Fresh oysters
Cheri G.

Some of the freshest oysters. Schuked fresh to order. Great stop on a Friday night when you come to see the free fireworks on the warm nyc summer nights .

a hot dog stand

Old school comfort food stand located on the corner across from the Coney Island subway station. This is a spot to get all your fried food and treats in one spot. Fried clams, funnel cake, fried shrimp, grilled meat on a stick, soda, beer, corn dogs, hot dogs, pizza, corn on the cob, knishes, wings, French fries, etc. Small room with some tables to sit at if the normal area weirdos haven't commanded them. Some picnic tables on the outside with umbrellas. Cheap overall and they take credit cards. You don't come here to eat healthy!

Perfectly shucked, perfectly fresh, briny oysters on the half shell at Pete's Clam Stop. Perfection!

After spending the morning at the Blessing of the Rides at Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, I was hungry, and being in Coney Island, I wanted seafood, Oysters on the half shell, specifically. I've clams at Pete's before and they were always fresh and expertly shucked. Their oysters were even better. The woman shucking them not only knew what she was doing, but threw away at least four oysters that didn't meet her standards. The six she served up for me were stunning. They were huge, meaty, absolutely fresh and perfectly shucked. I didn't even need to loosen anything up, they were ready for slurping. Absolute perfection and absolutely worth the $14!

Fried calamari and fried clams. Not good.

Honestly, i was kinda let down by petes. i have passed by this place many of times, but finally grew some strength to stop by on 4th of july. fried clams were over priced and not much clam meat. the fried calamari was barely to little cooked. very rubbery. i too felt it was over priced. beer was good--great prices and sizes. i loved being able to sit at the bar and enjoy the crowd and the food came out quick.

Really cute place-- typical boardwalk food. The clam strips are obviously very good and worth it

Chicken Kebobs are amazing! They have this tangy sauce on top of them which is perfect! Great quality chicken too! Pete's has all your favorite boardwalk bites & they are open late till 11.

Best/favorite spot in the area for fresh oysters Pete is the best ! I always come here before I relax on the beach and before I go home. :)

I've been stopping in here when in Coney Island since 1991. Man. I'm getting old. Still the freshest, most briny and cheapest clams on the half shell in the area. Coupled with an ice cold Stella on tap and you are in Coney Island Heaven.

Was there last week. Oysters was not clean. Guy who opened them did not washed them and some sand hits inside because he put them in two layers. 6 oysters =$9 12oysters=$18 One Large beer=$9 Not the best experience. Never be back there.

We got the lobster AYCE for $125pp and they had so much variety and everything was made fresh to order. The portion sizes were generous and the quality of the seafood was great. I love the flavors of everything we got. The service was also amazing! So quick and efficient. My faves: - Fried Sea Bass w. Sweet Chili Sauce - Old Bay Shrimp - Pan Seared Fresh Jumbo Scallop - Shrimp w. Cajun Butter Sauce

Food: This restaurant offers an AYCE seafood meal for $90 per person (or $120 per person for…read moreunlimited lobster and lobster mac and cheese). The AYCE menu includes a variety of items including appetizers (broccoli, calamari, corn, iron steak, crab rangoon, clam chowder, fried rice, garlic noodles, chicken wings, spareribs, general Tso's chicken, spring rolls, edamame, french fries, and more) and main seafood entrees (steamed or hand breaded shrimp, blue crab, dungeness crab, snow crab legs, crawfish, salmon, seabass, mussels, steamed clams, raw oysters and clams, and more). The items I would recommend the most are iron steak, crab rangoon, blue crab, snow crab legs, and crawfish. The seafood is fresh, and if you love seafood, this AYCE meal is a good value for the variety and amount you get. There is no limit to how much you can order at a time; you can order as many rounds as you'd like. Service: Service is excellent here; staff are friendly and very attentive. They come to check on you throughout the meal and clear empty dishes. Food comes out very quickly after you place an order. The staff are also nice about giving you another menu to place another order. They are generous with their portions and food unlike other AYCE places that seem to not want you to order as much. Ambiance: The restaurant is big and spacious; seating is comfortable. There are tables and booths that can accommodate both small and large groups. The restaurant is kept clean, and the decor is very nice. During the warmer months, there's outdoor seating in Mongolian-style tents on the patio that overlooks Surf Avenue and Luna Park. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like seafood!

It is rare these days to walk into a restaurant and feel like people are actually happy to see you, but that is exactly the feeling here. Our waiter Dennis was fantastic, and everyone who served us was incredibly friendly, generous, and attentive. The service felt sincere and personal. The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The vibe of the place is incredible. It reminds you of the old days when dining out meant true hospitality and people who really cared about their guests. Even after we left and went home we kept talking about what a wonderful evening it was. That feeling stayed with us. You can clearly see that Elias truly cares that every guest feels welcome and comfortable. He treats people with genuine attention and kindness and that makes the whole place feel special. A truly memorable experience and we will definitely be coming back.

Dennis took our order to make a kiddie pasta - plain and simple - penne with butter - but was cooked to perfection. Their Cheese Pizza was a revelation and now, we have a challenge to travel all the way to Coney Island to get try this masterpiece! Food overall was excellent, and the location is great too. The family that run this place were really sweet and gave our little one ice-cream after being rejected by his dad ;-) Will visit Coney Island again, will be here again to try out some more Pizza's and Pasta's!
