I would like to highly recommend Real Deal Dog Training. I had to make a decision on whether to get rid of my dog or put her in dog training. She became a huge Liability because she would lunge at other dogs and their owners when I would walk her in my Neighborhood. It came to a point where all the Neighbors would avoid us and walk across the street. My dog Hannah had great anxiety when I left for work and she has destroyed my backyard window screens and Jumped over my back yard Fence. She destroyed the interior of my home. In which, entailed my front room window coverings and my torn Sectional Sofa. In my Family room she destroyed my window Coverings she also chewed up my wall, door and baseboards in my hallway. The destruction never seemed to stop! I called Real Deal Dog Training and had spoken with the Owner Stephanie and she set up a plan with the Trainer-Forrest. They kept her for 3 weeks and my dog-Hannah came back a confident - new dog! She seemed very happy and her tail was wagging a lot! She acted like she didn't want to go home with me. She absolutely loved her Trainer-Forrest . He was her best buddy. In conclusion, Hannah is following my commands and the issues have ceased. Hannah and myself are happy now! Sincerely, E.Wexler read more

The RDDT crew is hands down the best drug training team I've used. I had sketch thousands on previous trainers and all behavioral issues persisted. One week each for both of my bozos and the issues, both canine and human, have been addressed and the neighbors have noticed the difference immediately. read more

Beyond satisfied with the services, care, and program Real Deal Dog Training has to offer. The name speaks for itself. We did a one month program with Carrie and she is phenomenal. She introduced our puppy to scent work, covered obedience, as well as introduction to protection. Carrie was also generous enough to help up with our GSD ear to stay up and provided us on insightful tips (which she did not have to but she generously did so). Thank you so o Carrie and the Team. They also provide boarding services for temperamental adult dogs which is reassuring to know. I trust this group with all my K9 needs. They're kind enough to provide education and resources and also make it known it's more about the dog than the money. Thank you guys, we look forward to working with you all on a routine basis. read more

I've been taking private lessons with Dave to help me with my 2 year old husky mix, Topaz. She's been through group classes at other places for basic and intermediate obedience and has her Canine Good Citizen. But I still felt I needed more training for her to correct some problems. I was looking for private lessons that were rated well but not too expensive...that's when I found The Real Deal!! When I called and talked to Stephanie, I felt SURE this was the right place for me, exactly what I was looking for. Dave is very calm and patient and easy to talk to. Topaz did most things perfectly for him right from the start! UGH!! But he taught me the tricks and she is getting better with me now too. I take her on tons of walks alone and with Kiara to practice what Dave has taught me. I feel SO confident when I'm with Dave walking the dogs (I have 2) and going places with him, like Home Depot. He makes me calmer too! And Kiara (my 6 year old shep mix) LOVES to tag along on all the outings and training classes. I am now also taking their group classes. Forrest (another trainer) takes Kiara for me and she LOVES him!! I handle Topaz. The group classes are also very good. It's a great way to build confidence in your dog while among other strange dogs. They learn proper manners and how to interact at a safe distance. ALL the people in the class and the other trainers are very nice and accomodating. I have never felt awkward or like an outsider there...always welcomed by smiles and friendly conversation. I can't thank Dave and Stephanie enough!! My girls look forward to seeing you every time and they come home happy and tired! It's SO good for all of us. Looking forward to the next class! Don't waste time looking around for any other training. Dave is the REAL DEAL!! read more

Had to come here and write a review after seeing some videos of trainers that don't know how to do their job. I know how important it is to find the right trainer and at real deal dog training you will get the best of the best. I've worked with 3 trainers there and they are all so nice and extremely knowledgeable about why your dog may do certain things and how to correct it. I also feel like my dog is safe with them when doing home trainings walking down the street. If I could give them 5 stars a million times I would. read more

Kerri is awesome! We rescued our dog Opie last year and decided we needed Kerri's services. Just in one training session I learned a lot even to be a better owner so that I could set up my dog for success. When the trainer gave Opie commands I was in utter disbelief when he immediately took his place and stopped from pulling aggressively on his leash which is one of my issues I've had with him, he did it without an ounce of hesitation. He then continued to demonstrate other commands that she worked on with him. Opie still has a long way to go. However, the amount of progress with just one session was absolutely amazing. I appreciate Kerris in-depth explanation of the psychology of why they do things the way they do. It helped everything make sense to me and better to be able to carry out the training at home. Also Stephanie, is super professional, schedules me with a schedule that suits my crazy schedule, responds to my messages quick and is soooooo kind. I just cannot say enough praise about these trainers/company. This was definitely one of the best investments we have made bringing Opie here. Real deal Dog training is "THE REAL DEAL"!!!!! I would not recommend them for dog training due to their unorganized scheduling from day 1.

It doesn't get any better than Real Deal! I'm beyond thankful I found them it's been almost 3 years now and still till this day I make the drive from hollywood to riverside because it is worth it! It's hard to find trainers that ACTUALLY know what they are doing. My boy came to work with Dave at 5 months old for protection training and I can't thank him and his team enough. Highly highly recommended read more

Real deal training is hands down the best training facility around. I've been training with them for over 4 years. I am constantly getting compliments about how well behaved my corso is in public. Stephanie, Dave, and Kerri went above and beyond in helping me train my dutchie over the holiday break. I had to leave town and had never left my dog with anyone. They kept me updated everyday and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Would give them 10 stars if I could!! Best in the business, they will take care of you!! I love 2 hours away from them but will gladly continue to make the drive to ensure my dog is in good hands. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Real Deal Dog Training - their level of professionalism is truly unparalleled. As someone who manages (3) companies and works in the security industry holding licenses as a CPP, CISO and acting CTO and COO, I am beyond impressed as to the way their program and company is run. From the moment I contacted their team, I knew I was in good hands. Dave, Stephanie, and every single trainer on their staff are true professionals, committed to delivering the best results for their clients. They take the time to understand each dog's unique needs and tailor their training approach accordingly, ensuring that every dog leaves their program well-behaved and happy. What really sets Real Deal Dog Training apart, however, is their focus on each dogs behaviors and temperament. Whether it's aggression, nervousness or basic obedience you can expect AMAZING results. Personally I've taken all three of my dogs here and am getting a protection dog especially trained from Dave and his staff. Overall, I cannot recommend Real Deal Dog Training enough. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to positive reinforcement make them the go-to choice for anyone looking to train their k9. Thank you, Dave, Stephanie, and the entire team, for all that you do! read more

Ok first things first, you can't expect someone else to train your dog and then magically think that this dog is going to obey all these commands without daily work! It's not only the dog that gets trained it's you(the handler) as well! You've got to put in the time and work to keep up with your dogs obedience training, dogs need to be worked and they need mental and physical exercise! These guys at real deal dog training not only help you with all your dog training needs but they also help set YOU up to be the best handler you can be! When I had my first couple private training sessions with Dave he helped me learn how to have a better relationship with my dog which plays directly into his obedience...if your looking for a trainer who's going to be straight forward with you and give you nothing but the honest truth then look no further! If youre considering taking your dog for training, i would advise you to not send a deposit unless you are absolutely sure that you will be taking your dog in no matter what. Deposits are non-refundable. I sent them $200 and when i couldnt take my dog in due to the distance from my new house to this facility, i was advised i lost my money. So in essence, i gave them $200 and got nothing in return. It says a lot about the character of this facility when theyre willing to keep people's money without rendering a service, so thats something that should also be kept in mind. Their excuse for not issuing a refund was that it is stated in their contract that they dont issue refunds, however i never signed such contract. Other than that, i will say that they have good communication and respond quickly to any inquiries. As for the training i wouldnt know because my dog wasnt trained by them. read more

I can't stress enough the confidence Real Deal DT has blessed our whole family with! The welcome from Dave boosted us with insight into our pup Neptune's full potential ! Through his confidence we were able to continue thoughtful and thorough training session with Kerri ( who is a literal angel ). As an anxious person Kerri us teaching us the tools we need so I can have support from Neptune as I navigate my mental Heath needs - no matter if that's at home or Lowe's . We are now in the beginning of our 12 sessions but each one has been a unique gift that creates better communication and quality of life for our whole family! Im hooked and having a blast while we are at it! Thank you to the Real Deal family from the bottom of our hearts ! read more

My dog Maximus is a great dog, but had some puppy issues that we were just not aware of how to deal with. We brought him to Dave and Javier, first day huge difference in Maximus. We will continue to use them with any future pups we get. read more

Real Deal is the REAL DEAL. We rescued a young German Shepherd who had been unsuccessful in other homes. Great with humans of all ages, not so great with dogs. We lovingly called him the domestic terrorist as he did not seem to know how to deal with other dogs and things would escalate quickly. He a large boy, and with two other large dogs at home the vet bill potential was high. But, we knew this boy deserved a chance so we called Real Deal. Stephanie called us back immediately (on Easter Sunday!) and scheduled an in-home evaluation the following day with two handlers, Dave and Nick. In less than an hour Dave and Nick were able to accurately evaluate the new dog, the pack he needs to integrate into, and ME - the handler who would ultimately be responsible for making this work. Dave is a master at his craft - not only a master at handling dogs, but he is also a master at transmitting his knowledge to you in digestible pieces. Dave gave us the knowledge, tools and confidence to not only take in a dog that was labeled aggressive and placed on a euthanasia list, but to SUCCESSFULLY integrate him into the pack. Unlike other trainers, Dave doesn't just make it look easy - he actually makes it easy. So easy that my 7 year old handles him effectively by applying what Dave taught her. It has been just over three weeks (and three sessions with Dave) since we brought Rocky home and we are happy to report that Rocky has found his furever home. Without Dave and Real Deal I would have never had the tools or confidence to make this possible. Rocky is an amazing dog and we are so grateful to Real Deal for teaching us how to make him shine. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I had to write one for this company. I was interested in board and train for my puppy and didn't know exactly when I am able to actually send my dog off but after paying a deposit Stephanie was so sweet and she said she will send me a trainer to the house just to see exactly what we are struggling with until the 2 week program, even before the deposit she answered all my questions and concerns I literally can't thank her enough and can't wait to see the final end results of transformation with my pup aka little fireball I call her that now as a nickname ever since Stephanie called her that. If anyone is looking for a training place that take time to explain things to you and offer you different ways to pay and has outstanding customer service than I highly recommend you give them a call you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much Stephanie and David for everything!! read more

I have learn even with my disability I could be apart of training WIGGLE BUTT and have learned so much from her. It all makes sense, they make it so simple to understand. If you're looking to get your dog trained, Real Deal is the place to go! I've been going to Real Deal for almost two years now and I am extremely happy. None of my questions ever go unanswered. Kerri is my go to for obedience. She is so patient and extremely thorough explaining what she is doing and why she is doing it. Dave is the master trainer/owner and is probably one of the best at reading dogs! He is so honest and will tell you where both your dogs and your own strengths and weaknesses are. He will guide you and set up a game plan to get both you and your dog on the same page. I highly recommend Real Deal! read more

Finding Real Deal Dog Training was the best thing that could've happened to us with our dog! Our dog was extremely dog aggressive and aggressive towards people. We went to other trainers and were either turned away or recommended to do a 3 month board and train for thousands of dollars with no promise that it would help. After just one session with Dave we saw tremendous improvements with our dog right away. We did a package of 5 privates and 3 group classes and we couldn't be happier. For a fraction of the price of other trainers our dog is now able to walk in crowded places, stores, and around other dogs with no problems. We can bring him everywhere we go now. Stephanie's group classes are awesome if your dog struggles with being around other dogs. Kerry and Dave are great with obedience in public places. Nick and Dave were awesome in helping build a REAL DEAL dog that will protect my wife in any situation. Everyone on the real deal team is awesome, each having their own niche that they focus on. There's a lot of dog trainers out there that don't know what they're doing and can't handle dogs with real issues. You won't have to worry about that with these guys. If you're looking for a trainer who will test your dog in uncomfortable real life scenarios these are the best trainers to go to hands down. read more

A friend of mine the same one who found my Belgian Malinois for me recomended me this dog Academy. But it was through someone else that he knew about this people. Well, he helped me to put my Motley in training with this people. Then all this people asked all the time was "Who has the $$$?" I had my doubts because of this. End up paying $1,200 upfront for 2 weeks training. I asked for training certificate which never got from them, not even an invoice. They only teach my Motley 4 commands but with a spike collar and a leash. Today she doesn't obey without a collar and a leash, even so I have to pull her to have her to follow my commands. Talked with other professionals and show them the videos that I have from Real Dog Training with my Motley and they all said that I could do this for about $200 at Petco, and that I have lost my $$$. So this people are just no good for training a dog or might be as good as Petco trainers. (No disrespect Petco trainers) But I wanted a real strong training for my Motley. So I wouldn't recommend this people to no one. Next time I will investigate them ask for their Certificates (Documents, licenses, etc. I will advise everyone to do the same before making this investment. read more

My GSD mix Luna was out of control. She would lunge, bark, growl, and constantly pull. She is fear reactive which means she is scared of anything that is unfamiliar which causes her to react. I was scared that things weren't going to get better and started to feel hopeless I went to trainers before but they didn't have much hope for her either. However, I started my first session here and I'm honestly amazed! Kerri helped lay the foundation and showed me tricks on how to control Luna and build her confidence! Now Luna is learning how to heel and ignore dogs while building more of her confidence and I feel more at ease. Honestly if you have a dog like mine who constantly lunges towards dogs or you feel like you need that help come here!! I was scared I wouldn't be able to help Luna and I would always be looking over my shoulder for a bike or a dog which you can't avoid! So instead Kerri taught me how to correct Luna in those situations and she is starting to learn how to properly act. I and so excited to continue working with Real Dog Training and I can't wait to see how Luna and I will grow! Thank you guys so much again read more
