If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible experience with pets mart groomers. Enter groomers and greeted (barely) by a groomer working on another pup. Very unfriendly and sees to be annoyed. Trims first dogs nails then our second dogs nails. We step out and hear him cry out (we think it's just him being scared but now we know it's because he was injured!) Later that night we realize just how short our dogs nails are. Blood is everywhere, the carpet, bed ...everywhere. The quick has been cut. My poor pup. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO BE GROOMED HERE. Horrible. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

It's all about the individual groomer. I'd suggest asking questions about experience with the groomer you will be using as I have had an unpleasant experience. I made my appointment with Ariana but another groomer took Sophie . It was not good and I had to bring her back in. Ariana fixed the haircut, and I was happy. I will only buy my bettas at this location. They seem to live longer and healthier. I know their water is changed every couple of days and the "handlers" of the small pet and fish/bird section are very knowledgeable and helpful. As far as the Salon goes DON'T DO IT- Yes some people had good experiences but I actually worked here, The groomers (not every one) are rough with the dogs and cats. Often yelling at them and jerking on their collars. And the back or kennel area is cramped and stinky with tiny steel cages for the dogs to wait in. They have floor mats and water, but it doesn't look comfy especially the drying technique they use with the hose dryers that attach to the cage and blow on the dogs. I no longer work here for about a year and there are no hard feelings I am not writing a bad review to get back at anyone. I am just trying to be honest. The Store Itself: +The Staff is SUPER friendly, they greet you and your pup when you walk in and when you leave. and they make sure to give your dog the attention it wants :) +The store is always really clean and they have several clean up-stations in case your dog has an accident. +They organize their dog food from low quality (near banfield) to high quality (the last row of food to the front). +Big selection of everything you need for your dog, from dog shampoos to dog treats. -In their prescription dog food they don't have the small bag in the formula my dog needs so I have to go to another store (no way I am buying a 32lb bag for a Pomeranian lol) Banfield: +The vet's here are great. My dog is actually happy to see them! +When you need a surgery outside of their facilities they will help you save the most money you can +I recommend getting their wellness plan. It's not too expensive and you get free visits if you're worried about your dog (in less then a year I have saved over $1000 with the plan) Pet Training: +I have taken the puppy training and intermediate training. My dog loves it, and it has helped her become more behaved. The trainer is really nice and will help you with any questions you have. Doggy Day Camp: +for $20 you can leave your dog all day to play around with other dogs. +They have days for small dogs and big dogs. It's really great if you have shy dogs, this helps them break out of their shell. +Because of doggy day cam my dog is so excited when she sees we are in Petsmart, she tries to rush to the doggy day cam area! read more

This review is for an experience I had tonight and one two years ago. Two years ago- we brought our dog here because the PetSmart Hotel we usually went to was full. We told them our dog was recovering from giardia and asked if it was okay if we booked her in, we had her meds ready. The girl on the phone said its not a problem. We drove to Bellevue to drop our dog off and we left town for the weekend. 100 plus miles away from home, these guys called us and told us to pick up our dog because they saw that the medicine we gave them was for giardia. We explained that we were told it was okay and they agreed to put her in isolation. However, when we picked her up, she reeked of feces and the staff did a half assed job of rinsing her off. We drove 16 miles dealing with the smell of poop and wet dog. Today's experience was almost as bad, and definitely not surprising. This time we were picking up a friends dog. Their dog smelled like pee and he could not wait to leave. It was so sad. If I had known ahead of time anyone was considering this place for boarding, I would have begged them to stay away. read more

I will never take my cat to this groomer again. I really liked Kat, the salon manager and cat groomer. I found her to be charming and personable. However, despite her positive attitude, I cannot recommend her for cat grooming. My cat is very loveable, and I have been having him groomed regularly at a Petsmart in Arizona for five years now. As a former pet groomer myself, I know that mistakes that can happen. But my kitty was returned to me with tuffs of fur missing from his shoulder, and a bit from his head. She also told me he had been great for the dryer, however he was still very wet on his legs and belly. Where his fur is missing you can see skin. It is very tender, and it makes him uncomfortable to touch it. His fur is also greasier than when I dropped him off, and he's been in a strange daze since he came home. He has never acted like this before, and we completed a cross country move a month ago! I am very angry and frustrated and disappointed in my experience. I will no longer be utilizing Petsmart grooming services due to this incident and will be taking him elsewhere for his baths. I have never been this excited to write a review on Yelp. I had recently bought my hamster here, and the worker Renee was VERY informative of the hamsters and was very helpful! Prior to coming to this pet store I had gone to a handful of other stores looking for hamsters. The other stores were not helpful at all, and this PetSmart always had a good number of hamsters. Soon after I bought my hamster, I had some concerns with my hamster. Being stressed worried about my new baby I had come to the store a couple times.Today I dropped in to pick up a couple things and Renee was there!:) she was SO SWEET and gave me SO MUCH information and advice. She was SO PATIENT and answered my questions and listened to my concerns. I felt so relieved after talking to her! It's been a while that I've had AMAZING customer service like that. Since I moved to Bellevue 3 weeks ago, I've used the doggie day-camp (daycare) at Petsmart twice a week . My pupster and I love it!! She drags me to the Petshotel door right when we get into the store and is usually making her way around the counter before I even get her checked in. I was a little concerned at first because the daycare I used in Milwaukee was much larger (space-wise) and also had an outside play area for when the weather permitted. HOWEVER she loves this daycare too and is exhausted when she gets home. Priceless. The day-camp price is VERY reasonable, another local daycare place I checked out costs almost twice as much and seemed a bit shady with sheets covering the dog play areas. Petsmart is definitely the way to go! BONUS! They give you a little report when you pick up your pooch. Let's you know how they did during the day; break times, playing with others; eating the food you brought (if applicable) ,etc etc . I love reading who my baby was playing with that day. read more

It's a good sign that whenever we return to petshotel they have no hesitation and are eager to go back inside. Reservations are easy to make on the phone. People who work with animals tend to be very caring... However there is this one very unpleasant lady at the Petsmart pet hotel. This person makes the whole experience a drag, no smile welcome, everything extremely basic and not helpful at all. I truly feel sad when i leave my dog here. Other than that- the dog had to stay in a small "quarantine" area because he is not neutered, and he is just a pup. Play time is additional fee, and it really feels very impersonal and cold. I've tried it twice so far and they seem to do well. they're with them in the room the entire time and give you a little report card when you pick them up. I was pleased that when they first put them into the group they corrected a potential situation quickly - a medium sized pup put his sights on my smallest one and commenced the circle hump a couple times. mind you she can stand up for herself and said no with teeth, but the girls there quickly separated them and moved the bigger boy to a different room. when I asked about it they said he was too large to be doing that. so that worked for me. I want to share my horrible experience when picking up my two dogs at the bellevue, wa location. I have a Maltese and a Maltese/Shitzu and when i picked them up my white Maltese was ALL covered in pee meaning she was yellow and my other dog was smelling really bad. They have stayed there multiple times and for the amount of money i paid that is NOT the type of service that i expected. I like PetSmart, if you need pet supplies, they've got them! If you have a new pet, you can find everything you need to get started. This is not a boutique pet store, but they do carry some higher end items. I really like the Martha Stewart line they started carrying, totally cute stuff. I wanted to get some mini tennis balls for my mini girl and this store had extra small Martha Stewart tennis balls in pink, adorable! The pet beds that I found were not of the same quality of what I found at some of the boutique stores, but what they had was okay. I have been all over town in search of the perfect one, still searching! This store carries the prescription food that my dog requires so I do not have to purchase it from my vet. The price is better than what I found at my vet's office, which is handy, since PetSmart is a few blocks from my apartment. I took my old cranky dog to the groomers to have his nails trimmed regularly. They were great with him and they were not afraid of him, so it made it easier. They do require for your pet's vaccines to be current, so when he was on his last few months, I had to take him to his vet for nail trims. He bit the vet a few times, which he never tried at PetSmart. I will continue to shop at PetSmart, even though they do not carry some of the specialty items I like to purchase. I always get my dog groomed at this location and I have to say that the grooming is 100 stars!!! My dog is always happy as a clam when she goes there, as well as after I pick her up. They do a superb job at grooming, all the aspects-nails, teeth, hair, cleanliness, and treating the butt glands ;) my groomer is Ally and is is absolutely wonderful and a gem to work with! She's always helpful, informational when I have questions, and treats my dog like a princess. I really love the quality and care I get here. It is the more affordable option when compared to some of the boutique pet boarding options. I was pleased to be able to set up different services for different days, as Rhys can be quite particular. The staff were honest, and I could tell they handled animals with care and consideration. I left my dog boarding for the first time in five years. He has never been away from me... When i left him he was nervous and shaking. The day i pick him up he was having so much fun, he came to kiss me and then he wanted to stay to keep playing with his new friends! Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. She is the only reason for the extra star. I went in today and a girl by the name of Randi was working the register. Very unfriendly and didn't seem happy about being at work. She didn't even say hello or ask me how I was doing. It's located a block away so I come here regularly for my dogs' nail trims and sometimes treats (though I'm not supposed to buy them since they get a Barkbox). I usually get a $3 coupon for taking a survey (gets generated when paying for spa services) so the nail trim ends up being a great deal for one dog and an average deal for the other dog. They generally do a greajob even though one of my dogs is really not a fan of nail trims, and I've never had an issue with walking in without an appointment. I wish they carried a larger selection of dog harnesses and treat pouches. There's a great selection of dog food, treats and toys and lots of seasonal items. It's right next to H Mart and in the same parking lot as Tully's - very convenient! read more

My dog was quite ill within 24 hours of spending day at Doggie Day Camp in Bellevue WA on 7/29/21. He had vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours and is still lethargic. I take my maltipoo here for grooming every other month or so and they do a good job. Here's a list of high marks: - available appointment slots - attention to detail - location - cleanliness - friendly service They always seem to have available time slots when I call them and most of the time I call them for same day service. They have teeth cleaning, nail grinding and ear plucking in one package. I give my pet the "deluxe" package which comes with everything mentioned plus bath & haircut and the total comes out to $65. Pretty fair since I've paid more with other groomers. I also want to mention my pet's groomer, Courtney because she's really awesome. I became a regular here since I met her. Kudos, Courtney and thank you! One last tip-- greenies are the cheapest here. I shop at Mud Bay for food but Pet Smart sells greenies for 65 cents compared to $1 elsewhere. read more

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE TO BE GROOMED. I took my 11year old golden retriever to get a basic grooming package (bath, hair trim, ears cleaned, and nails clipped). My dog has been going to PetSmart since he was a puppy and has never had any issues, until this appointment. When we got him home we noticed his paw was bleeding severely from the nail. Blood everywhere! We found that his nail had been cut so short and was extremely sensitive to the touch. Once we took a closer examination of the work they had done we found other nails to be rigid and cut uneven or again, close to the nail bed. In addition, we found his hair cut to be patchy with one leg trimmed and the other close to the long length it was prior to the grooming appointment. In all 11 years, this has never happened. However, to see the amount of blood coming from his paw and the pain he is in merited a review for this location. I will not be taking him back. read more

I had been searching all over for a cat groomer. The ones I found charged outrageous amounts and any other petsmart or petco only grooms cats on Tuesday and Thursday mornings only! It made shaving my cat really difficult. This is the only petsmart that have full availability for cats. I even got a late appointment which was great! Also my cat can be very difficult to work with. But apparently the groomer said she didn't give her any trouble at all! I loved her work too! They even gave her a cute bow when she was done. Will absolutely be back! read more

Specific to PetsHotel (though the store itself is great too): Our Shiba Inu pup has been coming here since he was six months old or so (now nearly a year) and we've had such a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and always so thrilled to see him! He loves his stays there and always comes home worn out (a blessing for any puppy owner) and super happy. We even boarded him for 2+ weeks for our wedding and honeymoon. If we were worried he missed us, we shouldn't have been :) We used to take him to a much more expensive daycare in Seattle as well (my husband works in Seattle and I work in Bellevue). The staff was extremely rude and clearly didn't engage him because he slept in a corner all day (they have cameras). Once they called him out for what was perfectly safe, normal puppy play, we stopped going there altogether. This other daycare also only had a small and large dog room, while Petsmart has several. Shibas are true medium-sized dogs, so fitting them into one of two size buckets isn't very effective. I highly, highly recommend the Bellevue PetsHotel if you want a happy, well-socialized pup. Day Camp (all day play) is very popular, so be sure to book well in advance. read more

I am normally a Petco girl because in my hometown we don't really have petsmart. But this one is in a good, easily accessible location and I have always found what I needed. In the kitty adoption center, they also let you go inside the room and play with all the kittens. And they don't pressure you to buy one, which I really appreciated. I have used their PetsHotel as well and was very satisfied with the cost and how they treated my two twin cats. They also sell hypoallergenic food for cats and dogs!! This is a huge deal for anyone who has had to go to their vet just to purchase food. Huge Plus! read more

For the love of the Universe, please do not shop here and certainly do not board your pets hear. If I could give a zero, I would. First of all, I boarded my dog twice in Memphis, TN when I lived there and I assumed that things would be the same, but oh was I wrong. The one in Memphis was friendly and my dog loved it 100 percent. We never had any issues. However, at the one in Bellevue, it was absolutely ridiculous. The one in Memphis never charged us for squirting two squirts of Salmon oil onto my dogs food, which we provided. It IS NOT medication, yet the Bellevue location charged it as medication dispensing, which was absolutely unacceptable. They took the charges off, but I was unimpressed. Also the staff was less than stellar. We also had him groomed the same time while we were away on vacation. He came back with a skin infection that developed quickly due to improper sanitation procedures according to the veterinarian. Also the groomer gave him a severe burn from the razor and he wound up developing blisters and scabbing. I will NEVER, EVER take my dog back and I recommend that you don't either. The most horrible experience of my life. Petsmart, you are officially off the list. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, especially for grooming or boarding! read more

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE! They have seriously gone downhill! I used to take my four dogs here to get groomed and over the past year, I have only had terrible experiences. Whenever they go in for haircuts, at least one comes back with a scab/is bleeding of some sort. The groomers are not skilled at all and do not care about the animal at all! After giving up the grooming all together, I thought I would just try a simple nail grind on 2 of my dogs...big mistake! I noticed a few people rushing over towards my one dog with cotton balls while another was still trying to grind his nails. I was only told once I asked-"that he had gotten a bloody nose but that happens quite often". Ummm in my 10 years of owning my dog, that has never happened and you think you would want to tell the owner??? Next I took in my other dog for nails but was told that he had been "banned" from the grooming salon with no further explanation. When I asked to speak with the manager she had told me that he bit one of the workers and now he cannot come back. When you are working with animals, have completely untrained and incompetent staff...what do you expect?! read more

This place is really the best. I have serious anxiety over taking my dog to the groomers because of an incident that happened when she was a puppy (at Petco, not PetSmart) so I'm always really nervous when I drop her off. Everyone here is so friendly and each time I've gotten her back they make me feel like she was a perfect guest (even though I can hear her barking before I even walk into the store sometimes...) I just took her tonight and they sent me a picture halfway through her bath and sent her home with a cute bandana.
