I want to preface by saying the worker that was completing my purchase was fine. This review is based off the other lady (taller) that worked there as well as petcos policy. I went today (02-15-26) around 12:15pm. I went in and was going to buy these ear drops. I asked the worker who was helping me if they price match. She said ONLY petco. Perfect! The item in question was on sale on petcos website. Then she said I had to give her my number to get the price match! I was reluctant because I don't want emails. She said we could skip that part. Perfect! I show her the exact picture attached. She says it says only online. I say oh, there's two discounts only one says online. She says it's petcos policy. I said ok.... So if I order this for pickup and come back in an hour... I could get the discount then? She says yup! I tell her how it would be an inconvenience to have to come back when originally she said they could price match. The taller lady I think wearing glasses (I say I think because not once did she ever offer a solution or help me) hears me say that and says "if you get emails you should've gotten that" while she's walking around. Never stopped to explain or anything. I tell her how I didn't want emails (remember I had already said that to the first worker) and she's like "yup! Only online" as she's still walking around. I tell the worker who's at the register with me it makes no sense and the other worker is still talking as she's now walking away and in the most condescending way says "have a great day thanks for stopping by" as I'm still completing my purchase. I'm like wow she's rude I don't want to come back here. The lady asks if I want my receipt I said no and quickly left because of how uncomfortable the taller girl made me feel. If I absolutely didn't need the item, I would've left without making a purchase. Her attitude was 0-100 and I wasn't even being helped by her. I typically like going to Petco for my pet needs but this location is a bit underpar. I came here looking for new goldfishes and the ones I saw were a bit weak. Took me a long time to find staff that can help me with my purchase. Seems like this store is understaffed. I was told their shipment comes on a Monday/Tuesday so better to come by then. I did end up getting some fish food and aquarium plants as well. So looking forward to another trip to this store to get fresh goldfish! read more

Vet services here are fantastic. I have a shepherd many are afraid of even though he's friendly. They understood the difference between anxious and aggressive and had no problem handling him. They offered free advice for unrelated issues and took the time to speak with you like they care. Online appointments and reminders are seamless and they keep flawless vaccination records. This is now the SECOND time my dog has come home from this groomer with severe razor burn on his genitals after a sanitary trim. The skin was bright red, raw, and clearly painful ,he was licking constantly and very uncomfortable. I trusted that after the first incident extra care would be taken, but unfortunately it happened again. This is a very sensitive area and should never be shaved this closely. I've had to treat the irritation at home to prevent infection and keep him from being in pain. Pet safety and comfort should always come first, and repeat injuries like this are extremely concerning. I hope the grooming staff take more care in the future so other pets don't have the same experience. We will definitely never be coming back to this place . read more

I came in here for aquarium plants not expecting much since the other stores I've been to have been lacking to say the least. But I was pleasantly surprised at how much selection and how well maintained the aquatic plants section was! I found a ton of different plants to choose from and they made it easy to pick out easy care ones from more difficult ones. All looked healthy and reasonably priced. I also checked out the fish while I was there and they looked so much healthier than the ones at the other stores. I'll definitely be coming here from now on!! read more

I like this Petco but they always seem understaffed. I got really sick and decided to use the curbside pick up option, but when I got there it said to call the store because they are busier than normal. I waited for 5 min for someone to pick up and then it said sorry, no one can answer your call....once again understaffed to help their customers. It's well stocked and staff is friendly and helpful. The downside is they always seem to be understaffed. We end up waiting long periods of times to be helped and have to remind staff several times. You don't even deserve one star. I have always liked the grooming service at Petco, and in the past groomer Emani did a great job taking care of my dog. But today I had a very disappointing experience. The lady, Sierra, shaved my dog only halfway and then called me to pick him up, saying my dog was matted and too difficult to continue. I understand safety is important, but I don't understand why she kept grooming if she already knew the situation, and then called me to pick up my dog halfway. If I could give Petco Grooming 0 stars, I would. The staff are consistently rude and act like they don't want to do their jobs. Every time I book an appointment for my dog, it gets cancelled. The first time, the groomer cancelled because he "had to leave early" and said my dog would take too long. Another time, they told me to bring my dog in earlier than my scheduled appointment and cancelled when I couldn't--again because my dog would "take too long." This is unprofessional, disrespectful of customers' time, and shows a complete lack of care for both pets and their owners. I will not be returning and do not recommend this location. read more

I believe this is a good option for pet supplies on or near Tyler St. For example, I found some grain-free cat food that I didn't see at Target. In my opinion, I think the complex a little awkward to navigate. However, if you use a GPS or look at a map in advance, then I think you can figure out how to get to the Petco. Took my 1 year old large dog for her first grooming. After the groomer asked if I would like to use her in the future I agreed, she looked good. rescheduled next visit online after trying to call store. The same groomer wasn't available for a week. selected any groomer. 20 minutes b4 appointment I get a call and I was told based on the notes from last appointment only the original groomer can groom my dog. When I asked why, I was told about the notes that my dog laid down a lot during the fist visit. I said it was her first time to be groomed? The manager said based on the notes only the original groomer could groom her. I asked you only have one groomer that can work on large dogs and was told because of the notes yes. For me this location is less aggravating to visit than the chronically understaffed Redlands store. Sure, Redlands has more critters and supplies but all I need is periodic refills for my cat's food and toys. The store is just off the freeway and is handicapped by only one way in or out (as are all the stores on this strip). Recently I noticed that they setup a food and water station for the homeless with dogs by a hole in the fence. That's pretty cool and worth bumping up the score a little. Over the years I have found the staff here to be friendly and they often have answers to questions about returns and getting points for purchases. From time to time they're cleaned out of the things I am looking for but generally I get in and pretty quickly. For that I'd rate them 3.5 stars, rounded down for the difficulty getting in and out of the awkward parking lot. read more

We can never find anyone anywhere near the isles when we have questions or need something off of a top shelf. When we do finally find someone, they always look like they're unhappy and act as if they are inconvenienced by us. There used to be a really wide variety of cat scratchers for our fur babies, but the options and all-around stock have dwindled more and more over the last couple of years. SARAH pretended to be a manger after my dog was denied for reasons that we were not explained before the grooming. Excuse us for giving our 140 pound dog anxiety meds before his grooming to help the groomer out. Anywho, after being denied at 8am, first appointment. We were told they couldn't accommodate us. Never mind that we booked a week and half ago and woke up on our day off at 7:30am. No one called to tell us about meds and it wasn't in the online when booking. We've been to other locations, did the same thing and no problem. I asked to be squeezed in tomorrow for the inconvenience and was met with the rudeness of SARAH. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had. SARAH, very rudely told me she was canceling our appointment for next Monday and hung up on me. This girl needs a new job. ASAP! When I called back, turns out she's not the manager. Which explains the awful attitude and behavior. Well SARAH, I will be canceling my own appointment and driving my ass to my regular petco where they know how to treat people. Hope SARAH GETS FIRED. No guest should be treated badly when being put out in the first place. Will not be returning to this run down store because of this woman. SARAH GETS NO STARS. I am picky about our dog food. If you see "meal" anywhere in the first half of the ingredients, be suspicious. Purina says it's wholesome. I would buy Nestle stock, but would not buy that line. Our requirements: Raw, no meal, organ meat (the first thing animals eat from a fresh kill), and preferably freeze dried for convenience. That describes the Instinct brand sold by Petco. My first time to this location, I had Imani do a nail trim on my pup. She was so kind and friendly, had FANTASTIC customer service, and did everything with a smile. Just finished up another appointment for a nail trim and Sarah trimmed my pup. Sarah gets them at the perfect length each time. I love knowing I can trust her with my pup. As a dog owner, it's always nice to be reassured. My girl gets nervous at the groomer, so the clear windows are a game changer so she can see me while she's getting her trim :) read more

We made an appointment for the puppy's third vaccine. They didn't finish their vaccine, so they cannot meet people and other dogs. They need more patience cause they feel nervous, but they never bite. But the nurse just uses the mouth cover directly without any reason, the little puppies feel fearful and uncomfortable. He even didn't get familiar with the puppies, let them calm down, and catch the puppies directly which is so unprofessional. read more

Absolute disaster, extremely unprofessional. First time taking my dog to this location for a grooming appt (bath only). Groomer said she said needs to upcharge me for a large dog size. I let her know I took my dog to another location 4 months ago for grooming and they weighted her at a medium size dog based off your store standards. She informed me that their store doesn't have a scale, they go based off how they look, and she looks like a large size. I then told her, well if I went to the other location they'd weigh her at medium, so why am I upcharged as a large here? She then told me it will take 2-3 hours. I dropped her off at 9:45am....4 hours go by, no calls/ texts for any updates on my dog's BATH service. I called the store 4 times, no answer.. so I came into the store at 1:30pm, and the groomer told me "nope she's not ready. She didn't like the blow dryer, so she's sitting in the kennel air drying. Come back at 2:15". That upset me because this is the 4th hour for ONLY A BATH SERVICE, and my dog is sitting in the kennel wet, waiting. I left and came back at 2:15pm, my dog still wasn't ready. I spoke to the store manager Jennifer, who was super unprofessional. She let me know their vet took their scale, but they do have a cat scale, but it's broken so it's going to be inaccurate around 10lbs. Which is ridiculous. She said they go based off how the dog looks, since it's a golden doodle, it's automatically a large size dog. I let her know my dog was just considered a medium size according to the other location, how is that possible that you guys just "eyeball" a size determination but other stores use policy of going by weight? She stood to her story and let me know it's the groomers decision. They completely ignored my point of view, frustration and never apologized once. I let her know if she had an update on my dog because now it's almost 5 hours for a bath service, and that I never got any updates regarding my dog the entire time. She said "well your groomer is busy taking care of your pet, she doesn't have time to text or call you". I told her I have always had the groomers text updates or even call me to let me know what's going on with the appointment. And she continued to argue with me and said "which other locations have you been to? I just see the Mira loma location" and I said "yes that's exactly my point, that location has called me at least 2 times for updates on my previous appts with them" . She continued to ignore what I was saying and let me know I can have the number for corporate if I wanted and that was it. 5 hours for a bath service, unprofessional management by Jennifer, poor service by groomer Caitlin. Please do not get grooming services with this location, they are extremely unprofessional. The Mira loma location handled the situation by offering to refund the overcharge which was amazing of them to do so because they had nothing to do with this situation.
