I would highly recommend NOT purchasing at PetSmart unless you are 100% certain no harm can come to your pet by using whatever product you buy. Because if something happens, you can guarantee that they will never resolve the issue! In the summer of this year I bought bedding for my animals which was apparently carrying mites, causing illness. After emergency vet visit, medication for treatment, and a lot of time and efforts, I still lost one of my babies due to severe and sudden onset. I opened a complaint and then escalated that after he died. It has been almost 4 months since this all started. I was repeatedly promised I would be called back and the issue would be resolved. Since shortly after his death and sending in all of my papers on the issue, I have received NO communications. I call, and call, and call again and I never get anything back. They are essentially ignoring me and the trauma they have caused, most likely in the hope that I will go away. They obviously do not care about your pets, or about the grief and suffering the loss of one causes to their owners. This has gone on for months and I can't move on from his death, having to constantly revisit it! I have lost my baby boy because of my trust in the company. I will never get to see him again because I chose to buy from this company instead of my regular pet store, Petco. The employees Petco helped me out so much while he was sick and tried so hard to make sure I got all the items I needed as I tried to get him to recover. I hope nobody else who has purchased something from these people has to suffer through the loss of their companions! read more

This is our go to petsmart. Our furry friend frequently go to the doggie day camp at this location. She loves and recognizes all the staffs that works at the day camp and pets hotel. So we feel very safe and comfortable leaving her there for the day or longer if we are traveling. She gets her grooming done here. Nicole is the best groomer ever! She always asks and check if we still want the same cut, and always takes good care of our baby girl. Nicole always does great job grooming our furry friend and our furry friend always smells sooo good when we pick her up. read more

This review is strictly for the grooming salon. I actually enjoy shopping in the store and have always experienced great customer service and helpful staff. I took my dog in for a haircut/bath/nail trim and upon entering wasn't even greeted in a friendly way. One of the groomers (mid 30s, red hair) proceeded to tell me that my dog was only booked for a bath (no cut). I stated that yes, I was sure when I called earlier that day I had mentioned I needed his hair trimmed as well. She proceeded to give me a snotty attitude and said they could "fit him in" but the hair academy (aka students in training) would have to cut him. Normally this would have been my cue to LEAVE but unfortunately I needed his hair to be cut that day and had no choice. I gave her specifics about how I wanted his hair and she claimed she would be monitoring them and they would do a good job. All of this was said with an impatient snotty attitude. I come back about 4 hours later and when I walk in I can hear my dog (a small havapoo) is yelping for dear life from some tiny kennel in the back room. An attendant comes out with him and I notice they have completely shaved all the hair on his face off including all of his whiskers which are very sensitive on a dogs nose. She claimed it was HIS fault he was cut too short (and horribly uneven, might I add) because he was "too wiggly." His ears were also cut completely uneven and he seemed terrified of the handlers. Every groomer I have ever taken my dog to has praised him for how well behaved he is and how still he sits. Truthfully for the sake of length, I haven't even gone over everything that happened. However, Between the incredibly rude attitude of the woman working, the horrible hair cut, and her obvious annoyance in my direction about having to correct THEIR mistake, I will never get my dog groomed there again. I left my puppy Zoe there two days at the day camp. Both days I did not get a report for her food intake and potty. Both sections in the report were left blank. It did not instill confidence in their ability to manage younger(4month) first timers. To add to it, I noticed Zoe was desperately wanting to poop at 5pm right after I picked her up. i want to caution EVERYONE to NEVER use the petshotel in bellevue. my dog came out caked in dried shit, he smelled like pee, and he peed so much when he came out that it was like they hadn't taken him out all day. we picked them up at 5pm: the other dog we boarded had a open cut on his snout and they didn't give him one of his meals. they also forgot to give us our stuff, and they gave the person in front of us the wrong dog. so yeah, don't go there and don't trust them with your dogs lol. read more

I very occasionally take my dog here for day camp or a 1-2 night stay. Last week I had to go out of town for 5 nights and the dog sitter that usually comes to my house was unavailable. So I reluctantly took him to this PetSmart dog hotel for the week. When I picked him up on Sunday, he seemed to be in good spirits. But Sunday night, he slept by my bed and groaned all night as his stomach made loud gurgling noises. On Monday, he started throwing up and by Tuesday he started coughing. His cough worsened and by last night, he was coughing until he would gag. Early this morning, we visited our vet to learn that he has a horrible case of upper respiratory infection (kennel cough). Not only did I pay over $200 for him to stay there, I payed another $150 at the vet. And even worse, I have to watch my poor little baby cough until he makes him self sick and doesn't have the energy to go up the stairs. I will never take him back to PetSmart. EVER. UPDATE: I called PetSmart this morning to let them know that my dog has kennel cough - hoping that maybe it would alert them to disinfect - since it's HIGHLY contagious. The manager returned my call and was doing a very nice job of trying to assure me they are thorough in screening for vaccinations. I was feeling much better - until she started trying to determine where else my dog could have gotten sick, because she's certain it wasn't at PetSmart. Also, she said that since no one else had called this week with a sick dog, it doesn't seem likely he got it there. So, now I'm lying?? Since she was trying to blame it on something/somewhere else, maybe she's in denial that they need to disinfect? read more

We moved and wanted to try pet smart for the pet grooming. I was absolutely annoyed with how the differences were between one place then the other... one place told us that we can bring our dog back medicated and the other refused and so our dog had to be medicated for no reason. We have a Scottish terrier and they are temperamental when someone they don't know touches them especially when it come to grooming. This review is for the Pet hotel! They are absolutely AMAZING! Our 2 cats stayed there for a little over 3 weeks while we waited to close on our new house. When we got them back, their coats were very shiny and both cats looked very well taken care of. We've used them in the past before and will continue to use them when we go out of town. It's nice because you can call in and check on them, if they notice a problem, they are quick to inform you (One of the cats was too nervous to go #2 for a few days) While it was a little expensive (12/night x 2 ) It was totally worth it. read more

I moved recently from California and since my dog has Banfield Hospital pet plans I decided to go for Petsmart groomimg until I could find a comfortable independent groomer... Its hard to find since the good ones are always found through word of mouth and I didn't know many people here. Either way, We all know Christmas season = Terrible traffic heading to DT bellevue... Knowing this I left half and hour extra to get to my appointment on time. However, I ended up arriving 15 minutes late. I couldn't call them cause I was driving by myself with my pet. When I arrive at the parking lot I received a rude call lecturing me about how I made an appointment for a groom... It was a lecture and an unpleasant one. I then told her there was traffic and I just arrived at the lot... She rudely yelled at the phone and asked if they could still take my dog cause we were 20 mins late when the clock really only said 15. They said yes. Either way, I was really about to just tell them to forget it because I didn't want to leave my dog under hands that would call people and lecture them about making appointments and missing them so rudely. My dog came back to me with his head wet still from a bath and brush. Nevertheless, I am not stepping foot into this Petsmart grooming ever again. read more

This review is for the Groom Salon. In short DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE GROOMING SALON. They muzzled my dog with his own leash. I have a sweet, docile dog that never nips anyone not even if you pull his tail. Then left him at least 2 hours in a kennel before they started work on him. I took him home after I arrived at the time he was supposed to be done and he just got done with a bath. The groomer said she had a puppy in a kennel for 6 hours she had to do first!! With no food or water. Forget this place. Should be reported to ASPCA for animal cruelty. The other Petsmarts don't muzzle dogs. This groomer said it was their "policy". The grooming department really put us in a bind. I had heard that the schedulers were iffy, but I thought if I asked many questions, we would be alright. I was told that the dogs' vaccines had to be current, which they would be by the appointment. We get there for the appointment, and are told that the vaccines have to be 48 hours before the appointment. This was after having the worst experience with the young lady who scheduled to appointment. Never again, Petsmart. Thanks for being a total let down, and for making life with pets and young kids just that much more frustrating. read more

My dog runs around all day playing with other dogs, having a great time and by the time he's home- he's so pooped! I have taken my Goldendoodle, Luna, into Petsmart grooming salon twice. Once for a cut and once for a blow out, face and nail trim. Both times I had to take my dog to the vet within 2 days of the visit for a steroid shot and she had to go on antibiotics for 14 day. I will never take my dog here again to have her groomed. The staff was friendly but clearly they don't know what they are doing. I normally take her to the shop across the street and there are absolutely no issues. But, I was in a hurry and thought what are the chances of that happening twice. I have learned my lesson. The store itself is fine but right now I can't go in there. Took my daughter's boyfriend's dog here (pet hotel) while we were on vacation. Got her training as well. The dog that we picked up was not the same one we dropped off. I have an older dog who has some physical challenges and needed to find a groomer who would know how to work with those challenges. This was not easy. I went to many places to find the perfect person. I walked into PetSmart and met Nicole. I knew the minute she interacted with my dog, that she was the right person. She is amazing. She is not only a wonderful groomer, she loves animals and took such great care of my little one. Sadly I am moving away, but I wanted to let people know that if you are looking for a caring, loving, awesome groomer, go meet Nicole and you will not be disappointed. She is the best!! read more

my puppy used to go for daycare in bellevue location and recently we had the worst experience,while in day care she got a big cut in her inner thigh almost 1 inch(which required 7 external stitches and two weeks of cone),she was sent to banfield and we got a call,petsmart took care of the expense but no one knew how it happened ..... I would call it major negligence,i stopped sending her to day care there, but few days later,I thought of sending her for groomers,thinking it could be a one time thing and it was daycare,and while she was given me back no one said a thing and i saw a big cut again on my puppies foot............ Spoke to the manager they took me to the doc,but noone acted if this was their responsibility.....I am totally off Petsmart.... IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET.....DONT GO THERE. I am really happy with the grooming service at the Bellevue location. They only keep my malti-poo for up to a few hours which is good, she always comes out looking adorable and happy. DAY CAMP RESERVATION PROCESS REVIEW I'll start by saying that I've had great experiences at Petsmart when it comes to overnight boarding and daycamp for my mini golden-doodle. This review is about my recent reservation for daycamp. I was in a bind before work one day - my normal dog daycare provider had to close unexpectedly so I needed somewhere to put my dog while I was at work. I called the number for the Petshotel/Daycamp and waited for at least 10 mins until someone was able to help me. Finally, I spoke to a very nice woman who said there was room at the daycamp for the Bellevue Petsmart, the only location that I go to, and the number that I got from the site and have stored in my phone. I was surprised since it was the day before Memorial Day, but she confirmed back to me that yes, they did have room. I arrived 10 mins later to drop my dog off and the person that worked at the front desk had no record of my reservation or my call. She said that a call center answers those calls and makes reservations. But apparently, they were full, and had been full for days, so she couldn't believe someone had said there was room for my dog. I understand these things happen, but this is actually the 2nd time I've had an issue with my reservation. They were able to fit him in the first time so I let it go. I felt like I had to warn people after it happening a 2nd time. Buyer beware! read more

My little Chihuahua Khloe goes to Doggie Day Camp every Tuesday as a social event and to keep her familiar with the staff and the environment for the next vacation when she'll need to stay overnight. She is always well taken care of and excited to go see her friends. Even though she is so happy to see me when I pick her up I know she had a great time. read more

I took my dog here to get a sanitary cut and was appalled at what I saw. There were a ton of dead fish in the aquariums. There were dogs at the daycare that were obviously afraid and being ignored by the employee. Felt like a Walmart, but with high prices. On top of all that, the grooming job they did with my dog was horrible. They basically just shaved him instead of trimming. Nothing too special and nothing bad just very okay. We used this location to drop off our German Shepherd on short notice, I just don't feel comfortable leaving my furry kids with actual kids. We made a reservation earlier this month to board our cat for a thirteen night stay during the upcoming Christmas holiday. Completing the reservation over the phone, we were asked to confirm contact information and update our pet's vaccination records. We received a written confirmation (e-mail) of our reservation three days after the reservation was made. A week later we received a voice-mail message from the Petshotel asking us to call them. Our return call was unanswered. We left a phone number and request for a call back. Petsmart failed to return the call. When we called again the next day, the call was again unanswered and our call was not returned. On our third call this morning we reached an employee. We were told that the store would not honor our reservation because they had overbooked their services. The explanation we were provided is that their reservation system allows them to book services even if the services are not available. It seems unlikely but the lesson is a serious one: If your travel plans require pet care the reservation process at Petsmart is seriously flawed. By delaying notice of their error (or more likely booking of a more lucrative/longer staying customer) they jeopardized our plans. As it is we are now boarding our pet 30 miles from home because - apropos of the season - there is no room at the inn anywhere closer. read more

We have taken are dog here several times for the weekend. We come in from out of town and kennel her. During the day we always go to a park and take her with us and then bring her back. This way she gets time out with us and stays in the kennel at night. The last time we took her it was on a holiday weekend and they were booked. We went in on Saturday to take her out to the park with us for part of the day. We had reservations for three nights. They told us we could take her out but we would not get her back in because the waiting list would take her spot. I said what if I pay up front for all three nights. She said we have no control over it because we have a call center now. We were very disappointed since she would be locked up for two days.Their day camp was full and they did not have space for her to at least do that. Apparently their software program does not allow the people at the store the ability to do this. read more

Oooh I like this Petsmart location! So clean and nice - I took my baby to get a bath in their grooming department then wandered around looking for new treats & dog food. I love their doggie hotel! There are big glass windows so you can watch as the Petsmart worker throws toys for them to run after. I would definitely consider having my dog stay here if I ever have to leave her with someone. The grooming girls did a great job and they were very nice and sweet to my lil Yorkie. I will DEFINITELY be coming back! read more

This Petsmart is a pretty good store. I've been to other Petsmarts and Petcos before and some of them can be kind of dingy and dirty, but this store is usually very clean. They also have a good selection of products too. We've used their doggie day camp and daycare services quite a few times now and they seem to be really good. My only gripe is that day camp seems to fill up pretty quickly and things can get pretty backed up during peak drop off and pick up times. But the dogs are always supervised during their play time and the people there really seem to care. Plus the price is very reasonable. The Banfield vet clinic in this store is also very nice. We've seen Dr. French a couple of times and she really seems to care. And the pet nurse, Lauren, was absolutely great! The front desk staff was also very good and handled all the questions I bombarded them with very well. We'll definitely continue to take our dog there! read more

This Review is for Training Only, If your dog is easy going and both of you need to learn and bond together Pet Smart training classes are a good and affordable solution. I've taken my dog there for a month and she learned a lot. There is usually only a small number of puppies per class which makes the training very enjoyable and allow the trainer to always take time to discuss specific issues of your Puppy. I have no doubt Pet Smart Training will allow my to take my dog through K9 good citizen certification at an unbeatable cost. read more

On the last two occasions I went there I had three different brands of canned of dog food ring up at the register for significantly more that they were priced on the shelves. I'm done with PetScam and will shop elsewhere in future. read more

This review is for the aquatics department - the fish here are in terrible conditions. Nearly 30 out of the 45 beautiful bettas at this store I saw today were belly-up or dead at the bottom. Swimming in their poop and not looking like they have been fed for days :( Keeping bettas in these ridiculous bowls is small enough, and taking such pathetic care of them is just the worst form of abuse. Bettas are only sold in bowls, but should atleast be kept in 2.5 gallons or more as a reasonable minimum. Right below the Betta they are selling 0.25 gallon bowls as recommendation for betta homes - A QUARTER GALLON! That's basically a bottle of water - Petco atleast only carries products this size marketed as temporary holding habitats!!! Many of the larger tanks have dead/dying fish too. Please, please, resist the temptation to buy fish here and even to save the bettas - giving them business is just propagating this abuse. I went in to buy atleast 300$ of supplies for a large new tank I am planning to setup but never again. Petco in Redmond/Kirkland or Aquarium Coop are far better choices. read more

First, I never use groomers. Sorry. My dog is skiddish, nervous and needs pedicures like every other dog. I use the Banfield vets. $19 for non-wellness plan customers, $13 for wellness plan customers. So that's all I have to say about the 1-star people who used the groomers. That said - OMG. Private Lessons are the best. The doggie daycamp, we consistently see repeat customers, same friends for our pup daily. The Pet Hotel is always booked with repeats that we see coming in and these really look like happy-to-be-there dogs. The sales associates apply coupons we didn't even know were available. When they were out of Whimzzies, one os the associates made sure to point out to us they were back in stock, I couldn't believe she even remembered we were some of the folks wanting them. Banfield Vet is unique from the other Banfields as far as I'm concerned. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND. These guys are amazing. Listen, not only will I happily pay gobtons of money for my animals (dog, cat and fish - all resuces so you can imagine the medical and training costs there)... (fish training, hhehehe) - but I highly highly highly recommend THIS SPECIFIC PetSmart to anyone (again, I don't use grooming, so.. not talking about that. Pedicures available with Banfield anyhow) - and I will NOT take my pets to any other veterinarian unless needing emergency hospital outside of Banfield hours. I stand by that. read more
