Wow! Completely blown away with how QUICK and easy my Chiweenies nail trim was today! Normally nail trims completely stress my dog out and they aren't the Easiest thing for us.. today he was in and out in under two minutes and for once he did not freak out or get overstressed! 5 STARS isn't enough for this place! The office is small but clean and not intimidating for your pup! I have taken my dog in to be groomed in the past and at one time they cut my a cyst in my dog which resulted in it getting infected. I had to take him to the vet, but chose to incur that expense. The next time I took him in, I reminded them of the cyst, I pointed it out to the owner. We both looked at it and she assured me they would bd careful. They ended up cutting him again, he incurred a really bad infection and refused to take any responsibility and refused to reimburse my medical bill. They tried to indicate it was like that when I dropped him off, but owner never mentioned seeing that it was bleeding at the time of drop off, because IT WAS NOT! We both looked at it! She then told me it was bleeding when I stopped off. I feel like she totally gas lighted me. I was happy using them previously, but cannot do business with someone who is not honest. read more

Such a good groomer. This past week was the first time I brought my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel there, and let me say, they were amazing. They were so nice and did a great job! They were very accommodating and it was so easy to get in. On arrival I asked for a short haircut because we live by woods and she gets burrs a lot, so we were going for more of a summertime haircut. I ended up choosing the 1/2 inch all over. They we're so sweet to her and after about 2 hours later I was called to come pick her up, she looked great. They trimmed and evened her ears and tail then did a 1/2 inch cut all over. She loves her haircut and the people there. Not to mention they were EXTREMELY reasonably priced. Walking in she had a ton of messy dirty hair with burrs and matts & walking out she was smellin' nice and was groomed perfectly. All that was $45. Looking forward to coming again! read more

Do not take an elder dog to this place. We have been using the for 15 years and we took our 10 year collie and wanted to make sure he was not put in a cage. Took him at 8:00 am and they called us at 10 saying he collapsed. They had strapped him around his belly to help hold him up and his spleen raptured and we had to take him to the vet and put him down. Why not have him lay down to shave him? Why do you need him up? The vet said they would have layed him down. We just didn't know he was that bad. He was fine at home. He went to the vet last week and he was fine. I like to support small businesses but strapping a strap around a dogs belly should not be allowed. I had no idea they did this. I also asked to have his shaved to have his fur an 1 12/ inches long. His stomach was bare to his belly. There was a huge bruise from around his belly to his sides where the strap was??? read more

I took my Maltipoo here for a trim and bath and she was sent home with a big cut on her inner ear. I understand that this happens sometimes, especially when dogs are squirmy like mine is. However, they neglected to tell me about this injury and instead covered it up with tissue glue. Her ear developed a huge bloody scab. Luckily the glue fell off and she healed just fine. I wouldn't trust this place with my baby anymore. read more

They do a decent job. Guys are a bit quirky but they trimmed up the Portuguese Water Poodle I brought in nicely enough, got all the burs stuck in her and she smelled nice. They made me pay before they brought her out for me to inspect, which was odd--other places I've been do it opposite. They didn't do her nails short like I asked. Before I brought Hildi in her nails were constantly raking me and when she was brought out they were only mildly trimmed. Guy said groomer had gone as short as he could but had clipped one toe too short which caused bleeding, so they backed off a bit. But my black lab has had better nail trims so I call bs. I try to brush them at home so they are used to grooming. Scheduling is so easy too. All in all, would never consider taking them to anyone else. Good people too. I have used Love Your Pet for over "3 years" for my two dogs - one of which is a full breed border collie. I brought my pups in a couple weeks ago, and I said just clean up my border collie as you normally do. I then go to pick my dogs up, and my border collie is shaved bald. I was literally at a loss for words. I tried to explain to the owner what they did, and she had the audacity to say they shave many border collies. I do not know who they think they are, but that is nuts. Her new, obviously not very bright, assistant, simply looked up some dog from 2009, not my dog, and off went my dogs coat. All they could say was: I am sorry, and if I could superglue it back on, I would. Then she said it will grow back in 2 months. Wrong ......... It will take around 7 months. Unbelievable. She then gave me my money back - big deal .......... With border collies you simply trim the loose undercoat hair. These people groomed this dog numerous times, yet did this to my dog? If you have a pure breed dog, NEVER take your dog here. They have no clue. For their information, you should never shave a border collie! Border Collies dogs have a soft undercoat for insulation AND a longer outer coat for protection against wind, rain etc. If you shave the dog, it will have no protection against the elements and will be very susceptible to illness as the wind, rain & snow can soak all the way to its skin. Also, the dog's outer coat may never grow back properly if you shave it off, so you run the risk of ruining your dog's appearance forever. My poor dog was so gorgeous. Border Collie's are made to be long coated, so no owner would ever have this dog shaved. I will just have to wait and see. My dog looks like a giant Chihuahua. read more

But any corrections have always been very minor and seldom. My dogs have never been harmed in any way. The front office is very easy to deal with and to make appointments. I am surprised at the bad reviews. This is a wonderful family owned business. They have reasonable prices and always treat me and my dog with respect. They always ask me how I would like me dog groomed and follow my instructions perfectly. So the people who got grooming they didn't want must not have taken the time to use their words. I used to have a dalmation whose coat would yellow. Only when I brought him to Love your pet did he come back white. Also, any other groomer and my dogs always came back with tons of loose fur. You can't pet them without making a mess. But this place takes their time to really clean up all the loose fur after they are washed so that your dog doesn't come home shedding up a storm. read more

Overall my dog looks good but the first time I took him they nicked the tip of his ear and I didn't think much of it. The owner apologized many times for it. I just picked him up again and they didn't shave his butt, he still has poop on his butt. After paying I realized it and they claimed the owners left for the day at 2:30pm so all I got was a "sorry." I will never go back to this groomer! I made and apt with the groomers and took my dog there to drop him off. I was told they are short staffed so it would be 3-4 hours. More likely 4. I said fine no biggie. I retured to pick up my dog 3 hours and 45 min later to be told its gonna be another 3 hours. Wait.....what? I'm sorry? I had an appt...I don't understand?!! All I get is...sorry we are short staffed. At this point i'm concerned if he has any water in the cage that i'm sure he's locked in. As well as potty needs have probably not been addressed. I asked her if I could take him outside. She said....don't worry about I'll take care of him. So my recommendation is that if you want to drop your dog off to be placed in a cage for 6 hours without water and potty breaks...this is your place!!! read more
