I highly recommend InsideOut Dog Training and George, the trainer. It's been about 7 months since I completed the level 1 group training with George and I figure it's time to leave a review! I adopted a 1 year old terrier mix from Mary S. Roberts and took advantage of their discounted training rate. I like to say my little one had NO manners. She was exhibiting a lot of concerning behaviors that you can't discredit come with adopting a rescue dog. We already had a 4 year old husky with us that we've had since he was a puppy, but that didn't stop the terrier from coming into the house like she was the owner. She was very anxious and scared and it seemed to be reflected in her trying to be dominant and somewhat aggressive with our dog and visitors to the house. It was a defeating feeling that first month before I was able to get her into training. She nipped, barked, was always afraid, would freeze when I would leave the house, and couldn't be left alone. I really want to thank George because he is so good at recognizing dog behaviors and probably more important, human behaviors with their dogs! The class setup was only about 6 people, enough to learn from others but also not so big that any dog didn't get the attention they need/deserve. George taught ME some dog behaviors and traits and I've been able to extend what he taught during the class to outside of the classes to better train my dog. I think the most important thing he taught me was to pay attention to how I'm reinforcing certain behaviors, because we are reinforcing (positively or negatively) whether we know it or not. Now my dog is so much more confident and excited to follow directions since we finished training. Everyone who met her when I first got her has noticed and mentioned the positive shift in her mannerisms and personality since training. If you're looking for a dog trainer in the Inland Empire, we can't recommend Jason from Inside Out Dog Training enough! We rescued a dog who had extreme leash reactivity. We shopped around and talked to several trainers and they all wanted to do a boot camp situation. Jason could have pushed for a board and train/boot camp option but he let us know that doing private lessons (very affordable when purchased as a package) would give us the best results for taking care of her issues. We appreciated that Jason didn't push for the highest cost option and wanted to give us the skills to work with our dog and her problems in normal day to day life out in the "real" world. He's always been really patient with all our questions and has been more than happy to field questions about our other dogs and things we can improve on with them outside of working with our "problem" dog without asking for additional compensation. As I said, if you're looking for a dog trainer who cares about your dog, uses positive reinforcement methods and gives you the skills to make your dog the best they can be then Jason is your guy. My puppy and I just finished Level 1 training with Jason and we both loved the whole experience!! In addition to creating a strong foundation for future training, my puppy was given important socialization time with other puppies. It was incredible to see all the puppies progress, some finding their voices and others learning to respect the boundaries of others. Jason is so passionate and knowledgeable about dogs and training. He's able and more than willing to answer any question you have! One of the things I loved most about this course were Jason's positive methods. No chokes or prongs. No intimidation or punishment and still all the puppies accomplished their goals. This speaks volumes to the power of positive reinforcement!! Took my new puppy to puppy class Level 1 last month. The puppy class was awesome! Jason taught me and my fiancé all the basics that we should know to get our puppy started out right. We learned many great tips and tricks that we implement in our pups everyday life. Also, all the puppies in class are able to socialize with each other a few times a class which is so good for them. It is a fun and friendly atmosphere. You are able to ask questions and he will help you with what you are struggling with. I am very disappointed as I read all of the great reviews. I have a boxer and French bulldog in need of some training. I reached out via their website and left a detailed message. I never received any response so I called and left a voicemail. A few days later I received a text message on how to either set up a consultation or sign up for puppy classes. I followed the instructions per the message to set up a consultation but never heard back. I called again and the mailbox was full. I sent a text and again never heard back. I don't know if they are just that busy but they should at least take the time to respond. Very sad as this is close to our house and I was hoping would be a great fit for our dogs. read more

He had some super important time to socialize with other dogs, and I was able to lay the foundation for some future training. He is able to do the basics after this 4 week class and it was very affordable. Jason and George were very helpful and were able to address all the questions and concerns I had, and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. We absolutely love this training class! 3 years ago, we rescued a puppy and brought him to this class. It's super affordable and we just adore our trainer Jason! We recently got another rescue and she just finished her Puppy-K class today. It is so amazing to have a training class that is based on paw-sitive enforcement, no chains, and no prong collars! The positive based training has made our fur babies amazing dogs, and very social! When we first rescued Boo!-Dracula and Bella-Mina Noire, they were very timid and antisocial; and now they are just simply amazing! You absolutely cannot ask for more from a dog training program. Bella will be starting her new class next week, and Mr. Boo!-Dracula will be returning for more! The social interaction with other dogs and people is just simply priceless! We will never go anywhere else! The whole staff is just simply amazing! The class is offered at the Mary S. Roberts rescue in Riverside (where we also got our two recent babies from), they also offer a low cost vaccine clinic on site and the volunteers really care about the animals. Even during class you can sometimes see them walking and interacting with some of the animals waiting for there furever homes. It's just really a great program! My Dachshund/Terrier, Meeka, and I absolutely loved working with George and are so grateful to have found InsideOut Dog Training! When first reaching out to the trainers, we were able to select a program that best fit Meeka and I. I was immediately connected with George, who was more than helpful and accommodating. Understanding that Meeka has a hard time focusing with other dogs around, we opted to do private training in a park that Meeka and I were already familiar with. I had a very spoiled little Chihuahua named Xochitl. After not owning a dog for 17 years, I retired and decided I would make that little girl a part of my family. She is very loving and gentle so she was easy to spoil. Those big brown eyes made it really hard for me to tell her no, so I decided on the two week board training. Oh my gosh! When I went to pick her up I could not believe my eyes. She turned into a dog who listens and obeys. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with Insideout. I have been reaching out via email, call, and text and not one respond over the past few months. I eventually just decided to bite the bullet and purchase his adult dog training course because of the reviews. The trainer decided a few days before the class start date to postpone to the following week, because the class would be better with more dogs. Okay, thats fine I understand. Next start date, the trainer postponed DAY OF with not even asking and just telling us and not giving us a hard start date. My whole family benefited from our level 1 puppy classes. Each class offered a unique experience and learning opportunity for all of us. It has been wonderful working with both George and Jason. They are very knowledgeable and were able to address any questions, problems, or concerns that I had with logical explanations and expertise. I have brought two of our dogs to Jason. I learned about him from my sister who trained her own dogs and felt he was the best. His prices are reasonable so we went to him. We took our beagle when we first got her and new to dogs and we most recently took our German shepherd puppy to him. He made it fun and educational. He is very knowledgeable and has had a lot of experience. We learned so much from him while we were in the class. The adult class was great for us because it taught us the basic fundamentals of training our dog without using force or harsh tactics. So much information was crammed into every session I felt I should record them just to retain it all. The puppy classes were fun. It was mainly to socialize the pups and get them used to playing with other dogs. The only frustrating thing was we couldnt pet all the puppies but there were good reasons for that.. Our dog grew so much while in the class. she was the one run ing and hiding in the corner and being very scared of everything. He showed us how to handle that and she really came out of her shell by the end. He had tactics for everyone and their individual problems with their dogs and again showed he was very knowledgeable. He has different levels of classes from beginner all the way up and he does try to tailor it to fit what your dog needs as well.
