We took our puppy to the groomers for the first time. And I must have called/emailed about 10 different groomers before I decided to take her here... First off...I received a response almost immediately... It didn't feel like it's was completely a cut and paste answer... She actually took the time to offer what she can do..the haircut length and was genuinely interested and excited to meet our little tiny terror... That made me feel comfortable leaving her with them considering we have never taken her to the groomers before and my other two dogs are night and day..one loves the groomers... The other one is a poster child for the worst pup ever at a groomers. So we dropped her off.. and came back a few hours later.. only to hear how wonderful and good she was..and she looked so precious and clean and happy... Based on that alone. We would come back for sure.. The only thing I probably would say is.. it's a bit pricey. They have rewards programs and discounts. But $52 feels a bit much when we are accostomed to paying 30-40 for the other two that are 25+ lbs and she's about 5lbs ... either way.. it was worth the trip and they were amazing with her. Do not take your dog here for grooming - we had a shampoo blow dry two weeks before bringing our dog in for a cut - they botched it up so badly - he doesn't even look like the same dog - and who knows what it will look like when it grows out - worst of all the little guy has been so sad since his beautiful coat was shaved off. Took our dogs here for the very first time today. They were bathed and just given a "tidy" (sanitary) groom. They looked terrific. Now-the disappointments: Saw coupon and "paid for" article in Riverside Magazine with $5 off coupon. Website lists hours but no prices. Prices are not listed in the store - just the services. The owner Don took the dogs in at 7:15 am - quoting me $42 for my maltipoo and $40 for the yorkiepoo for BATH AND TIDY GROOMING ONLY. How he came up with the price is beyond me...I filled out paperwork and showed current shot records for the dogs and handed him magazine ad with $5 coupon. No idea if it would only be off one dog or $5 off each dog. Told dogs would be ready between 11-12. Told not to come to location to pick up dogs until called. 2pm and no calls. I called and learned dogs were ready. Arlington Avenue and that area are construction zones right now due to 91 Freeway traffic. Getting the dogs there for their 7AM FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED....meant dealing with rush hour traffic. Returning to pick up the dogs the owner was gone and a young lady was cashier. I was asked for $82. I told her that I brought in a coupon - her reply was THAT IS THE PRICE WITH THE COUPON. Again, with charges not posted all I could do was pay and get over the $5 savings I thought I was going to get. The dogs were adorned with Halloween scarves. I can't imagine driving there and being told - we are full with a 7am FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED POLICY. Prices for services should be posted on their website and in their store. I wonder had I walked in wearing worn clothing would I have been quoted a lower price? Parking is scary. The store is around the corner and walking the dogs across a shopping center entrance is an accident waiting to happen...with cars whipping in to the TARGET shopping center - many unaware there might be dog owners with their dogs. Desheading process offered is a total scam! I took my lab/poodle mix Luke who is shedding to be trimmed. The owner explained that he does not recommend shaving dogs with two coats and could stop 90% of hair using their desheading process. I explained if his hair was still coming out with light petting I would not be happy. I was told he would be ready in 3 hours and they would call. An hour later they called and said he was ready. I initially believed the process had worked after petting his back and paid the $65. I continued to pet him and lots of hair was coming from his neck. I asked if they could brush him some more. The manager said that it would irritate his skin too much. At this point I was the one who was irritated! I asked to speak with owner and he agreed to brush him. The groomer came to the front and removed several hand fulls of hair from his neck. When I asked him to be shaved the manager told me it was a two stage process and gave me. a voucher for "free" desheading. When I returned in two weeks she told me that it would cost $50 to bathe him but the desheading was free. I then returned home disgusted. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I brushed my carpet with pet hair brush when I first took him and then again in 2 weeks. I've been using Riverside Grooming for a couple of years to have my cat Bubbi groomed and they always did a great job. They also have complemented the cat on being so patient and easy to groom. Unfortunately this time, we had a similar experience as other Yelpers in that my cat was terrified to be there. They ended up calling me early and asking me to pick her up because she was so upset her heart was beating rapidly and she soiled herself. This has never happened here or at any other groomer that Bubbi has been to. The groomer still did a fairly good job given the circumstances, but something definitely has changed if animals are suddenly afraid to go there. I hope they can work out whatever the problem is. read more

Why she did not ask me what happened? Why just shut me up and get rid of me?? Why did she take her workers story and not even hear mine. There are always 3 things in a statement, their side, my side and the truth. I feel that I did not do anything for them to treat me like that. Anf why not talked to me when I picked my puppies up? I felt like an idiot. I never got some call from them after the incident! So I took my puppies not knowing I was going to get thrown out. Like the supervisor told me on the phone, they can deny service to anyone. Is that a reason, I think that I was mistreated on a simple matter that had no argumentsl, no explanation, nothing. To me, they made it into a big matter was because the worker was negligent when grooming my dog. The worker told me that Molly jumped of the table and had to run after her. Worker said that Molly begin going to the bathroom. They wanted to get rid of me thinking maybe I was going to make the incident into a big thing. I never thought of that, I was okay with that. But instead I got the bad end. I don't care of being denied services, there are plenty placed, but it's the actions taken. Recently started taking my elderly dog to Riverside Pet Grooming after a horrible experience at Pawlished Paws in Canyon Crest. I have now had two groomings so I believe it is safe to write this review. They are great for the following reasons: 1) They are open 7 days a week and even will pick up your pet 2) The owners are mature and have a respectful, honest attitude towards how they run their business, treat their customers and animals 3) They treated our dog with the utmost kindness, gentleness and care 4) The grooming was of good quality. Took our huskie to have his coat blown out, nail trim, and flea dip. We received a little care package from the staff along with five-star service when we dropped Max (our pooch) off, and when we picked him up he looked brand new! Kuddos to the staff, they were busy, huskies are not easy to groom due to their coats, ended up spending about $75 for his groom (not bad at all). Abby has been going to this place, I believe for 3 years? She loved receiving all bandanas. They are saved so I can make a quilt. At first, she was all fine entering the building. But for the last two appointments, she started to be terrified, I wonder why. They did great w the summer clip. The price was somewhat high, to compare with other service for $35; same cut. This cost me $45 plus tip. $10 difference. Other than her cut, I would recommend this place. Current Update: Since November 2017, Abby came home after being groomed, she showed severe signs of anxiety and refused to sleep for one week. She became very clingy all of a sudden like I mentioned above when I first reviewed. However, her anxiety after being groomed became severe to the point she cannot sleep on her own. I had to rock her so she can sleep. She was sent again to the groomer on March 15th. It was the worst service ever. They forgot to dip flea on her TWICE. I had to come back next day to have her dipped with flea. Anyway, she came back home with itchiness, a minor cut on toe. Next day, she started rubbing her anal on the floor and noticed several hives around her vagina so assumed it was her vagina that she wanted to itch by rubbing. She still showed a sign of anxiety. One week later, her toe appeared to be very red so I took her to the vet to address this. She was prescribed for antibiotics ointment. I did not address her rubbing her anal at this time. This morning I took her to vet once again for her toe and find out why she continued to rub her anal. It turned out that her anal glands were FULL!!! That explained why she continued rubbing for two forkin weeks. The vet said the groomer should have done. Clearly, the groomer did not do the job just like they forgot to dip my dog with flea! And her toe had abscess so they had to flush her toe. Where did the abscess come from is being questioned. I am not going to send Abby to that one. I am seeking a new groomer for Abby where she can be fully pampered and ensure that she receives appropriate services, not to forget small details like anal sac and flea dip! My heart is broken because Abby has been going to this one for more than 7 years or so however, the services there appear to get worse for whatever reason. read more

Wow they did an Awesome Job on my dog Holly. She had her nails painted and they even put a jewel on her nail and put on a Barbie bandana on her. She came out looking fabulous and smelling GREAT! Her coat was so soft. The prices were great, they didn't try to sell me more stuff, they even have a self service wash but I stuck with the Full service wash and I'm so glad we did because Holly looks GREAT! I have been bringing my two dogs here for about a year and a half, I really didn't have much to complain about. However the last 6 months the haircut my dogs have been getting have gotten worse every time. They have come home with spots shorter then other spots and on one of my dogs they even cut her nails so short you could tell she was bleeding. I over looked that accidents happen. This last time they did not even cut there nails at all after I called to speak to a manager they were not there and I was told someone would call me back and I never received a call back. And I had to take a day off of work because now they close in Saturday's this was definitely a waste of time and $127.00. read more

The last time we took her I brought in a pic off the internet to show how I want my dog to look eventually. One of the groomers got up from grooming another dog to look at the picture I brought in. He explained to me what kind of cut it was and gave me some general info about the cut. He was very informative, and when I picked up my pup 3 hours later she looked exactly like the pic. Well I have been going to this place and entrusting them to take care of my 3 different pups ok some are older still my pups anyway I have seen service depletion over the years but today was the last straw. Upon taking my husky in for a bath and brush (winter coming) she was return to me completely shaved and charged $108??? Apparently they nail you an extra $20 for not bringing each dog in every 6 weeks. ??? So what they are doing is penalizing you for it? Are you serious I can't believe this it is like hidden fees from an airline lol. I brush and bath my dogs for as many times as I'm able and when it's time THEN I take them in so now they want you to pay extra for not bringing them in, within their MANDATED TIME FRAME???? So let's review that's approximately $3600 a year in grooming fees their way, DON'T think so. Voted best back in 2013 but 4yrs later their done. The increases in fees and don't do what you ask is inexcusable. read more

This review was for back in December. I had an appointment with a different groomer who never showed up or called to inform me that they were not going to show up. I called this location who luckily told me that they had a opening if I can go straight there. I was very grateful as this was super late notice. I show up and the place is very clean. Workers are very nice. Everyone is wearing a mask. I was a new customer and they treated me very nicely. I will be going there from now on. Prices are fair and affordable.
