I have been taking my dog to Kim for the past two years......We began at the Lewisville location, then she moved to Castle Hills, and now she is at Flower Mound. I live in The Colony so it is a drive to go to the Flower Mound location but I don't mind going to Flower Mound to have my dog groomed. SHE IS AMAZING! She always takes care of my furry animal and he enjoys going and being groomed by her. Terrible grooming services. We took our dogs there a while back and will NEVER go back. We were told our Pomeranian was so bad they couldn't actually cut his front legs, he looked ridiculous! We took him to the American Spa and Pet Resort in Argyle and they had no issue at all plus it was less expensive and they were great! I have boarded my dogs twice with petsmart hotel. My dogs were well cared for and had family come check on the dogs so I know they were. Also both dogs had play time that I paid for but also my dogs were played with anyway, many treats as well. Please, please don't go to this location. I give them one star because it requires a star. We brought our dog in for a groom and cut. They told us three hours, four max, and it took 6 hours. We had to hang out in town all day. Then they did a poor job and took the easy route with our dog's haircut. They shaved him instead of trimming him down. Please don't come to this location. My 2 puppies and I always have a great time at Petsmart.. The store set up is great for bringing your dog in for a fun outing. We've met lots of other friendly dogs here, and they have good quality products. They have clean up stations for doggie poop mishaps, and the store always seems to be clean and not smell like dog poop or anything. Negatives: The pet grooming department customer service stinks. I don't think these people like their jobs, and they really aren't all that nice to the animals. Of course, this is based on one isoplated incident. Perhaps not all Petsmarts are this way. read more

Would never leave my dog here again. I boarded her several months ago and I ended up having to pay an additional 120 buck vet fee. When I picked up my dog, it was obvious she had been trampling/laying in her own feces, and there solution was to try and clean her with pet wipes. Was so mad, I was utterly speechless. My best guess is she is a big dog that was kept in a crate way too small, and watched by a bunch of kids who don't give a crap about your pet. read more

This review is around the PetsHotel and boarding my dog where he attended Day Camp. There are two reasons why I will never go to PetsMart Pets Hotel again to board my puppy, but they both are centered around negligence. (1) My poor Mac's last experience with PetsHotel in Flower Mound resulted in him getting bitten, which no one noticed and let him lick on the leg for atleast two days (if not more) causing all the skin around the bite and the bite itself to be infected. After the doctor drained it, cleaned it and treated it with Antibiotics I showed it to the Pets Hotel, which they did pay for the service. (2) However, To add to my lack of faith I do not think that they fed him while I was gone. He didn't go #2 when I brought him home on Friday (which is strange for my dog) and I did give him a greenie. He didn't go #2 in the morning either, which is even stranger and after going to the doctor he finally did go poop and it was green. That really started to scare me. So I made sure he had a good dinner, hand fed him breakfast on Sunday and after he had a good dinner on Sunday he finally had his first #2. Needless to say I was livid and will not go to Pets Mart boarding again. I had to find another pet caregiver quickly for my next travel and searched on Yelp, where I found the company Angels on Earth Pet Services or Pet Care and I AM SOOOOO GLAD I DID!!!! Alice is the owner of this pet care service and I am SOOOOOO HAPPY to have found her. I recommend her and her services profusely to anyone who has an animal, cats or dogs, to try her out. I have a problem with the manager of the store. I was asking him about some specific items for my skin sensitive dog. He seemed a little disoriented, and as I continued to ask him questions I noticed he was missing his two front teeth. He kept getting closer to me, and I felt very uncomfortable. My 14 year old daughter was with me and he kept staring at her while he was talking to me. My daughter said she thought he smelt like alcohol. Although I love PetSmart, I will not be shopping at that location while the manager Josh is there. He seems creepy, and he may be intoxicated. read more

Kim , the salon manager, is the most caring and hardworking person! There is no one else I would trust with my fur baby! You can just see how passionate she is about grooming and her salon. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to do anything to make sure you leave happy (: my fur baby is always excited to see her and after a spa day with Ms. Kim she looks and smells incredible! The groomers at the salon are awesome! They have great customer service and are a pleasure to speak to over the phone. The salon is clean and the staff is professional. Kim grooms my little Sampson, and I won't take him anywhere else. She pays attention to detail and if I forget to mention something when I drop him off she calls and asks about it. I like having Kim groom Sampson but I would be happy and confident to have any member of her staff take care of us. read more

The grooming department at PetSmart ALWAYS does an excellent job of grooming my three yorkies!

We have boarded our pets at the Pets Hotel for the past 7 years (1-2 times a year) and have always had a good experience. Our pups seem happy and well cared for upon our return. I like the Sunday pick up as it's surprisingly hard to find a boarding facility that is open on Sunday evenings, which is usually when we are returning from a trip. We also shop there for both our dog and cat food and the service has been consistently positive. We even adopted our cat from one of their adoption events a few years back. Can I say I've NEVER had a less than stellar cashier? Probably not, but then again, I probably can't say that about anywhere that I go to monthly over a period of years. I can definitely say that overall I like the service and the people there are nice and helpful. read more

I have been taking my puppy to daycare here for 5 months and every time I ask to have someone sit with him while he eats and allow him extra time to eat, they have always said yes. Today I called to check on my puppy and the lady told me they have never done any of this and will not do it! Also they do not take dogs outside to go to the bathroom they expect them to go inside. When I come to pick up my dog he pees all over the place. If I could give the daycare less then one star I would! read more

I am giving this place a 1 only because it exists. The women that work here are unprofessional and rude. The first time I came, they told me my dog was bad. They actually told me that. I've even heard them on the phone telling other customers how bad their pets are. Tonight, I wasn't called when my dog was done being groomed. Instead, I called after three hours. They claimed that they called me and left a message, which is false. On top of that, my dog doesn't even smell clean after "having a bath," and his nails don't look filed at all. I been taking my dog here for years and he always has a glowing report. He never bites when he is nervous, he licks, he is a sweet elderly dog. I can't believe how much this place has declined over the years. We used to bring both our dogs in and they always gave us great service - for probably 10 years we'd been coming here. One of our dogs was a bit more hyper than the other but we still got good reports on her. Recently her sister died. We knew it would be hard bringing her back alone but we had already boarded her since that happened and she did okay so we thought it would be okay to get her groomed. Today we had an appointment - booked several days in advance. Four hours after we dropped her off we get a call that her groomer got behind so someone else tried to step in and help and she started barking uncontrollably. They didn't even start working on her 4 hours after our appointment when they used to get 2 dogs done in less time. They called me to see if I wanted to come get her and I did. When I picked her up, they hadn't even towel-dried her, she was sopping wet. When we complained to the manager all he could say was they were really busy and tried to blame our dog for just getting too worked up and even went so far to say that our dog has a reputation for no one wanting to work on her. No wonder all the good groomers have left this place. I can't even give this a one star. My dog didn't stop crying for an hour after I got her home. read more

Not a fan of this location. I have used both the Alliance and Southlake locations and this one is sub par. Banfield only takes drop offs on Saturdays because they are too busy? I do not trust dropping my dogs off for a vet visit. Things get over-looked or not done and they aren't thorough. 2 Saturdays ago I had to drop my dogs off for their routine dental cleaning and it turns out they decided to give one of my dogs his Bordetella vaccine 2 months early. They said I signed for it when I signed off for the treatment plan, but that is not true. If that were the case they would have done BOTH dogs and not just one and they can't offer me an explanation as to why. I don't believe in these vaccines and only do them when I have to (read up on them). I also asked on the treatment plan to have their nails trimmed, but did they do them? Nope. Really it doesn't appear like they paid any attention to the treatment plan that they said I signed off on! Same type of experience with the grooming salon. I am surprised Flower Mound can't perform at the same level as the Southlake or even the Alliance location. They also tried to charge me for some antibiotics to take home after the dental cleaning. Really? These people are just here to take your money. Rude staff and unapologetic. Very disappointed. read more

This was the worst grooming our 12 year old poodle has ever had. We asked for a poodle cut with the body cut short and the legs longer. Also we wanted a mustach. Her body was cut short all over including her legs. Her nose was cut short half way up her face then is long. Looks like she has mutton chops. Her hair is cut shorter over one eye then the other and the hair under her chin is long. There are also long strans of hair on her belly. the grooming manager was recommended by my vet. he took care of my poodle for a couple of years but was promoted out of that capacity. The most recent grooming resulted in a "fast-rushed" groom 1.5 hour turn around--their schedule not mine (still at $70) . they failed to tell me that they had burned my standard poodle's face with a shaver for all of their rush! I took my girl to the vet and she confirmed it. They apparently teach class at this facility so you never really know who your groomer is---not at any price is this worth hurting my best friend. read more

i used to go here from time to time to purchase cat food. I'd buy Iams since that was what my cat liked and it was cheaper here. While there, I would browse the lizard selection and check out odds and ends. The customer service is hit and miss and finding someone ready to check you out can be an ordeal at times. Grooming NO! I called to make an appointment and the girl made it sound like it would take several hours to groom both of my dogs...no problem. When I went to drop them off, one of the other groomers said, "Are those both yours?" "Yes" the other groomer replied. I realized that the groomer checking me in scheduled both dogs for herself...why, so she could get extra money while another groomer sat on her phone? My dogs are big and were rowdy from excitement after going in the car but the first groomer did nothing to help me while the other one checked me in. She sat on her phone! Clearly there was no team environment here and they had no problem wasting my time. The place was filthy when I picked them up...hair everywhere...which would not be a problem (that's what happens at a groomer) except that the employee that was there at pick up was ON HER PHONE while my groomer checked me out. What is it with people? Could she not clean the place up first? Additionally, all three of the groomers I saw working that day had greasy hair and looked as if they needed a shower. How do you work as a groomer but don't take care of yourself? GROSS! We will not be back to this location. read more

Upon walking into the house, my dog immediately went to his water bowl and drank and exorbitant amount of water. I then put down his food bowl and he immediate ate an entire can of food, I gave him another 1/2 can and he ate that. (This was approx. 1 1/2 hours after the normal feeding time at PetSmart. I am firmly of the opinion that my dog was in their care for 3 days and was fed a total of 2 cans of Dog Food and very little water. I don't treat my animals like this and I do not allow anyone else to treat them this way. They called today and tried to apologize and attempted to explain that he was feed food that was left over from other visits, until I informed them that their explanation meant that he had miss meals on prior occasions and they simply did not return the unused cans of food. I recently discovered that I can get his food through Chewy.com and save $10.00 per case below PetSmart prices and its delivered to my door for free. That in addition to the above incident means that I AM DONE WITH PETSMART. read more

The employees lie out their teeth about the health of their small animals. We were told that all the rats there were given antibiotics and are not sick. Yet after we purchased a pet rat and took it home we soon noticed a red discharge from its eyes and nose and it sneezed every 5 seconds or so which the employee that helped us promised us that the rat was in prime condition. Unfortunately this rat had a very dangerous respiratory disease that is known to be highly contagious and to be fatal if not treated properly. This rat was also in a cage with 2 other rats and they are sure to be infected as well. I do not recommend shopping at petsmart for a small animals because they surely will be infected as well and the employees will tell you anything to make a sell. Please do yourself a favor and do not shop there. read more

I honestly wish the Petsmart franchise was shut down for good for a few reasons. 1) I am pretty educated in small pet care and about 75% of the products sold towards small pets are unsafe and potentially deadly and the care they tell you about is completely wrong for example things as simple as cotton fluff that they sell as nesting material is one of the most deadly items on the small pet market most of the time it strangles the animal to death or if the animal tries to carry it to its nesting place and the animal carries it in its mouth and the animal accidentally swallows it then it will cause the intestines the clog and the animal to be dead within a day without even knowing what was wrong, my 8 year old cousin got a hamster from there and petsmart told her that she should get some cotton fluff she did nod she put it in the hamsters cage about 3 days later she found it dead with the fluff surrounding it and you could see where the cotton had gotten caught around the limbs of the hamster and cut off the circulation to its legs and they had fallen and the hamster bled to death. 2) about 5 months ago a man in witch it's falls TX found 3 live iguanas that were in a cardboard box and were wrapped in chicken wire and thrown into the dumpster and they were LIVE about a week ago I decided to look in petsmarts dumpster to see if there were any live animals and sure enough I found 7 full fish bags that all had live fish in them and there were no noticeable problems with them just that maybe they had an overstock but i think that us no reason to throw a living creature in a dumpster to be squished and thrown into a landfill.
