Manager Katie and employee Ashley were amazing. Prior went to petsmart in Rancho Cordova and had a bad experience with getting service. These two employees went above and beyond a 5 star award. Very impressed as they care about customers and their pets. read more

This is a clean, well organized Petco. I mention this because I have been to a lot of Petco's that are a huge mess. The staff pretty much leaves you alone but that's OK. If you're looking for super friendly service, try a PetSmart. Anyway, this Petco has a large selection of dog food which is what I needed. read more

This is my favorite petco to go to. Staff is friendly, and helpful. I have had issues with a heater before for my fish tank and they were great about handling it. I always can find the cat supplies I am looking for and am always greeted when I walk in. Store is clean and whenever the lines are fairly long they make sure to call for a back up cashier. Updating my review, was at Petco yesterday and needed help in aquatics. They were very busy, but when I was helped he was great! Answered all of my questions and gave me all the help I needed. I purchased a beta, and two frogs and I am very happy. I was very impressed with the help I received! read more

This is one of the smaller Petco's for fish selection but on the up side they have a very friendly group of people working there always helpful and courtious, we also buy our dog food there for the best price in town not to mention they send me coupons all the time in the mail for things I buy on a regular basis, great marking if you ask me. read more

Petco, like any big named store is great for certain things.. I have two big dogs, they visit the grooming department every month and we are always treated extremely professional. My dogs love going, they always come out looking great, smelling great and are happy.. I buy my turtle food, dog leashes/collars and treats at Petco but I get food at a smaller pet store because its a little cheaper then what Petco has it for. Over the years, I have seen a few bad employees working there, some are still there and some are not... If you are a regular like myself, you get to know which employees are the go to's and which are not... read more

Great store. Has everything here too. Nice, large, clean, great service. Lots of shared parking. Quick checkout.

every visit i've had to this petco has been a different experience. i have two bearded dragons and i've shopped for products for them here for a few months. a few of your staff, mareesa and jesse, have helped me numerous times and has been helpful each time. great employees with a lot of knowledge of reptiles. my main complaint is last time i came in i ordered 50 large crickets. i usually purchase their live food at the Serpentarium in Roseville but i was in a pinch that day and had to buy from petco. an employee named issac helped me with crickets and but a bad attitude. it didn't bother me much but it was a little irritating. anyway, i fed each of my bearded dragons 25 crickets each and they BOTH got internal parasites. i'm very disappointed with the quality of petco's crickets especially since they made both of my beardies incredibly sick. read more

Susie is back! Lov the job she does on our Buddy!

On Superbowl Sunday - took Copper for bath & brushing.. Corgi's can be hairy :) They did a great job of cleaning, brushing & trimming his nails. He was done and ready to be picked up before kick off. Thanks! read more

I love this Petco. When I got my GSD for my birthday they were super helpful. They got me everything I need, including training scheduled with Chris, she is awesome too. The grooming people are awesome and have always did a great hi on Tank, not like other Petco's around them. They are always helpful, kind, courteous, and just over all wonderful group of people. Even though I moved and they are a little out of my way, I will drive me and my dog out there just for the people and the experience I get. read more

I always enjoy going to this Petco! It is always clean and the people are friendly and knowledgable.

I've lived across the street from this store for 10 years and every time I go in(1-3 times a week) the staff is nowhere to be seen, slow to help and the nice cashier is the only one smiling. Tried to get a job here for 3 years now(I'm over qualified) and have never heard from them.... even tho every time I go in it looks like they hired someone new! I now go to petsmart much farther away. They've lost my business read more

I want to add a rave review of the PetCo at Madison and Hazel in Fair Oaks. My dog LOVES to go there! He has had various "stylists," and they are all warm, friendly and very professional. They take the time to work with his sensitive skin issues, and Indy always looks, and smells, terrific when he is done. read more

The people who work at this store are terrific! I've been taking my dogs for grooming and training at the Petco on Madison in Fair Oaks for about 10 years. My dogs love love love Clayton, Stephanie, Danica, Kris and Karen. And, I think they are pretty cool too! I highly recommend this store! read more

Took my two year old GSD for a grooming appointment this afternoon. Chelsea was the young women who groomed my sweet girl. LOVE Chelsea . She made me feel comfortable with leaving my dog with her to groom, she was kind to my dog and treated her well. My dog usually isn't keen on going to the groomers but didn't act stressed with Chelsea. I plan on returning the next time I need my girl gussied up. read more

Been here numerous times for toys etc. the one time I need my dogs nails trimmed at 2pm on a Saturday, I walk into their grooming area and a gentleman stated "I'm going to tell you what I told her" (the customer leaving saying she will never return) we don't have time to trim nails. We can do it on Tuesday. Asked really you don't have time that trim 10 nails. NO!!! He a stated as rude as he could come across. I said then I don't have time to shop and spend any money here and left. I will never return. Another lost customer like the lady just before me. Good job! You should make $15 an hour. read more

Isaac was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave me an excellent recommendation and wasn't trying to sell me on expensive products. Truly exceptional customer service at this location, which is difficult to find nowadays! read more

The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I bring my frenchie here to her her nails clipped and ears cleaned. They are so nice towards me and my dog. I really really like the manager. Her and I bonded over our love of dogs especially our frenchies. Their staff always comes up and pays my dog attention and I got a lot of great tips for my frenchie from the manager. Love coming here! read more

Well I've never used their grooming, so I can't speak to that. All the staff has been very nice. The selection of high quality dog food, and reptile supplies keep me coming back. read more

I am giving them 5 stars for the beta fish I purchased from them about 6 months ago. This betta is so interactive & healthy. Ever since we got him he's been watching us. He always swims around to keep us in his view. He lives in a much larger than average bowl with a live plant, so maybe that helps. Anyhow, when we picked him out they had so many very pretty bettas to pick from - varieties I had never seen before. I remember thinking whoever their breeder is, they are doing a great job. read more

Terrible service. I own a 100 pound German Shepherd so obviously I cant wash him in the kitchen sink or really anywhere in my house. That is why I was happy to learn that Petco had a self serve dog washing service. Just before thanksgiving when we were about to embark on our annual cross country car trip, I wanted to give him a bath so he was nice and clean for the trip. I got off work around 5:30 and on my way home I called Petco to find out what time the self wash station was open until. They said 8:00. I rushed home through traffic to grab my dog and some supplies like shampoo (Because the shampoo that they provide is so watered down that it wont even lather). After that we walked out the door and arrived at Petco at 7:10 and they said it was closed for the night and that we couldn't wash our dog. I would highly recommend going somewhere else to wash your dog. read more

I have been coming to this Petco off and on for years, but only on rare occasions using the grooming salon. My regular dog groomers changed location, and so I needed to find someone near home. I began bringing my two to this Petco last Spring, and are they ever great! I usually have Susie and/or Clayton, and the dogs love them. Back on the Fourth of July, we were returning from a two day tent camping trip, and both dogs were filthy. I phoned ahead on that morning, and they were able to take both dogs on the spur of the moment. I realize I was very lucky, but anyway, I brought them in and two hours later . . . they looked like two doggie models upon pickup! I was thrilled, and my 4th was saved, as we were having a potluck later, and really didn't have time to do the job ourselves, and they wouldn't have looked (and smelled) half so nice if we'd done their baths ourselves. Thank you Fair Oaks Petco - and big up to Susie and Clayton! read more
