Dropped by here for a quick breakfast. Ordered a regular latte and croissant. I liked my croissant cuz it was crunchy flaky croissant and the latte is nicely balanced. There's not much seats so make sure to snag asap when free. I think most customers do takeout.

I am rating Petite Thuet based on their macarons... so this maybe a little bias. The choice here is not many as other bakery I went to but gee I still have problem decide which one to get! Life will be so easy if I can just tell the nice gentleman behind the counter to just give me one each.(not only it is not good for my wallet, not good for my health and if I ate those all in one shot I will definitely drive my food crawl buddy crazy!) Pumpkin which is the seasonal flavour has this rich pumpkin taste. Hazelnut is good too... just have a hint of sweetness but with great nutty flavour. BTW, they are not as sweet as a lot of the other places I have. I found that is much better since the flavour will be more intense then just sweet sweet sweet. The size is a little smaller but they are at $1.95 a pop! Also one of the cheaper macarons I have. Petite Thuet also sell jar of French soups, packaged cold cuts and duck confit where you can buy and reheat or cook in your own kitchen and impress your friends and guests!

The bread is very good, but very expensive. Also a nice assortment of gourmet goodies -- but again, very expensive, so I don't bother. It appears that the macarons are controversial here; I tried them -- they're great, and there's nothing wrong with their size; but again, expensive. The service can be really hit or miss; sometimes efficient and friendly, sometimes slow and/or brusque.

Macarons, $1.95 CAD each. Flavours shown: strawberries & cream, tiramisu, pistachio, lemon.

The guy behind the counter was super friendly. Dare I say flirty? Hopefully so, since I was flirting. And it's an embarrassment when you are flirting alone. Ahem! Errr....awkward situation aside.... Petite Thuet is not bad, but it's not perfect either. I give it a wholehearted "meh". I purchased four macarons at $1.95 each in pistachio, strawberries & cream, lemon, and coffee. No wait, hazelnut. Caramel? Well it's brown coloured....something? Yeah, dude had no idea what the brown was. It tasted like Tiramisu, so I'll stick with that. The lemon was crusted with yellow sugar, which was totally uncalled for. A macaron is sweet enough! And one out of the four macarons wasn't too fresh. A-okay, but I won't be making a trip back anytime soon. Not even for the dude's phone number.

    hazelnut cake!!

Macarons were just okay for how teeny and expensive the were. One flavor was just NASTY. Candy apple? What in the world!? It tasted like feet. The service was odd. I called a few days in advance to order a couple dozen macarons and I got the man I spoke with's name. I came in the day we discussed to get the macarons and he had no recollection of our phone call. Luckily the macarons were in stock. Though the macarons, seating area, and service let me down their hazelnut cake was SO yummy. A perfect dessert in both flavor and texture.

Warning, This Review is strongly biased. A four star only based on 1 coffee 1 donut. I was picking up croissants across the street and I saw this. The name looks so familiar so I just cross the street "unconsciously". ( See the trick to cut the weekend spending? is you just don't look around!) Later I found out it was the same store on King, with more bakery. Almond Croissant looks as tempting as the one i had in my bag. I told the gentleman behind the counter that I had a croissant already and ask him if he could recommend something else (meanwhile my hand already reaching to the bag of Madeleine cake on the counter.) He suggest the donut like thing in the plate. it says it is so much more than just a fried donut. So i got that one. How I am gonna describe that thing. It is just GOOD. Not too sweet, a little bit chewy, in a good way. With coffee, it is like a plain and comfortable kind of tasty. Good way to start a Sunday, a little bit pricy way as well ( $3 for the donut) I am looking forward to try the jam and ketchup and the duck confit next time.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
