    Just Yummy!

Peter's Luncheonette has been my second home for six years now. As soon as you walk through the door, the caring friendly staff and owners, immediately welcomes everyone by their names and everybody is treated with kindness and respect. You are invited freely to sit at any available table, however, this place is so loved my locals and folks from all over world so it gets packed! The food is out of this world! The Chefs take time and dedication to cooking our foods with special attention to details. You have amazing mouth watering choices from their fancy food board, every single day to the homemade soups , so comforting for the cold weather in our bones. Please don't forget to order desserts too! I can't get enough of those delicious cakes made at The one and only Peter's luncheonette. The staff is amazingly professional, warm hearted, friendly and welcoming. I will be posting more delightful photos of every dish I experience and share them with you. Don't miss out!! Thank You Peter's Luncheonette for your love and dedication to outstanding food and customer service. We Love you!!!!

The service was good, although we were basically the only people in there for a late lunch. I've passed this place countless times wondering about it. I don't like giving bad reviews and I'm not trying to hurt anyone's business. That said, this place felt like something stuck in the 70's unintentionally and not in a good way, crusty. The utensils had to be the cheapest I've ever seen. On our initial feeling we wanted to get up and leave, but I had already ordered coffee. To put it plainly the food was not good, the kind that gives you indigestion and the coffee was just as bad. We had ordered breakfast basically, I had gotten the HEMAN (eggs, bacon, ham, toast) and we also got another order of eggs and toast. Everything tasted chemically and really off, to add to it my sausage was ice cold (after coming right out). Really concerning since pork is the last thing you want under cooked. To add to it the prices were absurd for what it was and what we experienced, $15-18 for a basic egg breakfast. Everything on the menu was in that range too. Not sure how this place is still here frankly. On top of that they only take cash and had to pay another $3 to get money out of the atm near the door. $40 all and all for a breakfast that shouldn't have been more than $25. So my curiosity certainly killed the cat and put a damper in our day.

Everything about this establishment is top-notch. I have been going here for quite a few years. The staff, the scrumptious food, the quaint, welcoming ambience (including outdoor seating) is truly a gem in Patchogue Village.... JC is a casual dining spot known mostly for the cultural diversity of American and Latin American cuisine, creative cocktails, and vibrant atmosphere. The menu is very eclectic offering wonderful appetizers, soups, salads, wraps, steaks, chicken, burgers etc. made of the freshest and finest ingredients. Brunch is quite fabulous as well; so if you're ever on the South Shore of Long Island definitely make this a priority on your list of places to eat. I have never, ever left Jardin Cafe disappointed. It's truly such a hip, lively restaurant with a city-like feel. Run, don't walk for a fantastic dining experience!!! Amen...

Overall - 3/5 - did just about everything right except the food. Service was great. Waitress was very friendly, gave recommendations, and fun to have around. Inside of restaurant had a cool vibe and was nice to be in. Rooftop was awesome and the highlight. Unfortunately the food fell short. For the price, it was pretty lacking in taste. Portion were ok but the food was all pretty lackluster. Mussels had curry in them but could barely taste it. Tacos were pretty bland. The drinks barely had alcohol in them? They tasted fine but had 2 drinks and barely felt a thing (I know my tolerance). Unfortunate on the food when it came to here. Likely would not return. I cannot rave enough about this establishment ...The food is amazing, always so fresh and made-to-order! The sourdough bread is so incredibly crusty and delicious, coming from my favorite Portuguese place in Farmingville. My husband said the French onion soup was the best he's ever had....Not to overlook the ambience, which is so welcoming and relaxing. This truly adds a nice touch to the overall dining experience. Stace and her daughter Katherine add so much love and life to this beautiful restaurant. We celebrated my sister's milestone birthday there last September in a cozy private room upstairs. It was beyond spectacular from beginning to end. We continue to return to Sunflower Cafe and Bakery quite often, and always have such a pleasant and warm experience! They also offer a wonderful weekend brunch menu on Sunday's with truly creative and delicious entrées. I believe they are approaching their 3 year anniversary in November, and it's not surprising that they are able to thrive and grow in such a tough economic environment. Run, don't walk to this INCREDIBLE restaurant. It's always such an amazing time for us both. Desserts are also so scrumptious as well, with the option to take home treats from the small bakery area if desired! Thanks to the entire staff for always treating us like family...Cannot wait to return very soon.
