Im new to the area and trying to find a place where I can take my dog on busy days for day camp as well as the occasional boarding for any travels that she can't go with me on. I found this place on yelp and decided to bring her by. My immediate impression when I pulled up was "turn around don't stop!" Why is that you ask? Because the outside looked abandoned with overgrown landscape. It didn't feel inviting, clean like a place I would want anything to do with. I contemplated leaving so I read reviews before making decision. Seems lots of people are appalled by the looks. Well I gave it a try. I walked in talked with staff and left her for the day. I don't have anything negative, the staff I interacted with seemed friendly. I wasn't given a tour of the place which is new to me as most places have given me a tour so I snot know what goes on behind the scenes but if it's anything like the front maybe that's why. However what I can see from cameras it's not so bad. Overall I will bring again but I recommend doing something with the front. Curb appeal is a thing if you aren't aware. read more

I have taken my Ella (Siberian Husky/Border Collie mix) several times and she has stayed over night. After Ella felt comfortable, she has settled in nicely at the facility. This review is on grooming our two standard poodles - they didn't stay for camp:) I appreciate several things about the grooming experience we had here: 1. staff who greeted us at the counter when we walked in was thoughtful, professional, and knowledgeable 2. The grammar as specific questions about the grooming which I could answer and clearly fully understood our request and handled our dogs with care. 3. I was excited about Camp Bow Wow when we found it, we had been taking our soda to another facility and like the video cameras. We had to go out of town for a memorial, every time I looked at the camera, I found our little dog, but I could never see our puppy (110# husky/catahoula/lab) in the big dog areas . There always seemed to be a lot of dogs in a little area. When we picked them up we were told not to come back, our puppy was exhibiting mounting behavior all the time ( not sure when - I never saw him) I think they kept him isolated all week, and he came home with an eye infection! I think this is an ideal place for little dogs but putting big dogs with a lot of energy in a 12x10 room all day is not good. read more

I was a little apprehensive about bringing my dog here for day camp as she hadn't really been socialized but we really wanted to make her more comfortable around other dogs. She's a people pet for sure. Everyone at Bow Wow was really understanding about our concerns. On our first visit, we had scheduled an "interview" so we dropped her off and we were able to watch her on their camp bow wow app. We came back at the end of the day and she said she loved it ( :) ) so we've been taking her back ever since. On Friday's you have to "reserve" them a day spot, but every other time you can pretty much just drop your pup off for a whole day or a half day. The prices are black and white and they are super communicative if you have any questions. I love that you can drop them off and request a wash. They'll wash your fur friend and you can pick them up at the end of the day nice and sparkly. They are all so nice there. They know my girl Charlotte by name and they are always excited to see her. The feeling is mutual. I'll keep bringing my girl here because it's so convenient, price is right, and most importantly she loves it! read more

Where to start. My family decided to use camp bow wow to board our dog for a 6 night stay while we took a family vacation. We had never boarded our dog before and had no other viable options other than boarding her. We entrusted them with the care of pet on the assurance that they would take great care of her. During our vacation, we routinely checked in with them to see how she was doing during our absence. Each time, they said she was doing fine. When we went to pick her up, we discovered she had been chewing her paw to the point where it was bleeding due to stress. Her whole paw was visibly bloody and at no point did anyone notify us this was occurring. Furthermore, when we took her to the vet for her paw, we also discovered she had kennel cough. Needless to say, we are thoroughly disappointed with the lack of care provided. To their credit, they did refund us for the entire stay however, I'd rather have had my dog return to us in the same healthy condition we dropped her off in. Be aware that they violated our trust and jeopardize the health and wellbeing of our pet. read more

Wow! Took my dog here for the interview day and play. They let you watch the webcams all day. They call and say your dog had a few timeouts for mounting. Ummm no.... I watched him practically all day and he just sat there and followed the lady around. Be honest it's because he has a little pit in him, that's why you don't want him there and you just can't say that. I plan to tell everyone I know how shitty your service is. Cara and Amy went above and beyond when we had a family emergency and had to leave at a moments notice. Even though they weren't officially open, they let us drop off our dog. Unfortunately our loved one ended up passing away and we were gone for almost a month. They took good of our fur baby and were kind letting us call and check on her quite often. We have since moved from Flower Mound, but we happily boarded our pup quite a few times there. read more

LOVE CAMP BOW WOW Cara and Amy are great people and happy to love on your pet! Our pup has been there so often that he whines when we pick him up. They have reasonable rates, do baths, nail trims, and have a great atmosphere. This is our favorite place to board our four legged family member. I have a couple two legged family members who want to get dropped off there, Finn has so much fun. Declined a 4 month puppy because she as drooling in a corner and shy (first interview visit understandable); however, they continue to decline her over this 2 years later after she has been going to the Coppell location for 2 years with no issues. I was told when I requested to reinterview today that they won't re-interview her now because I left a negative review after this incident because I did not feel that they handled the interview with her well or similar to other locations (we have been to locations in coppell, DFW airport and San Antonio with no issues). So I will continue to drive to Coppell instead as they appear to be more customer and dog focused and remember me and my first dog after 2 years when we temporarily switched to Flowermound after relocating. The manager (one of them, as the other is quite friendly) is rude and never remembered mine or my dogs name even after going here for a year once a week indicating they don't tally care about their client base. I was also informed when I inquired about franchising a location in the Northlake/Keller area that they own this area as well in case any additional ones pop up in the location. read more

I was disappointed when my dog was refused to be allowed to stay for a play day. This seems like a very well run, clean and great facility and both my dog and I were excited to visit and start a relationship with camp bow wow. Watching the video of him interacting with the other dogs he was certainly playful and he absolutely loves to try to entice other dogs to play. While doing so one of the trainers corrected him and my dog was very responsive and well behaved toward the trainer. Next thing I know I'm politely being told that he can't stay because their concerned for his safety and they gave me a card for a trainer. I was told he might be welcome back another time. I live 35 minutes away and chose them because it's close to work but this unexpected delay set my work day back about 1.5 hours. I suggest not taking them for the first time when you have other plans. (bad move on my part) Gunny is an 85lb Catahoula / lab mix who is very very well behaved even in group settings. Never once been aggressive even if other dogs get aggressive with him. He was just excited because it's been almost a year since he's been to a dog park / day care. The owner stated that she felt it was best for his safety and the safety of the other dogs but I didn't see anything to indicate an issue. In fact there was plenty of rough housing going on on the other cameras so frankly it just left me in shock. Like I said- great facility and owner / operators. I was just really shocked and disappointed at the decision that was made based on what I witnessed on the video. read more

My dogs and I hated this place. They were pacing and anxious the entire time, based on the cameras. The "play area" is overcrowded and poorly supervised. After 3 days of boarding, one of my dogs came home with an eye infection and a cough (dog is fully vaccinated) and the other had an injury to her paw. The blanket I left with them was returned to me covered in feces. The employees do not appear to know the difference between a collar meant for a 100lb dog, and one meant for a puppy, and managed to squeeze a puppy-sized collar on my big dog at the time of pick up. All of this, and the place is ridiculously overpriced, and demands an "interview" prior to boarding (and scheduling for the interview requires 6 weeks advance notice). I've owned dogs for over 30 years, and have boarded at several different places. I would never take my pups back here. There are many other better options for dog boarding in the area. read more

Ahhhhmazing! The staff is so friendly and remembers the name of all the dogs. You can tell they really care here. The owners Cara and Amy are wonderful too, I trust them with my girls Callie and Zoe any day! They have enrichment packages for the dogs as well, extra snuggle time etc. Adorable:) Pools during summer, I could go on. We've always been happy boarding Ralph at Camp Bow Wow. The facility is close, clean and everyone is very friendly and always remembers my dog by name. I think the theme days they do periodically are fun and a great way to get pet pictures. The best part may be that I can always check in on my dog via the web cam. Our 9yr old teacup yorkie (4.5 lbs) does not board well. She stayed for 4 nights at Camp Bow Wow where she received exceptional care. We could tell from the camera in her room that she had an accident on her bed. When we picked her up, the cover from her bed had been washed and she had been given a bath. I can only speak from my experience but I recommend the Flower Mound Camp Bow Wow. If the need arises, she will definitely stay here. read more

The business is very nice and friendly, but for Grooming, beware .....we brought in our 26lb Bernie in at 12:10 and she was done with the full groom before 1pm (45min) that is nice, but we have looked closer at the grooming and believe it was so fast we now see inconsistency on the cut lengths around the body surface all around her coat. We did bring her back because the legs were washed but not really groomed at all, maybe the shears were just not sharp or something. In addition: even though we were told $45-55 we were charged $65, so when you add tax and tip is was $77+ out the door. It is not like it took amy more time??? Also, I noticed today, even the FBwebsite shows grooming prices $30-50. Of course I expect a large dog to cost more, but when asked what is the difference is in a $65 and $45 groom when our dog is only 26lb... some excuses were made about "this being Flower Mound" it felt like they expected that I should be ok with higher prices? and also the fact that they do not use drying cages? I don't know what that is and never heard or seen anything like that before??? it just did not make sense to me. The other groomers we know blow dry by hand... So, get a FIRM quote first, and closely INSPECT your special friend. It is a beautiful place and nice business for play/boarding, but the grooming was not what you would expect. We love Camp Bow Wow Flower Mound and so does our dog. When we brought her in for her "interview" the staff was friendly and took time introducing her to new dogs in small numbers until she felt comfortable. Now, when we pull up for doggie day care (about twice a month) she races out of the car and is so excited to play all day. She comes home worn out and happy. We have boarded her a handful of times as well and she always seems happy to go as well. The cameras are great b/c we can watch from work or the app if we are out of town. Our kids love to find her and watch while she plays with her doggie friends. We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow. I love this place, but more importantly, our puppy loves it! We have a 10 month old French Bulldog, and he is so excited when he goes for both day care and occasional kenneling. When he comes home, he looks at us as if to say "when can I go back and play with my friends?". The owners are terrific. They know us, and our dog, by name. I'm on the fence about this place. My husband & I were going out of town for 1 night & wanted to check out the new boarding place in town. It's new & they have doggie cams so that's a plus. We spoke to one of the owners who suggested we bring our dogs in one day for a free "day pass" so we could see how they interacted with the other dogs. We did that & then they suggested that we bring them back again the next day because my 2 year old was a bit nervous around the other dogs. They said leaving them for the afternoon tomorrow would be a good idea to give them more exposure and also their dog whisperer who they compared to Caesar Milan was would be there & would help him get comfortable. A couple hours into their play date we got a call that Maxx is getting more nervous rather than more comfortable so they removed both our dogs from the outdoor play area & want us to come pick them up and they cannot watch them at all tomorrow! We are going out of town & have been told this with less than 24 hours notice. They did offer phone numbers for in home boarding. I appreciate that safety is first & they want to be through however this place has most of the pay areas not being used at all times. They should consider separating more nervous dogs from hyper dogs to make them more comfortable. Also we were not led to believe there was a possibility they were going to reject our pets but that the dog whisper was going to spend some time with him! We wasted a week touring this facility, talking to them, bringing our dogs back twice & are now left without care for our dogs tomorrow. read more

My dogs love Camp Bow Wow! I have never seen my dogs so excited to go and play with other dogs, let alone be boarded. We use to take them to another facility to be boarded/day play and their experience just wasn't the same. I love the fact that they have access to go a big yard to run and go potty and that we have access to watching them. Having then access to watch them via cameras is amazing and gives us peace knowing that they're okay! I highly recommend the Flower Mound location, their staff members are great! read more

A friend of mine told me about Camp Wow Bow in Flowermound and how impressed she was with it. I have to say she was 100% correct. Gracie, our 5 month old Golden Doodle, had her interview at Camp Bow Wow this week. I was extremely impressed with everyone working there and found the place to be extremely clean. and organized. I felt welcome the minute we walked in. In fact when I was there several other people walked in to leave their fur-babies at camp and everyone seemed to be happy and pleased. The owner even came out and introduced herself to me. When I picked Gracie up, which by the way she was there for over five hours, she was happy, clean, and excited to see me. I watched Gracie on my phone via the webcam at Camp Wow Bow most of the day. I could see an employee was in the room all the time with the dogs. The employee engaged play with the dogs off and on during the day and when one of the dogs went potty they cleaned it up right away. We have already made plans to bring Gracie back to Camp Bow Wow on Monday, and plan to have her go to Camp there in the future. read more

My boy, Kodi, is kind of an old man, and has never socialized outside of his own backyard. So when my neighbors raved about Camp Bow Wow,and we had some travel coming up, I thought we'd try. The folks are fantastic, both answering my questions on the phone and in person. We went for an interview and a trial play date. I loved how Kodi was slowly introduced to the space and then to some dogs. We stood in the lobby and watched his interest get peaked! The camp counselor stayed with him the entire time and another counselor stood with us in the lobby explaining what was happening. Very helpful folks. We took a tour of the space and were quite impressed with the cleanliness. Kodi stayed for a few hours. He had a ball, but also felt comfortable enough to take a nap! We then took him for an overnight and just wanted him to feel secure. He actually went through the door to the back area all by himself! This stubborn husky goes nowhere he doesn't want to! That speaks for itself. He spent a full week there while we traveled and I LOVED being able to check in via cam. They even dressed him as a pumpkin for Halloween! Wonderful folks, great spotless facility, and I breathe more easily knowing our old man is well cared for. I HIGHLY recommend Camp Bow Wow Flower Mound. read more
