nothing wrong, he stated that she would be more than happy to come and explain to me that she did nothing wrong and while I waited in line, she gave me constant evil glares. The dog was still squirming and she called over a guy who pinned the dog down on the table so that she could finish grooming the dog. The customer behind me explained that she was not happy about how the dog was being treated either. But Jeremy came back up to me gave me a number with 3 extra digits. He would not get away from me and kept telling me that nothing was wrong with how the dog was being abused. I will NEVER shop at PetSmart again, I am not going to tolerate animals being abused and no one defending them. I actually went immediately over to PetCo, of course I paid more for almost the same items but to me, I am not going to give money to a company that is completely ok with the mistreatment and abuse of animals! read more

I tried to return some dog food that my mother in law had gotten from Petsmart on the way through Vegas driving out to our home in Pahrump.. It was the right brand of dog food but the wrong type . Since we were all out of the dog food that we were using and our dog has stomach issues and we didn't have a way to get out there that day we only wanted to change her food once so we ended up going with a dog food that is made locally. I was told by the manager on duty that we could get store credit, since we do not have the receipt and my mother in law did not use a rewards card because she doesn't shop there and was just doing us a favor. When I went to check out he told me then that I had to exchange it for another food. So I explained to him, again, that we had no need for any of the food that they sell because we can't switch over our dog food again. First of all, that's not what he said when I initially spoke to him, secondly, having worked for a major grocery company for over 16 years, I've never heard of a company not giving store credit, at least. When I left the store I called the main office and gave the lady on the phone all of the information. What I got in return was a call back from the same manager on duty that I could just come and pick back up the food but that they still could not help me. Thankfully I have no need to shop there anymore for food, which I have been buying the large bags of the limited ingredient diet of blue wilderness which is quite expensive, but I will no longer be using Petsmart for dog grooming or any other dogs necessities in the future. I would also like to say that the cashier when we walked in with immediately asking everyone for their phone number, not a rewards card, and not even a hello or a smile. Doesn't seem like the employees want to be there either. read more

My dog has been groomed here for the past year. There is only one particular groomer we use since we've experienced our dog returned to us with her fur wet and smelling like we just dropped her off. We would only take our dog in because of that groomer. She takes her time and provides us with a pawgress report. We made an appointment 2 weeks prior called to confirm the day of. We get there early and 2 of there workers ask me if I've been helped and I still stood there. Then this other worker comes up and asks me for her rabies vaccination papers. Huh? I understand we need to provide vaccination paper work, BUT why wouldn't the workers mention that when I scheduled the appointment or when I called that morning to confirm. Then he asks me how far I live and if I can go get it so my scheduled appointment doesn't cause a delay for others. In addition to that I'm given an attitude. Don't bother wasting your time or money here. read more

Took our dogs in for doggie day camp, From check in on, employees were rude and kept over talking, would not listen to anything you said to them. Left written instructions to not separate my 2 dogs as 1 was a rescue, received a call that my dogs had been pulled from the group because my lab was being snippy with other dogs. When I got there to pick my dogs up, they explained, how bad my lab was to me and how they had to pull him for time outs repeatedly, even tried putting him in a different group, which made me wonder about my instructions of not separating the 2 dogs clearly they had. So when I asked about how my second dog handled this, they said clearly he doesn't like being separated from my lab, and started acting up, so they were forced to put him in time outs as well. finally just pulling them both. I asked for copies of my paper work, and was told they didn't think they could provide me with that. I asked for a manager who came back and made copies and gave the paper work to me, I again asked about separating the dogs, got the same story again, as soon as I opened the paper work to the written instructions showing not to separate them, she started spinning lie after lie, making the issues with my dogs much grander then they originally had stated and down playing the time separated from putting them in two different groups to only separating them for 60 seconds at the longest. I had grooming schedule for my dogs on Sat. I cancelled that appointment and said I would never bring my dogs back in again.I questioned the grooming being cancelled 3 different times was assured by the day care manager it had been cancelled. Sat afternoon I received a call from the grooming, saying I missed my appointments and would be charged for the time. I blew up demanding to speak with a store manager. I was transferred to some poor young lady who stated she was only in charge of birds. She tried to get the store manager for me, but the store manager would not take my call. I asked that a store manager call me back, I was assured Damon who was a manager and had been with the company for 15 years would call me back the following day. I have never heard from them again. This is the 2nd bad experience we have had with a Pet Smart and I will never give this company my business again. Their customer service is non existent and their treatment of animals is horrific. Clearly those who are working in the day camp facilities have no clue on animal behavior, A dog snipping is an indication of an alpha challenging them, its like the 2nd foul in a ball game always being the one caught. Dont put yourself or your animals through the drama of dealing with these people. read more

The staff is great when it comes to human interaction. However I've witnessed times where they staff was cursing at a dog or getting angry because the dog didn't want to cooperate. It's a dog! Of course they're going to be difficult but yelling isn't going to make them more comfortable. The cut it's self seems to be choppy, I have a toy and a sporting dog both had been shaved sloppy, also cutting the quick while trimming nails, and not even mentioning it to me. The staff clearly needs some retraining on how to properly handle pets and how to use their tools correctly. read more

Well a one star from my experience here. This review is just for the grooming. I've been in different petsmart branches to get my bulldog groomed in Utah. I never had a problem with them and I was pretty happy with their service. Got everything done and even gives my dog a little scarf after the grooming. However, this petsmart is quite the opposite. I dropped off my bulldog and left him there for 3 hours. I requested for basic bath and nails clipped. I came back to pick him up and noticed that there wasnt a little scarf, and my dog smelled the same and they didn't get to clip his nails either. He didn't smell bad but I guess they bathed him. They told me about my dog's head bleeding because he tripped and hit his head on the floor or something. Obviously a lie and it was a wound on top of his head, right above his eye. And they Reffered me to their petsmart clinic right across the registers that I would probably pay hundreds more... I just let it slide this time since I can clean up the wound myself and patch him up. Paid them 25$ and left... Probably never come back, but I would like to give others my experience about this place. read more

My two dogs stayed in the pet hotel for three days. This was there first time away from home. The employees were very friendly and patient with my dogs. When I picked up my dogs they were happy and I could tell they were taken care of very well. I appreciate the great employees and everything they do. Thank you!! read more

I will not be bringing my dogs back to the pets hotel here after my most recent visit. ALL the employees at the pets hotel have an angry look on their faces and I dealt with one particularly difficult little man with tattoos and a Mohawk. After a previous visit where the staff could not find my dogs leftover food, we decided to give them a second chance. This time, when asking about the food, the man with the tattoos procured an empty bag of food and said "looks like they finished it all" after speaking to the other guy who couldn't find the food last time. I find it difficult to believe that after 3 days, my two Pomeranians finished an entire bag of food. Petty! Besides, why would they keep an empty bag of food? The lobby always smells of urine, and due to the simple fact that all the employees seem miserable, who knows how they treat my dogs? I called on my way to pick up the dogs and asked if they could be taken out for a potty break before my arrival, and was rudely told they were too busy and short staffed but they would "try." Seems like a you problem and not a me problem, I'm paying for my dogs to be taken care of, so take care of them! Upon my arrival, there were no less than 6 employees working the pets hotel. Come to find out, the man who was incredibly rude to me over the phone was the same man who was rude to me at the store. If you hate your job so much, get a new one! In addition, it appears that one of the dogs has contracted an ear infection during their stay. Very disappointed!! read more

This review is for the pet daycare. Price is right but I was appalled that dogs had to go potty on the tile floor on which they played; that is not right and not a good thing for animals to think they can do. I will never use this facility again; there should be an outside source for this necessary function. read more

One thing I hate more than anything is dishonest people...went to pick up my little Maltese dog at the groomers and before they hand her to me the girl says "We noticed a red spot on her belly, looks like allergies, Got me by surprise because I rubbed her belly every morning before we get out of bed and she did not had that mark, when I look closer, she had smeared blood , they freaking scrapped her with the machine they use.. I told her that is a scrapped not allergies and she tells me there is nothing we can't do EXCUSE ME !!! As a former employee who quit after 2 years with no infractions or write ups I leave this info for the truth not revenge. Very dishonest business practice at the hotel. What they don't tell you is if the night time staff is working solo they are restricted from entering kennels and your dog maybe laying in their poop or vomit for hours until morning staff arrives. Personal items such as blankets and toys not given to the dogs but remained on shelf so they wouldn't need to be laundered. Water not changed frequently and slimy. You may pay for group play but if they are over capacity your dog will be rotated in and out and not receiving full paid time or if they send staff home for budget purposes and combine the camps some dogs will be put in kennel because it is over capacity for one employee. Things needed as mops etc are denied for budget reasons etc. Nothing done by district manager down to hotel manager dishonest. For those of you that don't put your dog in group and our told they will have personal time, your dogs are given approx 5 minutes 3 times per day and are in kennels the other 23+ hours. Some dogs without beds or blankets lay on a cold concrete floor no different from the animal shelter. Seen very traumatized dogs whom pet parents were never called. Some dogs left don't eat etc for days. Never would I place my dog there. This info is true and honest and I could not be accepting of read more

Just moved to Nevada and maybe I am spoiled due to the excellent Petsmart where we previously lived but after reading the reviews here, other than people that are excited about large windows, I am not the only person that shares a negative opinion of this Petsmart. My husband did a huge errand for me (he hates using coupons). He stopped to get me a bag of Breeze litter and was told by the MANAGER that he could not use the coupon, due to the fact that Breeze cat litter does not qualify as cat litter. Think that about covers it. I read the bag, (I dislike the self doubting-even if it's for just a few moments) just in case, and yep it says cat litter right on the front of the bag. Think they need to change the wording on their Breeze cat litter bags. Will get it at Walmart or PetCo from now on. read more

Petsmart HOTEL omg so so so sad. im not to sure about the training for the hotel area. But doggy parents leaving your pet children is SAD. I sat and watched a little dog in the play room with about 6 plus big dogs getting bullied chased and harassed. It was so sad my friend said i should have recorded it. didnt think about that but i told front desk lady and they acted like everything is ok. I pointed out 3 issues then they removed the big dog. little dog was still being chased. why is the little dog in there with over 6 big dogs? little dogs should be with little dogs. Ill be calling corporate in the a.m. I would not appreciate that for my pet. it was unsettling. Dog owners its already sad u cant watch your dogs but choose to have them then put them away. So make sure sure yours dog is not being tormented. leave employees notes because they can careless. this is a pay check! what if you were in the dogs shoes how would you feel #selfishpeople #carelesspeople read more

Can I just say how much I adore this places Pet Hotel? I was taking my dog Kitty to another place but after they tried to scam me, I decided to give Petsmart a try. And while the price is a bit higher, the amount of hours is better for what I am paying (for four dollars less I was only getting 4 hours of daycare if I wanted a half day compared to 6 hours at Petsmart). But that really isn't the only reason I love this place. My dog isn't exactly a common breed. She is a catahoula and the other place could not for the life of them even recall who she was, despite being a frequent customer 1-2 times a week almost. They didn't know who I was, and while I don't care if they remember my name, at least know my face. Now taking her to Petsmart, not only do they know which pet I am coming to get, but they know her breed, and know who she is. I was at an outside pet event recently and Petsmart usually has a booth set up at these things and I was delighted to see one of the employees recognized Kitty, which tells me they know their customers and their dogs. She recalled kitties name was so happy to see her. Kitty gets excited to come to daycare, and they have no problem setting us up if I decide to do a sudden overnight, not like the other place that just seemed bothered by it. I like that they do little random pet events for the holidays or people events like the superbowl or the oscars and offer pet treats and pictures. They are super nice here and you can tell they really care about the pets that come in. The hours are also nice. Most places close at 6 so its nice to see Kitty can stay longer if need be, given I dont get off work until 5 or 6 pm sometimes. They open at 7 so I can drop her off before heading in and its never an issue. Overall, we will continue to be a customer. read more

Honestly the best Petsmart ever! I was in vacation for 4 days and I needed a place to board my dog. I found out that the Petsmart in Las Vegas had a pet hotel so I quickly called and made a reservation. It was pretty cheap only costing me $82 for 4 nights! With that I got the doggie play for two days. The empolyee at the front desk was really nice and it showed that they cared. When I droped him off I saw them take my dog to his room which was pretty cool. The next day I called them to see how my dog was doing and they gave me a full update on him which was good to know. On the last day the front desk empolyee went out and got my dog with all his toys in good condition plus a FREE tote bag in it containing two bags of treats, greenies, and an extra soft blanket! They also gave us his report card that had everything recorded from his friend that he played with to how long of naps he took!! I was really happy I boared my dog with Petsmart! Would recommend it to everyone! read more
