We did a pack of 6 private classes and loved it so much we signed up to continue with group classes after graduation. Our puppy has THRIVED under the lessons with Robert and we are so proud to be graduates of his training. I explained to her that I was showing them different things to buy, and that they just spent a lot of money there. she said "yeah, no, sorry, it's a conflict of interest to train your dog here." disgusting. will not be back and will make sure every client I have doesn't go there. why would they go there if they can't even train their dog while there??! The worst experiences I've ever had with a vet clinic!!! I was quoted $270 over the phone, and because I wanted to be sure, I asked multiple times to confirm the price before making the appointment. The vet didn't even take the time to examine my dog correctly. She asked me about my concerns, barely touched her, and that was it, yet I was still charged for a "checkup". She also forgot to administer a required deworming treatment, which meant I had to go back again. This is especially frustrating because of the timeframe I had, and that she had told me she had experience handling this type of paperwork. For all this, I was charged more than $1,020. When I questioned it, I was told the person who gave me the quote was "from outside" and that the prices had changed over the weekend. Then, when I called again, I was told the recording of the call was actually coming from inside the veterinary office. So which one is it??? On top of the ridiculous price issue, there were multiple mistakes throughout the process, which meant extra trips, unnecessary stress, and absolutely no sense of accountability. Every time I tried to get answers, I was passed from one person to another instead of anyone actually taking responsibility and helping me. If you use this place, get EVERYTHING in writing! read more

This store is one of two Petco's I frequent regularly for over a decade. Overall, the Pasadena location is my favorite. Reason being, it's one of the bigger store formats among Petco's. And further, the staff is the most consistent. I have gotten to know a few of the staff including Alyx and Nicholas. They have helped me countless times when I stop by for in-store pickup orders or just a random stop-in for something I ran out of. Just the nicest people who love animals. I've only had positive experiences at this store and with everyone who works there. Inventory on hand is also usually consistent/good. They do seem to run out of doggie shampoo/conditioner more than other products I usually look for, though. Not sure why. The parking lot is a bit small but that is outside of their control due to the layout of the plaza in which Petco is located and shares with other businesses. My bf & I live in Encino & we always come out to Pasadena. This review is primarily regarding the Petco grooming service. We have been using them for the last 4 years and have received wonderful service from everyone. Our primary groomer is Alex and he provides excellent service for our two Boston Terriers. Our female is rather timid so he is very kind and gentle with her and our male is very rambunctious and playful and he does a great job of handling him too. Our dogs love Alex and get excited when they see him. In fact, my male gets so excited he tries to jump over the gate to get in when we arrive. When Alex has been unavailable we have used other groomers and they have done well too. One time we had an emergency (my male had a seizure while being groomed) and it was handled expertly. We were very luckly that Vetco is located right next door so a veterinarian was called in to assist with the situation right away. I now use Vetco for their vaccines and wellness checkups too. It is also convenient to have the store right there so I can pick up supplies for them while they are being groomed. They have a good variety of pet food and supplies. Another convenient feature regarding the store is being able to order online and pickup in the store. read more

However, this is the third time where I've come in and purchased a bunch of small items including cans of dog food and bags of treats, interact with a cashier that is deadpan and supremely distracted, and then does not help out by bagging the products I'm buying to get me out the door faster...and believe me I know you want the customer turnover because I know the cashiers have other duties. It's the most bizarre thing. Yes, I bring in my own bags because I'm cognizant of the environment. But I don't ever recall a cashier's duty not including bagging the products being bought by a customer. And I worked retail customer service for almost a decade. The staff is amazing, especially Dr.Sharp! We brought our miniature dachshund to see her a handful of times now and we've only had great experiences. The staff has gone above and beyond making sure our pup is okay. I always know what's going on with my dogs health. If I don't understand something, it gets broken down in a way that I can. For example, my dog may need to be put under anesthesia for a tooth extraction. This was something we were a little nervous to do. Let me tell you that this place makes it unbelievably hard for you to get your dog groomed here. Save your money and your time and go to a decent groomer. I called in advance in the morning to find out what they needed to get my dog groomed here and frankly all I needed was an anal gland expression, a very straight forward process and they said I just needed my proof of vaccinations. When I came in, I brought my vaccinations and according to them, a handwritten copy from the vet wouldn't suffice. They needed it to be printed, which my vet was closed already at that time. I wasted my time coming in here, didn't get to get my dog groomed, both the manager and the front desk at the grooming kiosk was not helpful, didn't offer any solutions, and all they did was keep repeating themselves. I came in today, July 15 around 6:30 PM, and left super disappointed. Me and another lady were standing in line for about 10 minutes while one of the employees, a guy with glasses, was casually chatting with a customer about her cat like there was no one else waiting. I totally understand being friendly. That's great when the store isn't busy. But there were clearly customers waiting and he didn't even acknowledge us. On top of that, another employee was just standing around talking to other customers instead of helping move the line. It honestly felt rude and unprofessional. After waiting that long with no one even looking our way, I gave up and went back to my car without buying anything. I don't even know if I want to leave a three star review from how sick I felt with the calculated disrespect I just went through here but I've been helped by other employees who were genuinely really nice to me. The guy with the black framed glasses and spiky hair that was working between the hour of 4-5 was really messed up. I was waiting for nearly an hour and didn't get helped which was fine since I was just looking at the fish and he seemed busy. I ended up asking for help after 30 minutes and he said to give him a couple of minutes. I said no worries take your time. He ended up coming back to help someone else who came waaay after me. I thought no worries since the guy was an elder. The employee did not end up coming back and my bf was checking out for cat treats. He saw him just chatting and laughing it up with his friend at the register which I thought was fine. The guy scoffed when my bf mentioned how I was waiting for sometime even prior to me asking for help. He pretended to walk to the fish section then walked outside to take his 10 minute break. Legit lighting a cigarette right in front of the entryway. What bugged me even more was him looking straight at me and getting in his car. I don't know what was going on with this guy but I would not trust him around any pets if this is how he treats people who are legit polite. I stormed out of there from how mad I was. Yes, fun- they distracted our dogs to take that perfect holiday photo! She is a rescue dog, a little miracle, sweet one and she has a terrier look and personality. I chose Petco because it was close from my house. I dropped Ginger and the lady in charge told me "Teddy bear face, right?" Yes, right. How could I know that a groomer doesn't have any idea that he has to respect the animal breed's look. When I picked up Ginger she looked like a chihuahua. And it seemed that she knew it! Hair cut close to the bone, little pointy face she never had before. This is the closest store to my home, the lack of carts makes it really difficult to shop in this store. Please Petco, purchase new carts. So they stop disappearing buy shopping carts with a locking devise so the carts become immovable if they go any further than the sidewalk directly next to the store. read more

Within the hour of ordering online, I get an email that says my order is ready for pick up. The only thing that's a bit challenging here is their parking.
