If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My dogs ABSOLUTELY love it here. I have been bringing my dog (Sugar) here for a while now and every time she goes she has the best time. I feel so much comfort knowing that she's safe and having fun. Before Canine Courtyard, I have never boarded my dog before and was worried. They have pool days on hot, sunny days and they have an indoor yard on cold, rainy days. You get the best of both worlds.They have an option for a "puppy postcard" where they send you an update with pictures of them and how they're doing. They also threw a birthday party for Sugar when she was boarded there. It brought me so much peace knowing that she was safe, having fun and being loved by the staff. The techs there really bond with the dogs which I really appreciate since Sugar is a super affectionate dog. Yesterday was my first time bringing my new puppy (Cookie) there and she also had an amazing time. I highly recommend this place for boarding, daycare, training and grooming as well. 10/10! read more

This place is the absolute best! The staff is out of this world! I was crying when I dropped off my pup, and the staff sent me this photo of him minutes later! The place is clean and new, and the pups get so much time and space to play! My pup Mushu gets a bath before coming home, and he smells INCREDIBLE when we pick him up! Totally impressed by my dog's groom. I have an aussiedoodle, with a fairly unusual coat, not really typical Aussie, poodle, or doodle coat. I had a really hard time conveying what I wanted, except for the "don't touch his snout." She told me what she was going to do, and I agreed. Honestly, I expected a weird looking dog when I picked him up just because of all the grooming horror stories I've seen and read, but I could NOT be more impressed with the groom. Not only was the groom a 11/10, but the service was spectacular. I was greeted, communicated with, and all of my questions were answered. Definitely will book again and in the future as my puppy grows. I went in with a puppy that looks like he doesn't know how to stay put together, and walked out with a dog that looks like he works an office job. SO IMPRESSED. read more

We started coming to Canine Courtyard a few weeks ago and have loved them. I was very particular about the boarding places we considered and Canine Courtyard was the only one that checked all our boxes. We've done daycare and boarding so far and have have a great experience. The staff is always super friendly and seem to genuinely care about the dogs. This was the first time we boarded our new baby we adopted during COVID, so I was nervous taking her somewhere. After our first doggy daycare, I could tell we found her new home away from home! It's nice that the dogs are able to play all day and are matched with friends similar size and temperament. We'll definitely continue coming back. Took my dog for a Greet and Meet. I was nervous because she has only been around my small older dog and my cat since I took her in January 2021. Everyone was nice and understanding. People are great and my dogs love them but I will never take my dogs there again. The two times that I have boarded my dogs there they have come home with kennel cough. One also came home with skin infections on the side of his face. The comforter that I sent with him smelled so bad. I tried everything but never couldn't get the smell out. This place continues to exceed our expectations. We've come in and had the dogs greeted by name. Of our 3 dogs, we have 2 small dogs and 1 big one. They were separating them during playtime because of size (understandably so). On a recent visit, they let us know that they allowed Molly (big dog) to play with the little dogs because all she did during the outside time was mope and look for our other dogs (she's especially protective of our yorkie). Once they did that, all was good. She's definitely not an aggressive dog and just wanted to be with her pack, so I'm glad that they acknowledged that and considered it safe enough to do so. It's this attention to detail that I appreciate! The yorkie has gotten groomed there a few more times and each time they've listened to my requests. I'm picky about the length of cut and every time they have done their best. This last time they nailed the haircut just like I like it! They've also been able to get him groomed on short notice. They have had a few price increases since we joined, but we will continue to go there because the quality of service is wonderful. read more

We were extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service at Canine Courtyard. We scheduled a Saturday appointment for grooming services (one dog just needed a bath; the other needed to be shaved down). They called us early Saturday morning to see if they could reschedule us for Sunday since they had a groomer out sick. We were very understanding and agreed to bring them Sunday. We dropped them off at 8am on Sunday. Since we hadn't heard from them by 1pm, I called to see if they were still working on our dogs. I was told they would be ready closer to 5pm. At 3:30pm they called us to say they could bathe one of our dogs, but couldn't complete the other dog because they had a groomer walk out on them and had a lot of other complicated dogs that day. So, they had our dogs cooped up for over 7 hours and never managed to do a thing to either of them during that time. They said we could reschedule our second dog for another day and they would give us a 20% discount. We told them not to bother bathing one dog, we would just pick them both up. Somehow, I imagined that our dogs would have taken priority over others since we were already rescheduled from Saturday. Surely they knew they weren't going to be able to get our dogs finished before they called at 3:30pm. When we arrived, there was no owner or manager on hand and it was clear that no one was concerned that we were upset. Obviously, we weren't about to take it out on some teenager at the front desk that wasn't empowered to do anything. So, it was a completely frustrating experience! We will never use Canine Courtyard again for any services, given their serious lack of customer service! read more

Our girl Garcia absolutely loves this place. With the recent rainy weather that went on for days, she would've been bored senseless just hanging out in the house. She fairly jumps out the window to get in the building, and bowls over whatever staff member is at the desk waiting to check the dogs in! Pretty comical, but that's how excited she is to go. She always comes home worn out and ready to sleep thank goodness, because she's a 9 month old German Shepherd puppy. Ariel, who answered the phone is amazing. However, after getting a bath there my dog came down with a horrible cough. I called and spoke to the owner and was SHOCKED at how rude he was. I finally had had enough of him telling me I was making it up and told him I was done with the conversation. He called me back 3 more times and expects me to call him today to tell him how the dog is doing. He's about the same and I'm about $103 poorer. As for boarding dogs there I don't know but I was told it's $71 for two dogs in one run. Windsong Kennels in Argyle does it for half of that. I will not be returning to the rude owner of Canine Courtyard. I have received a call from the manager, Sarah, who was very polite and understanding. I think that maybe it would be better if Paul stayed in the back and you dealt with the manager Lauren. Paul may be great with dogs but he is definitely not good with humans. read more

Yesterday we took our Westie/Affenpinscher mix to be groomed. Several years ago we had boarded our dog here and was very satisfied with their service. The owner gave us a tour of the facility and was very helpful. Therefore, when our usual groomer was unavailiable, I thought Canine Courtyard would be a good alternative. When my husband dropped her off, he said the young man at the front was on the phone and computer, and never acknowledged his presence. Finally, a young lady came in, and helped him. When we picked our dog up, I was very disappointed with the cut. The groomer, Courtney, cut the hair on her face too short resulting in her looking more like a Pomeranian than a Westie. Also, I was quoted a cost of $50.00 plus an additional $5.00 to file her nails. The price ended up being $64.00 plus. The cost wasn't as much an issue as the cut. I can't say I would not board my pets here in the future, but I will not be having my dog groomed here again. read more

We've been taking our dogs here for a few years for grooming services. We have boarded them here as well over an extended holiday. The staff are friendly and know our pups whenever we come by. They are conscious about keeping the environment healthy and make sure we're up to date on our vaccination records. The other thing we love is that the grooming look is maintained well as their hair grows back. We would only trust our pups here. read more

We will never return to this place. Our dog Murphy was groomed on 12/12/13. The groomer called in the middle of the day to report my dog was being difficult. I offered to come get my dog as is and the groomer said no need, they were almost done. I went to the office anyway and waited for the grooming to finish. Murphy was blinking a lot in her left eye when we got home and within 3 hours the eye was closed. This morning it looks much worse. Awaiting a report from our vet. In hindsight I believe the groomer somehow injured Murphy's eye and placed the call to lay the ground for making an excuse when called back to complain. Tuesday I took my puppy to get a cut & the groomer cut his stomach so badly that medical attention was needed. Instead of receiving a call or my puppy being taken to the Vet I provided them information with from the beginning, she took matters into her own hands and put some kind of glue to hold it together. When I went to pick him up I was informed of what happened. I was furious and took him to see his vet right away. When at the vet, the dr discovered burns on my puppy's testicles and other cuts on his body. I recieved prescriptions and was told that the glue they used was not even a surgical glue that vets use. The vet was very concerned and I had to take him back to a vet on Wednesday and he recieved stitches. I got in touch with the owners to discuss this. They were very apologetic and agreed to pay for his medical bills. Not only did they show genuine care for my puppy, they also fired the terrible groomer that did it to him. One of the owners showed up to the vet and was there while my puppy got checked out and got stitches. Although I was furious and many other emotions, I give the owners 5 stars. No it doesn't take the pain away from my puppy or make him less scared of strangers, but it is nice to feel cared about after a terrible situation like so. It isn't this businesses fault for what happened to my puppy. It was solely the groomer. The reason details are listed is to remind everyone that even in a bad situation by one employee, it shouldn't affect a business as a whole. They other groomers here are awesome!! read more
