I have been taking my dog here few a few years now. Every time I take him there, he comes out looking spiffy and smelling great. They keep a file for him so I don't have to repeat myself every time I come in to tell them how to groom him. I have never shopped around since I came to the Pampered Pooch, because the value and quality of their service is consistent and I care about how my dog is treated at the groomer and how he looks afterwards. Previously we had taken him to PetSmart to get groomed and he had dogshit matted on his backside when we picked him up. It was disgusting. The ladies at Pampered Pooch always take care of him and I have zero complaints. I recommend this company completely. Don't take a gamble with the well being of your pet. I want to start with this is not a "Karen" post. I'm not even a part of the Karen generation and I don't even leave reviews ever but I felt it was necessary here. I have a 8 1/2 month old Aussie Doodle and Pampered Pooch is close to where I live and the reviews I saw were not bad so I decided to bring my girl there. The first time I took Bexlie they did everything I asked but did not do anything with her ears and I understand because it was her first time to the groomers and she is a puppy and they didn't want her have PTSD from it and I totally agreed. However, when I took her back the second time I said let's go ahead and clean her ears this time. This is something she will need to get use to and if we wait to do it she will not let anyone do it in the future. Mind you, Bexlie is sweet as pie and she will pull away but she has never showed her teeth to anything or anyone so there should be no reason to not clean her ears, right? Well I got her home and of course I'm checking her over and I noticed her ears weren't cleaned, I called in to let them know and of course they assured me they thought they did it but of course I can clearly see the buildup in her ears so I cleaned them myself. I took her in the third time and requested the same about her ears but also that we do a tighter sani and paw cleanup. Everything was perfectly fine this time but her ears were not trimmed even. It was more than just a centimeter, this was like a whole inch off so I don't know if she just pulled away but they should've at least evened up the other side. I didn't call in this time, I just evened it up myself and told myself I will give them one more shot. I took her in yesterday to get groomed and I said in the beginning of this I took her since she was a puppy and she was 13 weeks old and now she is 8 1/2 months old so you can only imagine how much she has grown now and I totally expected a price increase but when I dropped her off, nothing was said and I even confirmed with her groomed that we will not be cutting the top knot because we are growing it out for a ponytail. She replied with okay then Bexlie will have a ponytail today? And I replied yes that would be great. I told them thank you and left. I come back around 3:30pm yesterday to pick her up and top knot is completely cut off and left ear you can tell there was only a once over done in it and we didn't check to make sure they were completely clean. I am not one to make a scene or be dramatic bc I understand things can be fixed and honestly her hair will grow back. However, you don't do a service without letting the customer know there will be a different price when they come back, you do make sure you at least call the customer to let them know what the new price will be prior to doing anything to the puppy. There were just back to back unfortunate events and I just won't be bringing Bexlie back. There is just not enough detail taken and I feel like I am constantly being rushed out of the door whether I am dropping her off or paying and picking her up. I will say the ladies that do work there are very nice and I believe so know what they are doing however if you want exactly what you want done, done it's either going to be half done or just completely ignored altogether. I feel like I have given them more than a fair chance to do things right and I kept coming back while also tipping a generous amount because I understand it is not easy work. At the end of the day, they could have the best customer service and they are extremely nice but business is business and it's just too many "accidents" in a row. Bexlie is my baby and I think the highest amount of detail should be taken with each baby and I just don't think that is what is happening here. read more

TPP is just a fantastic collection of friendly, professional dog lovers. They all, especially Jenni, take such great care of our little boy Bob the Poodle so well, that he goes absolutely nuts when he knows he's close to their building. They have some type of dog whisper mojo about them because every time I walk in, all the dogs seem relaxed and happy as they are getting groomed. It's a sight to behold. I never review anything but this review is necessary and way overdue. They are an awesome company. My first visit I walked in on Saturday afternoon and was able to get both of my dogs nails trimmed in 10 minutes from start to finish. They did a great job. I had called earlier that morning and no one answered. I was thinking maybe their hours online were wrong. A few minutes later a polite lady called me back and apologized for missing my call. I had not left a message so I wasn't expecting a call back. Very professional. Being new to the area this left a great impression on me. I will be back. read more

I love this place so much! In fact, the woman pictured is who always takes care of my Caesar Paesar! I have brought my dog here for years. A couple of days ago, I had a scheduling conflict and reluctantly decided to make a same-day appointment for him at Pet Smart bc it was easily manageable. Long story short, they were incredibly rude at Pet Smart and turned us away almost as soon as we walked in. I called Pampered Pooch from the parking lot of Pet Smart. I explained that he had a hot spot above his tail (typical of him and his allergies) and that he is a bit of a mess because he's been through a move and is still anxious from it. They were nothing but understanding on the phone while I was making his appointment, and even ran by me the medicated shampoo they would like to use when I brought him in. I already felt better after making the appointment. This morning on my way to drop him off, I started to get anxious about bringing him in; they had been so rude and judgmental at Pet Smart and had made me feel so bad. I knew they weren't going to treat us that way at the Pampered Pooch, but the anxiety was lingering, for sure. When I got there, not only were they 100% gracious and understanding, they calmed my anxiety by bringing me to the back and showing me a couple of their personal dogs who were going through their own little issues! One sweet little pup was going through some of the same skin allergies as Caesar--typical of this time of year in TX. They knew how anxious I was, because I had gushed about it to them so much, on the phone and this morning, and they not only took all the time to let me vent, but also all of the time to calm my anxiety. I will never take Caesar to be groomed anywhere else. He is always taken care of so well here and leaves a happy pup every time. What more could you ask for?! Oh, he always LOOKS great when we leave, as well. :) read more

My dog is very laid back and loves people. When I went to pick her up she was quick to leave and had her tail tucked. She has been to other groomers and didn't want to leave so it was very unusual of her. My brother took his aussie and he returned with started having major hair loss. Poor baby had complete bald spots. Since sharing this experience with others, they have to said their dogs acted scared when they went to pick them up. Never will return. read more

We used to take our dogs to another groomer in Denton, we left that groomer because the owner was not very nice to my wife or myself as paying customers, or other customers from what we saw. We are so glad we left, which was hard because we loved our groomer. But we went to pampered pooch, and it was a great decision, the owner is very nice and pleasant, and so are all the girls. Now our groomer Cham who used to groom our dogs is at pampered pooch, so its a huge win!!! Thank you!! read more

Loved this place for several years but then two years ago today they asked we not come back unless we could provide a receipt from a pest company proving our home had been treated for fleas. So since then our five dogs have gone elsewhere along with our $$ which is to bad because they did a great job and hey dogs have fleas and thats why we paid them to give them a flea bath along with grooming.... read more
