Customers in the store were also nice folk. They had the healthier dog foods that PetSmart doesn't carry which attracted me to check out the store. Sadly, I found the prices there to be well above other family owned pet stores in other towns. The bag of dog food that I was looking for was $20 more than another store. The at home allergy test kit was $20 more than purchasing online which had free shipping. I would love to shop here, but it's worth driving to another town due to the amount of mark up at Braxton.

I always find the staff incredibly kind and professional--they deserve ten stars. However I feel some customers who come to use the self-serve dog bath are "abusing" the facility. If you have a big dog that sheds like crazy and you don't really know how to do it, you should spend more money and send the dog to a professional groomer. It doesn't feel right when you need to use 20 towels and make a huge mess. The self-serve dog bath isn't meant to be used in this manner. This is just my honest opinion. I truly feel sorry for the store and staff in that kind of situations. I know it's hard for Braxtons to come up with a policy about what kind of dogs can use the self-serve bath (which would definitely causes backlashes), but people should have known better.

I enjoy the little events that are held however, the dog training area needs improvement. It is difficult as a shopper to look at cat food options for a finicky little one when there are untrained dogs of all sizes running toward you. The trainer tells the people and dogs to wait but it feels like I better hurry up since I'm interrupting their session. I don't get why any one would want to receive dog training at PetSmart but alas. The shelves are well stocked but most cashiers are slow here. There are no self checkouts so you may need to kill time. The cats are very adorable and the birds are delightful!

I waited all day for a call. At 3pm, I was asked if I received an earlier voicemail -- I did not. There was no missed call or voicemail. Instead of apologizing, I was told "it's okay," and then told a note was made claiming I was called when I wasn't. Another employee issued a $20 credit with no explanation. It also doesn't even look like my dog was properly groomed, which makes the situation worse. The only bright spot was the cashier, who handled the situation professionally, sincerely apologized, listened, and actually acknowledged the issue. If everyone else showed that level of customer service, this would have been a very different experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

I was told she had a tooth infection and a double ear infection. I had them administer the injectable antibiotic (that didn't change her condition and I had to get an oral antibiotic at the follow up appointment) I was told, 'she doesn't have fleas but she should be on a flea med'. I said, she's an indoor cat. Dr. Brown said, she can still get fleas. Needless to say, I rejected the $147 90 day supply of flea meds! Notice I didn't mention the doctor prescribed anything for her eye. I took her back 2 weeks later for a follow up appointment and her eye was the same. Dr. Brown ran more test that were negative and then said, there are cat ophthalmologist. If she didn't know how to treat her initially, that's what she should have said. The following day the staff called for a follow up. I had researched things online and asked a question. I was told, I'd have to bring her back in for a follow up to have my question answered! WHAT?! It was a yes/no question AND she was just seen by the doctor the day before. A money grab. I do not recommend them. Proceed as you chose.

Their rewards program constantly earns credits you can save up or apply to purchases. Plenty of parking in their big lot. Accessible via SEPTA bus 109 too.

    I'm reeling with disgust for the way this store in Paoli, PA. treated me for a dog grooming…read more I had a 4:45 appointment this evening to groom my dog. My partner, kids and I called at 4:48 saying we are running a few min behind. The store said we have a 10 min grace window. We arrived 4:54 within the window. The grooming coordinator Devika was very rude and disappointed that we made it, and refused anyway saying she was busy - even though she said she saw us pull in on time. She had been trying to push a reschedule right from the beginning and shoved it onto us. We spoke to Store manager Sarah who seemed to sympathize - she spoke to the grooming coordinator Devika for 5 min and she returned saying that the issue is we are very busy so we can't take your dog. I was astounded - we followed the instruction made it through rush hour traffic and still made it and were being made a mockery of. We are a family, I took time off work, made it through rush hour on a Friday to be at the store - to be treated with a degree of nonchalance and astounding indifference to customer and situation that had me gobsmacked- I get the harried groomer, but the manager using being busy as an excuse is stunning!! I kept asking her what did I do wrong, which she could not answer. There is something very wrong with this- there is absolutely no fear of accountability which may be a much larger problem that could use leadership attention. I could also use some redress for the way my wife and I were treated. I don't usually use yelp for anything but food but I'm outraged enough that I I feel you should hear of this incident. We have reached out to many levels of their management as well so there is better chance of someone getting back. Looking at other ratings of the store in recent times we are not alone in this. For the record, Sarah refused to be on audio or camera recording in her position, as per Petco policy!

    I took our 7lb cavapoo in for a monthly grooming with my 4 and 5 year old boys…read more Groomer at first refused to take the dog because he allegedly didn't have "rabies paperwork ", except he did as it was dropped off in last months appoint. Groomer was appalled she actually had to do her literal job and look something up, then hesitantly took the dog. My dog meanwhile is so nervous he peed on the floor and she lunges at the animal and he nipped at her UNDERSTANDABLY. She then refused to groom the animal and after a talk to the manger they still wouldn't take him as he's "not safe". My kids were sad and my dog still needs a haircut. Absolutely THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A GROOMER in 7 years of dog ownership. It's amateur hour at this location, GO ELSEWHERE. UPDATE as of 4/11/25: My ex-wife went back to the store with the boys as she was so appalled when I relayed what happened. My son identified the groomer for her and she asked to speak to a manager. The General Manager had gone for the day, and the Assistant Manager was annoyed because a lady who was a customer there had just dropped off her dog and overhead the conversation and was concerned with my ex-wife (and my) expierence. My ex-wife told her not to take her dog to this location and the Assistant Manager told her "you can't say that sweeheart". My ex, obviously offended told him not to speak to her in that manner. This store and employees and management is OUT OF CONTROL at this location. I intend on contacting the Commonweath to file a complaint. Perhaps an attorney needs to get involved for sexual harassment. STAY CLEAR.

    I recently just went into the Vetco clinic at the Petco store. I have used this company services…read morefor their clinic for vaccinations and wellness checks. But I've never gone in and used the Vetco services. I was so pleasantly surprised with the service, the friendliness, the staff efficiency, and overall experience. I felt very inclined to create their profile here on yelp to share with others. I was one of the first clients to come in, and I also work with animal rescue folks. So I'm used to the day-to-day coming and goings of clinics, staff and emergencies as well. From the time I stepped in the door, I was greeted by such a a wonderful person, she was so pleasant, she greeted me and made me feel welcome. I believe her name was Misty, she is in charge of the customer check outs, billing and she also seemed to know quite a bit about the day-to-day operations of the facility. Mabel was the person who assisted us in the treatment room, prior to meeting our vet. All three of these individuals were exceptional. With the way they handled our appointment, the way I was spoken to was respectful and clear and the way that they handled the cat that I have brought in was just fabulous. They were gentle, smiling, welcoming, and the overall experience was a 10/10. Even when the vet walked in, her demeanor was so pleasant like she had all the time in the world to spend with my one animal, and it was important. All I was really, therefore was to get some blood work done, and they really treated her with gentle care and got her in and out of the clinic in great time. The facility is spotless, and I truly have decided that I am shifting my business to Vetco as a result. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Make sure your pets have their shots, if you are boarding them! They even have themed events such as "Toga Night" and "Backyard BBQ". For an extra $15 your pet will get some ice cream and you get his picture, having summertime fun! There are a bunch of add ons such as 30 minute 1-1 training sessions, Baths and salon service, relief walk time, extra attention before bed with photo and story, and extra play-time with photo. Wow what an awesome place for your pets!
