I would think twice about off leash. Their integrity is non existent. They bate and switched training on me the day of drop off. I was told narcotics scent training was available but at drop off it was changed to birch wood. Then I have a dog with special needs as he will not eat away from home. I had to BEG for photos and updates knowing my dog wasn't eating for a week. Then they pass the SAME PHOTO and even sent me a screen shot of the edited time stamp to prove that they it wasn't edited. Guess they didn't look hard enough because the date the photo was really taken was on their screen shot. Attached are pics of the two weight pictures (drop off and pick up), a screen shot of the text message exchange and a close up showing the actual time stamp. My fiancé and I adopted a dog in September named Angus from Paws in the City. We live in an apartment complex with a dog park and we would take Angus to the dog park to socialize and take care of business. Our poor pupper was attacked twice by the same two dogs and it completely changed his behavior. He just lost trust in other dogs and became aggressive when he would come across another dog. We didn't know how to reverse this behavior and that's when we started researching on dog training. My fiancé found Off Leash, watched all of the videos on their training and we decided to go for their 8 week program. We started with the trainer Brandon and he was wonderful. He really took the time to let Angus get comfortable with him and showed us several commands that had us in awe. Brandon was no longer going to be available on Saturday's so we were going to be switching with Sarah. Brandon observed her for a few session and then she was solo. It was the same service all across the board. The last 2 or 3 sessions, we went to dog parks but just to walk around them, allowing Angus to get familiar with being around other dogs, and how to control his behavior. This has honestly made a HUGE difference with our pupper! The training doesn't stop even though we're done with the program. We're now able to walk off leash with him around the complex and he can place anywhere we point to. We still have to work on getting Angus to be more relaxed when coming in contact with other dogs but we're very confident that we have the proper tools to get him there! read more

If you are looking for a company to train your dog, I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training - Texas. We adopted a one year old female German Shepherd from the local animal shelter, and she was afraid of most objects, had very low self confidence, and was not socialized with any other animals. German Shepherds are a challenging breed when raised from puppies. Adopting her at one year old, after the trauma of being caught by animal services and an unknown past, we were having difficulties doing any type of training at all without resorting to old-school negative reinforcement all the time. We chose the two week 'boot camp' Off Leash offers, and received daily photos, videos of before and after progress, and daily communication with the trainer, including weekends. We picked her up and received two hours of training on how to continue working our dog, and then received a bonus 'retail environment' training session that was not included in the plan to help us even more. We've had Inara back for a day now, and the difference in attention and attitude is remarkable. We could not be more pleased. She held place with for over 10 minutes and then she left her place. With only a verbal command, she returned to her placement for another 10 minutes until I released her with the command. This was with me leaving the room multiple times, preparing breakfast and eating breakfast. We approached the training with the understanding that our pet would be trained with a foundation and that it was up to us to continue training and 'remember'. Dogs don't remember without reinforcement until they've had a long term exposure to what they're taught. Wow took my dog LuLu and she's doing great. Misty the trainer is excellent. She really loves dogs and has a great way of teaching the dog and me. I highly recommend them. We did a 2-week board and train with Brian and we are beyond happy with the results. We felt Sadie and Ally had a decent foundation going in, but we needed a few things sorted out - general behavior/obedience, confidence, leash reactive toward other dogs, etc. All I can say it they are on an entirely different level of training and obedience now. First day back and we're walking off-leash around the neighborhood with distractions - rabbits, other dogs barking and racing along fence lines, etc. Cool as cucumbers the entire time..the dogs and us. SO happy that I decided to take my Lab/Pharaoh Hound mix to Off Leash. I decided to book the Basic and Advanced commands for my Three-Year old dog. In the past, I have tried training and board-and-train with two other companies; however, Leo did not quite grasp concepts for a long period of time due to his high energy. I wish I could leave them more than 5-stars! Laci was such an amazing trainer, I'm just blown away by how much my dog has learned from her and how confident he is now! He handles distractions now like a pro! We are able to take him in area even when there are a lot of people walking past and he is able to patiently sit, watch and control the urge to say hello to everyone who passes! He's also doing so great at Offleash training, impulse control and most importantly, not darting out doors! We are also able to communicate so much better with Elmo with Laci's help! Laci was excellent at communicating with us everyday, sharing videos and pictures of Elmo (our 16-month German Shepherd Mix dog), keeping us up to date on his progress and well-being, and being SO patient in answering all of our questions! She really cares about dogs and took care of our Elmo as her own! Our dog had a really bad experience with a previous trainer so as paw-rents, my husband and I were SO happy to see how positively our little boy responded to Laci and how much he loved her! Cash was a 7 month old English Golden when he went to the "2-week Board and Train" with Mallory. He was not demonstrating any horrible behaviors, per se, but he is a puppy and we wanted him to learn inside manners and not to pull while walking. I work full-time and just don't have the time to dedicate to strict obedience. I cannot believe the difference in him. He walks perfectly (heel), comes when called, goes and stays where he is told to go. He was also not a fan of the car (AT ALL) - getting him in was a chore. Mallory worked with him to 'load' with no problem now. It is fun to watch him show off all his new skills. It makes me so much more comfortable when people come to the house. No longer does he jump on them (nearly knocking them down). Our belief was that if you have a big dog, they have to behave and obey directives. Personally, I was so sad to actually send him away for two weeks, but Mallory kept a Google photo album up to date demonstrating what they were working on and his progress. THE MONEY, it is a financial investment and I was concerned if it would be worth it. Let me assure you, it was worth every penny and I knew that Cash was in very loving hands. Mallory works with you and the particular needs of your pup, thereby customizing the training. My mom has Cash's sister and she is going to Mallory in a couple weeks as well. My mom is 75 and her dog could easily pull her down and counter surfs. Mallory said she would work with her specific issues to make her manageable for my mom. My miniature Schnauzer, Toby, is a playful, happy little guy almost two years old. Loves walks (pulling on the leash), running out the front door, not coming when called, chasing rabbits, and did I mention running out the front door! I tried training with treats, positive reinforcement, etc. He's stubborn and strong willed! I was afraid he would be hit by a car or eaten by a coyote (several in our neighborhood). I have several grandchildren and would stress out every time they would come through the front door because Toby would make a run for it and we would end up chasing him all over the neighborhood. Someone recommended OffLeash K9 training and I gave them a call. We were about to go on vacation and I decided the two week camp would work best for us. I met with Brian and he assured me Toby would be a part of his family for those two weeks. Brian has his family dogs, cats, chickens, etc. My first thought was there is no way he will keep Toby contained around all those animals. Good luck!! Brian sent me videos and updates every day. Where is Toby? This can't be the same dog! He had him responding to commands after the very first day. Picked him up two weeks later and Brian trained me in handling Toby. I can actually take him on walks without him pulling on the leash, walking in public places without him being distracted, and open my front door without him bolting! What a joy! Our family decided to get a German Shepherd puppy. After 6 months of him terrorizing me and my grandkids we knew we needed help. He didn't listen chases the kids and tormented the other dogs. if I could leave 0 stars I would!!! my wife was having an operation. I thought I would get my 14 week old puppy Dozer boarded and trained. 7 days. I picked Dozer up he had urine stained feet and legs. He was skin and bones. This was in Fort Worth. Jacob was his trainer. I talked with Justin a few times. He offered me 100.00 dollars to get the urine cleaned. He did offer to get another traine. I don't want my dog near them or any of their trainers. The worst experience I could have had besides after I read the review. someones dog died it was left in a garage in the texas heat. JUSTIN IS A LIAR!!!! I paid up front why would I complain if they did their job ??? I didn't add the yellow piss stains to the picture. I did edit. As we all know sometimes the pictures don't show as well unless you EDIT NOT USE A FILTER I ask You Justin if you didn't believe me send some one to look and see the horrible shape I got my puppy back in. He just called and yelled at me. It is really sad that you run your business like trash. Trainer Justin was awesome! But unfortunately I didn't have him as my trainer at first. I had a guy named Jordan. Jordan couldn't get my sheperd to work cooperatively with me and overshocked him to the point where when we came back for our next lesson he was scared to go inside. He also threatened to hit my dog in the face. After these 2 lessons from Jordan that were terrible we decided to ask for a different trainer. And we got Justin! Justin was a cool easy going guy. He figured out that all we had to do was incorporate a ball into the training because of my dogs high ball drive. Once Justin started working with me my dog did much better and I'm still using the things Justin taught me to this day. Would definitely recommend Justin! He even gave me free extra lessons and brought his own dogs to work with mine! Justin definitely made up for the mean, terrible training we got from Jordan. Thanks a lot Justin! read more

My gregarious 11 month plus old Bear (Golden Retriever) just finished his first 4 lessons with Brittney. Brittney was awesome training Bear and getting his busy mind under control. Yesterday on his last day we also, met Brandon and Andy (who helped out) and everyone was great. They explain everything and Brittney even had her 2 dogs help out with Bear's distraction with other dogs over a few lessons. I highly recommend them. I did the 4 lesson basic obedience and just signed up for their advanced course which is another 4 week course. Looking forward to learning more with my puppy. Don't be concerned with E-collars they are meant to get your dogs attention (they never hurt or shock them), and they teach how to use them properly. They make a huge difference instead of harnesses, gentle leaders, martingale's, and treat training. Our adorable, stubborn, little 8mo old Cairn Terrier, Frankie, had learned quite a few commands but basically became his own boss and decided that he would perform his commands whenever he felt like it. He was no longer motivated by food and getting him to come to you when called, just wasn't on his agenda. He would dart out the door and take off at every opportunity. It was frustrating to say the least. We'd already gone through a much cheaper "puppy training" but found it to be pretty pointless in the end, given his type of defiant personality. We struggled a bit with the idea of the pricing of the training at OLK9 but were at our wits end and decided to try the Basic Obedience Package. It's basically just 4 weeks of one on one, 1hr sessions with the trainer. That didn't really seem like it would be enough time but again, we were ready to try anything to get a handle on this wild pup. After lesson 1, we were SOLD. Wow. Brandon was so great with Frankie. He took the time to play with him a bit and get an idea of his personality before getting started and from that point, each building block just sat nicely on top of the next. The basic package includes specific items but if Brandon noticed anything additional that seemed problematic, he would work that out as well. It was a great experience and Frankie learning (and somehow loving) the "come" command has been a complete life-saver for us. One star is to much for these people. They didn't train my dog. They said he was to young to train but kept him 2 and half weeks. Then worst of all they told us one price but charged the card more than twice the amount. They are cheats and liars. I believe they saw an old couple and took advantage of them. The young girl that they set us up with to train the dog wasn't a knowledgeable trainer. She took our dog on shopping trips. When he came home he had two sores on his neck. Maybe from a shock collar or a dog bit. We are very unhappy and seeking legal help to recover the over charge to the credit card. read more

Danny trained our Husky Chase and we could not be more impressed. Prior to training Chase was a handful and would bolt out the door or gate including digging under our fence. He was difficult to take anywhere. In two weeks Chase became the perfect dog. It was important to us that our dog not be a robot and retain his personality. Chase routinely is out front with me off of any leash or line. He goes many places with me now including Pets Mart where even with those distractions he was by far the best behaved dog in the store. Chase layed in the floor next to me while I was talking with two employees. This training works very well and it will improve the quality of life for your dog. read more

We brought in our 1 year old black mouth cur who was difficult and very head strong. Walks were a chore and a work out. When people came over he had to be put in his crate in the back room so that he wouldn't jump on people and bother them when they were trying to eat. After only 4 lessons with Brandon, we have an amazing dog. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I am now able to walk my dog 4 miles without a leash in public, right next to other dogs, squirrels and other wild life and he stays by my side. When we are on the trail I can give him the break command and he gets to explore as we walk down the trail. As soon as some one comes along I just say heal, and he immediately comes running and stands next to me. Thanksgiving our dog had to be in his crate most of the day. We started training that next week. By Christmas we had 3 parties at our house with tons of people including kids and our dog was able to be involved and never spent a minute in his crate and was amazing the entire time. My kids can now play in the front yard and the dog can join them because we know he won't run off and if at any point we need him next us, as simple one word command and he is by our side with even the biggest distractions. I can't thank Brandon and Off Leash K9 enough. Worth every penny. There is a reason this company doesn't have less than a 5 star review. They love dogs and do a great job of training the owner on how to be a better owner. Brandon is a great trainer. My dog loved him and was excited to see him every day we went to training. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Brandon and the Off Leash program! Our 1 year old lab was out of control. She jumped on everyone and everything, pulled on the leash, tore up things around the house, tried to get attention by barking or biting, and injured multiple house guests from being too excited. We had tried the puppy basics classes at a pet store when she was a few months old and she picked up simple commands like "sit" and "stay" but only did them when she felt like it and if she wasn't distracted. But after one session with Brandon, it's like her brain was totally rewired! She was paying extra attention to us and was truly trying to do the right thing! After the 4 sessions of basic training, she will heel off leash even with distractions, she sits to greet people (no more jumping!), and is no longer seeking attention by misbehaving.
