The cupcakes tasted amazing, too! The cake part wasn't super-moist, so it held its shape and tasted great, but the frosting was the real star. The frosting on the lemon cupcake was intensely lemony, and the chocolate frosting was rich and smooth. I and the other non-vegans at the party couldn't tell that they were vegan, and our host was delighted to know that there is a bakery nearby that caters to her needs. The ganache was shiny and rich, the raspberries on top were perfectly fresh, and when we cut into it, I was blown away by all the layers (the more layers, the more frosting!). I didn't tell any of my friends at first that the cake was gluten-free, and all they had to say was how rich, chocolatey, and moist the layers were. They could not believe it when I told them!
