I used to go to the location in Glendale, but now this one is closer to me. I love this store because of all these new foods and vitamins for dogs, and that in Glendale they always take the time to talk to me about new products, and they always reassure me I'm not asking too many questions. But this store was so different. I came in with my husband and talked to a salesperson named Megan. She started off friendly, but I couldn't say more than 2 words without her cutting me off. She kept talking over me and telling me I need to get these supplements for my dog. It felt very pushy, and I tried to ask what they're good for, but she would not stop talking to listen. Finally I got to ask what the price was, the only thing she listened to, and it didn't seem like a good value to me, so I said I'd pass. She got snippy with me and said I should invest more in my dog's health if I cared about him. Very rude. I miss my Glendale store. But this one has cats for adoption and they are very cute. read more

My wife and I stopped by here today before grabbing dinner next door. We saw a very cute corgi that was there and we were allow to pet her. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I was worried about the parking in the back because I couldn't pay from the machine or through the app but the worker told me that they stop enforcing the time limit after 5pm on the weekday. I basically came in to this store so I can walk through it to get to the entrance of the restaurant we were eating at. But when we saw the corgi, we knew we had to stop and pet her. read more

This place is GREAT! My pup and I love coming here, him more than I, when we pass by this place on our walks. This is my go to place for my fur babies food, food toppers, treats, and shampoos. I have bought a couple toys from here, which are more on the pricier end. I've learned that with my two dogs tug & pull and toy and it will not survive in 3 days. So I have resorted to buying toys else where that fit my budget. BUT, I love the brand Taste of the Wild and he loves it too. I love how clean and organize it is here. And the staff are soo sweet and helpful. I remember bringing my dog, the staff gave me tips and trick and even played with him. It was really nice and comforting. I also LOVE that is plenty of FREE parking in the back! They have a self washing station that I would've love to try but my dog is just too happy and would want to just play with everyone and every dog on site mid wash. read more

I came in looking to buy some dog treats for my dog's birthday. I saw some photos that they had the Dog Bakery treats but I guess that was awhile ago as they don't have the fresh baked treats anymore supplied from the dog bakery (a dog bakery is a bakery in pasadena). Anyways they still had some pre-made cookies in the store I was able to get a cupcake cookie. They have larger sizes with some writing on them as well as some biscuits. The staff is very attentive always asking if you need help or if you're looking for anything. They carry absolutely everything you'd need for your pet it seems. I grabbed some probiotics as well as dental water. There is also a self wash grooming station. The store had no smell and is kept clean! Will be back again and prices are not marked up! read more

This Pet Food Express is located on Lake Ave, 2 doors down from Nick's South Late Avenue restaurant and across the street from CAVA. I have visited this store a handful of times with my little girl dog and pretty much every single time that we have visited, we have always purchased something for her. On our last visit, we ended up purchasing her these Canine Marketplace Chicken Chips. As our little girl is getting older, my husband and I started cooking all of her meals (she no longer eats any kibble. Honestly if you want to know, a lot of dog food out there is actually poor quality which actually could be a large contributing factor as to why your pups are getting sick. I have been told by a few veterinarians that if you were to cook for your dog, it would most likely eliminate most needs for any digestive issues and diet related problems that pets have). And because she is on a particular diet, we don't typically purchase treats for her anymore. But have discovered this brand of chicken chips, as the only ingredient is just chicken. Nothing else is included (Farm to Pet is a larger brand that also has single ingredient treats but surprisingly it is cheaper per ounce to purchase this brand). So we come here to purchase these chicken chip treats for her (surprisingly only a few places sell this brand online... and although we may rely so heavily on Amazon to purchase anything and everything, they don't sell this brand). She just loves these treats and I feel good knowing that I can give her these treats and that they are shelf stable (although we do make her chicken, it stays in the fridge. This is nice that I can pack some of these chicken chip treats in a small container and put them in purse so that I can have them on hand for her when we are out). We have also purchased other treats for our little girl in the past (when we were not cooking for her before) and have always had great customer service. We are always greeted by an employee, no matter if we enter in the front or the back. And also having a friendly employee who greets us and our little girl at the register. My husband usually gives our dog a bath here by himself, but I decided to go with him this time. The associate named Dean gave us the wash coin and our towels. There were a lot of people washing, but Dean took the time to dry off the counter and hand us aprons. I put mine back because usually he does the bath but thanked the associate anyway. Our pup is hairy and comes home wet still often because he does not like the blower, but Dean saw this and offered us more towels which was very nice. Dean also gave us the trick of tying a towel around his head to block the sound. It didn't work but it was very sweet and thoughtful that Dean wanted to make our dog more comfortable. He is usually shy around strangers, especially in the bath. Dean actually got him to take a chicken treat after he was dried, which was very impressive! He must have sensed this person was a good one and I think he was right. Thank you Dean!!! read more

The price range of wet cat food cans can go from $2-$4 each. It can get pretty costly. They also have carriers, beds, and scratching posts for sale. They also have a self serve wash area for your pet's! Its pretty awesome! Next to it, they have an adoption area where animals are up for adoption. It was a neat experience. I've always past by Pet Food Express but never had a chance to go in since I didn't have a pet at the time. I'm not sure but I love seeing everyone's little furry friend when I always go into a pet store and seeing how much their owners love them. I've only bought few meal toppers, treats and their self-service pet washes here. Was not disappointed with any of the purchases. From what I recalled, it's about $6 per wash (shampoo, rinse, dry + apron & towels). There is a deal in person and online where you buy 3 and get your 4th one free. This totals to $18 where it is about $4.50 for each use. At first, I did think it was pricey. I did the calculation and honestly, it was worth all my money! Sometimes, bathing pets at home are a big challenge especially if you have a pet that isn't the biggest fan of showers. This is also great for big animals. I never thought about how challenging it was for large dog owners to bathe their dogs at home. The bathing area has non-slip rugs and collar provided to connect to the latches on the wall (to prevent escape). Towels are provided as well even with the blow drying option after the wash. The blow dryer is very gentle with sound, which is great for not overstimulating your furry friend. One thing that stood out to me was the emergency escape button where anyone can press if a pet gets loose. This allows the doors to remain close to prevent any escape artist. read more

The store was very clean and the food and treats were all perfectly aligned...the store seemed instagram-worthy. And the employees were all very welcoming. Also, at the front-facing part of the store, there are bathtubs that dog owners may rent to bathe their dogs. Free, limited time parking is available in the back. While I thought the quality was nice, the price for a small bag of treats can really dent the wallet. I imagine the regular food will be the same. I didn't think it was possible to be disappointed by a self service dog wash but yet here we are. Save yourself the 20 bucks and wash your dog in your bathtub if you can, and if not, I would recommend any self service wash other than this one. Which is basically a wet your dog for 20 bucks without any soap kind of place... The soap comes out of the same hose that the water does (at the same time..) so it is essentially just foam that doesn't have any cleaning power whatsoever. If you'd like to brush your dog out before their bath or after, your only option is to either bring a brush with you, which you would know if you actually came here and decided that you want to come back... or purchase a brush there. Definitely would not recommend. Waste of money even for $10... read more

Not sure how I feel about this place yet. I came here twice and the first time I purchased 2 bags of Himalayan chews for my dog. Less than a month of purchasing the chews, some weird white stuff was growing and customer service had confirmed it was mold and kindly sent me a PDF of my receipt so I may return it. I stopped by a couple days ago with both bags of chews (only 1 had been opened but I don't want to risk the other bag getting moldy so I returned both) and also purchased some other items to make up for the return that wasn't my fault. After I got home, I realized my returns were scanned but the credits did not apply to my purchase. I've since contacted customer service to review my receipt and there has been zero reply. read more

Every time I come here I have a good experience, but i usually know what I am getting and just pop in and out. Yesterday I went in with my dog who has been super itchy lately and spoke with a woman who was very knowledgeable about what could possibly be causing the issue, and she helped me pick out some products to reduce my girl's discomfort. I gave my dog a bath today using skout's honor honeysuckle probiotic shampoo and am happy to report that she is less itchy, less stressed, and soooo soft and shiny. this post is strictly limited to my online order experience from this place. this place uses Doordash to deliver their product, and it's not the best, because they dont include tips in their doordash order the dasher mostly are irresponsible. I have my 25lb dog food stolen by the dasher.I went to pick up my dog food as soon as it has arrived and it is not there where the picture sent by the dasher, I quickly called the store's customer service the first thing that the person said wasn't apologizing. The customer serive rep blamed me not giving specific instruction of where to deliver it to but on their website there is no way to leave a specific instruction .If they could change their delivery system to in-house, I would consider using their service, but for now, I recommend sticking to in person pick up. read more

Nobody should ever experience this - I have shopped here many times until a recent visit. I have never experienced this as an American Asian until today (nor I hope that ANY person experience this regardless of race, age, creed, gender, etc.). I felt compelled to share my experience as I think there might be others who may have experienced the same here with this specific sales associate but just never said anything about it. I also saw a similar Yelp review posted referring to who I believe is the same associate. If not - then the store has a bigger problem in hiring and training. Long story short - I was blatantly ignored by a store associate standing 3 feet away from me. She looked me in the eyes three times with this "I am not going to help you" look and just kept training another associate until I just had to walk away - not even a "Hi I will be right with you". I contacted "Derek" the Store Manager and he seemed just speechless when I shared my experience with him, he did not even ask for my name nor asked which associate it was in the store but just said "he would take care of it" - he was definitely not trained to handle guests properly. Well the same bad employee sarcastically said to me "thank you - have a great day" on the way out... sadly the general manager did not know how to handle such situation when I had addressed it with him again - he just looked dumbfounded. I also submitted a complaint to their corporate office but still have not heard back. I love to support local neighborhood smaller businesses (even though still a chain). I still had pet needs that day so I drove to Petsmart in Pasadena (Hasting Ranch) and I probably experienced the best customer service that I have ever experienced in a pet store (Centinela Feed in Pasadena is also awesome). From a friendly greeting, uber helpful Petsmart associates, great friendly cashier and even the friendly store manager standing near the entrance/exit greeting and thanking customers. Wow - what an extreme different experience only 30 mins later. Thanks for reading my review as I seldom leave a negative review - but felt compelled to speak for others who may have also experienced this at this store location. Best self-service dog wash in town! This is the best self-service dog wash facility I have EVER used. The area is open and made of a raised ceramic-tiled areas with terrazzo baths. The baths are open so that you're not working inside a metal box like dog baths that are used in most places. My dog is so much less anxious using those baths than the baths at other grooming places, plus there are windows so there is natural light and you can see outside as you work. VERY VERY nice. The store and staff are also great. LOTS and LOTS of great products for dogs, from food (of course) to shampoos, to brushes. Everything under the sun. The staff is helpful and friendly as well. Free parking behind or on-street parking. The only annoying thing is that it's very hard to get parking close-by at lunch because of of a gym next door which attracts so many people they fill they entire parking lot from quite a bit before until well after lunch time. That gym does impact a lot of businesses due to their overcrowding. So you may want to avoid PFE at lunchtime. read more

We had a great experience at this location. We have 2 cats who shower every few months. They both do well with showers, but we were a bit nervous because we weren't sure how they would do if other dogs were nearby, but they did great. There was a good amount of space between each shower spot which was great. There are plenty of showers and the staff there are very nice. We will definitely be returning customers. read more

I come here to buy my dog Frankie bacon flavored tooth paste and tooth brushes. They don't stock the wet dog food I buy for her but I like to buy their doggy baked goods. January 3rd was Frankies 6th birthday so I bought her a large sweet potato frosted cookie. She loved it and ate the whole thing. The store is always clean, organized and the staff have been helpful and friendly. I usually wash Frankie at home but one of these days I want to try bathing her here. I believe it's something like $18 per wash but the B3G1 applies here so it's totally worth it! Super easy to use, the dials are all labeled. They even have aprons to help keep you dry! My husky loves singing while he gets his bath, does your pet do the same?? Pet Bakery - So after every bathing session, I always stroll my pup in front of the bakery window so he can choose his 4 baked goods for being an awesome bather! The treats ALWAYS look fresh and delish and Bobasaur absolutely LOVES them! B3G1 applies here so go crazy! Taste of the Wild Dry Food - my pup LOVES this stuff! I thought the only other place that sold it was Petco but it's here and at the same price! Actually, way cheaper if you factor in the B3G1. That's right, the promo works on Bobasaur's favorite food brand too! Unhide Chews - i love these things for Bobasaur! They're super safe and super tasty with flavors ranging from venison to peanut butter! I buy the smallest ones and even those last my pup like 30 minutes! They're freaking great, and even better with the B3G1! The staff is always super nice and helpful, I'm always greeted upon walking into the store and within 5min of being in there someone usually walks up to check in in case I need something. They always give Bobasaur a yummy treat at checkout too! His fave so far has to be that delicious rabbit treat they gave him during our last visit. He went crazy for it!
