Love this bakery on Brady street! Husband and I wanted some small early afternoon snacks after a very lazy morning. We were welcomed to wonderful smells and sights! The glass cases and shelves were full with different breads, pastries, cakes, and meats. Ultimately we ended up going with a Nutella croissant and a spinach arancini which they were nice to heat up for us! The croissant definitely hit the spot - it was flaky, buttery, and chocolatey. What more could you want? The arancini was okay, I prefer the ones from Glorioso's, but objectively they were tasty. The service was fast and staff very friendly. I do wish that there was a spot inside or out for us to enjoy our treats!

Fresh biscotti. Well maintained bakery. Delicious cookies freshly baked. Great customer service. Clean place. Reasonable prices.

I came here specifically for a few cannolis and left with so much more! It was my first time visiting this Italian bakery on Brady Street and I found it to have an excellent assortment of baked goods including Italian cookies sold by the pound, fresh breads made daily, donuts and croissants, cheesecakes and also unexpected goodies too like big, soft Bavarian style pretzels (for under $5), cornbread muffins and savory spinach and feta pastries. Prices were all very reasonable especially for the cannolis which were made to order. That's right! Don't panic like I did when I didn't see pre-made cannolis sitting behind a bakery case and figured they were all sold out by the time I arrived at 1pm on a weekday (ha!) When you ask for cannolis, you get to choose either plan or chocolate converted shells - I did a few of each. Each cannoli was less than $4 and a delicious / rare treat. I really enjoyed perusing all the delicious treats here and will be back to try more. So far I can highly recommend the cheesecake, cannolis, cherry turnovers and spinach & feta pastry. If you're into fresh bread they do have a punch card where you get a free loaf after you buy 12 loaves. I'll also mention that the customer service was a breath of fresh air. The woman who helped me was kind, knowledgeable and greeted me the moment I walked in. There is no inside seating. This is a grab and go place. As for parking, this is a busy part of the city so be prepared to circle the block a time or two to find a parking spot. I had some luck finding parking on a nearby side street (for free) and then just walked over. If you plan to come here during the weekend I imagine parking will be even more difficult to find - depending on the time of day you stop by.

Spreading love to Peter Sciortino's on this fine #ThankYouThursday. Is it weird to be thankful for smells? Yeah, well I am. The aroma of freshly baked bread and cream-filled sweets is enough to make my day. This bakery is within walking distance from us, so we often find ourselves strolling over on a weekend morning for a cup of jo and little treat. You can feel the small-shop, family-owned vibes here and I love that. During our recent bakery craving, we stopped in and grabbed coffees and an apple turnover. Ooof was that nice. Perfectly flaky pastry and not too sweet. Oh and what's better with coffee than a biscotti? So we left with two bacios (chocolate hazelnut), and a pistachio. They have plenty of goods from Italian breads, to cannolis, fruit tarts and mini cheesecakes. I've yet to try any of their deli items, though I'm sure they wouldn't disappoint. Catch me back in very soon to snag a pie for Thanksgiving! Should I choose pumpkin or pecan?

Love this place!! As the daughter of a baker I will always support local bakeries and luckily this one is so close to my house and so good!! If you want a donut or pastry make sure to get up early, because they don't last long! I love the cinnamon rolls (have just the slightest lemon flavor in the glaze which makes them so perfect!!) for breakfast with a cup of their coffee, the Italian cookies for an afternoon pick me up, and the hot ham and rolls on a Sunday! Everyone who works there is always so nice and I've never ordered something that I didn't love!!

I have wanted to stop at this place for a while now after watching the yelp activity so when I found my self stopped at a red light looking at the place not even knowing where it was I pulled over for a visit. I don't have a big sweet tooth so I will not buy a candy bar or Twinkie's etc but I will occasionally buy quality bakery sweets because if I'm going eat something sweet it's going to be the good stuff. The place is small with a wall of fresh bread, individual sweets, Italian cookies, cakes, small deli salads etc etc. I was not going to go crazy and spend about $10 which got me 5 Italian cookies, dulce leche cream puff and an Italian rainbow cake slice. I sampled everything and it was all very good and I really liked the Italian cookies because I don't think that I have ever had them not having a big sweet tooth. Yah if I was in the area I would definitely stop over again and try some more goodies.

Underwhelming cream puff. The cream had no flavor and there was way too much of it.

First time here and had high hopes because it's one of the only bakeries in the area. Not very welcoming joint and disgusted by the way my partner was treated by the workers here. Bad vibes. Also the cream puff was unimpressive. Stale with an overkill of unsweetened cream in the middle. Overall, no bueno.

Yesss! While I'm not a huge fan of cannolis, Peter Sciortino may have converted me. These cannolis are top notch. Filled to order, you can get mini ones too, at $1.65 each. Different toppings are offered. I like pistachio or cherry. My proxy has also brought back some of the dollar churro donuts, and those are very fresh. The Italian cookies come at a premium price tag, but they're very buttery and made from quality ingredients. What else can I comment on? That limoncello cake! Mmm, pops some nice, citrusy flavor and pleases the palate. I hope to visit in person one day! Keep it up, PS!

I was going to Milwaukee for the day, so I called up the day before to place an order. I ordered kolaczki. Here I am, ordering kolaczki from an Italian bakery. Who knew they would make such excellent ones. I had them from a past visit there and loved them. The last time I was here, they were sold out. I was crushed, so this time I made a call in order to ensure I could get them this trip. My order was waiting for me when I got there. They make three versions, apricot, raspberry, and cheese. They're all great but apricot is my favorite. I also bought a loaf of their Italian bread and my wife bought a bunch of different Italian cookies of which they have dozens to choose from. They also have a large selection of interesting pastries that if I lived in Milwaukee, I would be a regular customer. Awesome kolaczkis, friendly service. This is now on my must stop list when we're in Milwaukee.

We were disappointed they wouldn't heat up the cinnamon roll, the reason they gave us was because the frosting would run and be messy. So the cinnamon roll wasn't very enjoyable. I liked the filling on the seasonal danish but I asked for it heated up and it was served at room temp. The coffee was good- we both thought it was weak for our liking but it had good flavor.
