The staff was so nice and friendly, and we even laughed for a bit which was refreshing. I'm a sucker for seasonal or specialty drinks so the chocolate covered cherry latte immediately caught my eye. I got a large iced with regular milk. I can appreciate all of their different milk variations! The pistachio milk was suggested for me to try, but as a big hater of dates, I had to skip it. The latte was rich and a good quality coffee, so the drink went down very smooth. The maraschino cherries on top were a nice touch too. I love the punk rock feel, and will definitely be visiting more frequently.

They make an excellent iced americano, so I'm happy (my fav). It's a welcoming and inclusive space. I always feel comfortable. They have plenty of seating, some upholstered furniture and we saw a few Friday morning telecommuters working on their laptops and sipping their coffees. Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). We loved our visit to the Coffee Guy, and I was so impressed by the total experience, I just subscribed to their newsletter. So the next time we're looking for a midday break or afternoon pick-me-up..... I know a guy!

And very importantly they are dog friendly! And it was so fun to see some of the dogs in the shop So I was already excited to be here , along with many other people , so I had very high expectations and all the vibes were good ! They offer lots of fresh coffee options , and they had some seasonal specialty drinks And in the season of October and pumpkin spice I decided to try the pumpkin spice latte iced ! They staff was great esp for being super busy they did a fabulous job ... Now the only bad thing was my drink .. unfortunately I did not like it ( and I have tried my fair share of pumpkin spice lattes and this was by the far the worst I've had ) The spice/ flavouring to coffee ratio was very off ! it tasted like I just had a spoonful of pumpkin spice seasoning mixed with some water and a splash of coffee . So I feel sad that the drink I got was terrible so maybe in the future I will try the regular coffee options instead of the speciality drinks which for me is unfortunate since I am a speciality drink lover and I love to try different flavours

I can't believe some of the reviews. The coffee is roasted in house, the syrups are from scratch. If they could fit a cow in their (way too small) parking lot they'd probably have fresh milk and cream, too! Went in yesterday for a work meeting and the service was even better than usual. The vibe and atmosphere here is great for meetings, business or casual. My associate and I split a Siphon Pot to start. If you have the time, this is the very best way to enjoy your coffee. It really pulls the flavor out of the beans, on par with a pour over or aeropress, but it's also perfect for sharing. Afterwards, we both got Cortados, which were excellent, and I brought ice coffee back to the office for the man we left behind to run things. He sighed happily after sipping it, commenting that he could tell it was from J René. Why not 5 stars? The food is ok but I'm not a big fan of the pastries I've tried here. They're "fine". Normally my wife will get one and I'll try a bite or two. She's really into croissants and won't get them from here, saying they're a waste of money. The prices can feel a little steep here, especially compared to other good, local spots. Lastly, the parking lot is so tiny and during busy times of day the road can get crowded as well.

I ordered the iced latte. However I felt like for a coffee shop the coffee options were limited and didn't offer any specialty drinks/menu . And i didn't see any options for adding flavours like vanilla or hazelnut either which was disappointing for someone who ho loves to add flavour to coffee ( not sure if I just had to ask for it .. but didn't see it on the menu as an option) They did however offer a variety of different types of coffee and brewing options which was different . They also offered pastries and a limited food menu as well which I felt was little pricey . And the seating is also very limited , and uncomfortable . Not ideal for sitting and chatting for extend periods . Ideally I would come here for a grab and go coffee if you want something nice and simple .

We also got mini macarrones, which I thought would be better than a tasted! They were stale!! They taste it absolutely horrible and there was no flavor. No differentiation between the chocolate, coffee, or the lemon. It all tasted by straight sugar and cardboard. Yuck Unfortunately, I probably won't be back due to the pricing and the experience I had with the food

One of my friends asked me (quite earnestly) if I had ever been to the Community Room Cafe for breakfast because "it's really great". Well, we went there today and I sincerely want to thank that unknown Yelper because the Community Room Café is excellent. We found it in the Constitution Square retail area bounded by Cedar St., E. Main St., Market Sq and Lowrey Place in the center of Newington, CT. Parking is plentiful in the Square's large parking lot. Their space is amazing -big, cheerful, inviting, comfortable, colorful (plenty of orange and black). There are plenty of various seating options in the form of couches, upholstered chairs, table/chair groupings, and counter-style seats by the windows. We saw a few medium sized groups gabbing away at the upholstered seat area and a few industrious folks clattering away on their laptops. We each went with an Avocado Toast (@ $9) with mashed avocado, diced egg, diced tomato, bacon crumbles, cilantro, and Everything bagel seasoning blanketing a big slice of toasted rye. Seriously, one of the best breakfasts we had this year. I went with a small cold brew coffee and a shot of sugar-free caramel ($4.25) while my wife went with a small light roast coffee ($3). We loved everything about the Community Room Café- the food, the vibe, the décor, the service.... Everything. PRO TIPS Their WIFI password is (one word all CAPS) ILOVEMY COFFEE They have a meeting room available to rent for $50/hour during business hours and $100/hour during non-business hours.
