Good vibes, nice view, great service and reasonable price but the food was not as good as what we expected. We were a party of 2 adults and 1 toddler and ordered three appetizers and one entree, 3 cocktails and 1 slush to share. One cocktail came as free, since the bartender used the wrong base at the beginning and made the correct one for us, so only 2 cocktails were charged. Fried calamari was overcooked, baked clams were alright but snow crabs in crab pot weren't fresh enough, king crabs were good though, lobster Mac n cheese was the best among all dishes and cost less than $20, but a bit salty. Final bill came out $130ish before tip, way below what we expected, surprisingly low for a seafood restaurant. Overall experience was 7/10. Normally I would rate it three stars but given I got the free drink, I added one more. Would give it another try if I am there. read more

(It's Summer in NYC... expeditions to C.I and Petes are a must) This is a typical Brooklyn, old school way of having clams at Coney Island... if you grew up in NYC, this is nostalgia at its best. Highlights: Prices - you get what you get at a good deal. Nothing better than having a plate of clams at a affordable prices with the breeze of the beach nearby and the taste of sand. Clams - cherrystones clams lined up... wedges of lime, some hot sauce and away you go. It's perfection for a NYC person. Lowlights: The beer is on the pricey sad... that's where they get yah. But it's worth it. You try having some clams without a good brewski. The staff is awesome and this is a must stop for many years when you come into CI for Summer fun. read more

Surrounded by grimy warehouses, mechanic shops and other industrial endeavors, Twist seafood is a fantastic restaurant that I believe everyone who lives in 40 block radius should be frequenting. Although initially I came here for the happy hour oysters, I'm so glad that I stayed for more. I situated myself at the bar and asked for a dozen oysters. These oysters were fresh but a bit on the smaller side. I do wish more thought and finesse went in to the oysters like a nicer sauce selection. They should definitely take notes from the oysters happy hour at Siren. Perhaps it was my enthusiasm slurping them away that made the kind lady shucking them ask me if I would like a dozen more? Hell yeah is the only appropriate response to such thoughtful questions. I washed down the oysters with a crisp glass of Allagash and in that moment decided why not order an entree too? I'm so happy I went with the New Zealand mussels prepared in their house special spicy butter sauce because Oh. My. God.... First of all, I have never seen a mussel this meat and gooey and fat and delicious. A literal shell fish lover's dream??? The sauce was decadent and spicy and aromatic and all the things a seafood boil sauce should be. The potatoes were steamed perfectly. The corn? Delicious and sweet and my only wish was that there was more of it. The garlic bread soaked up all the juices beautifully. Honestly even though I went in here searching for oysters I believe the real star of the show is obviously the seafood boil entrees... and also very reasonably priced. As I write about this my mouth is watering and I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on these mussels again. Please go here, you will not regret it!!
