I explicitly said NOT to shave his beard and even showed a photo of Río with his freshly groomed beard for reference. His beard is his signature feature and he gets compliments on it almost every day. When I picked him up, the receptionist told me they had "accidentally cut the beard" and offered a 10% discount. While I was paying, she even asked if I wanted to leave a tip, which felt inappropriate given the situation. When I finally saw Río, his entire muzzle and face had been completely shaved down. It looked nothing like what we discussed, and I was honestly so shocked and upset that I started crying in the salon. When I tried to explain the situation to the owner, there was pushback from the receptionist about whether I had shown a photo. Regardless, I was extremely clear that his beard should not be cut and that's indisputable. They did refund me after seeing how upset I was, but the situation felt careless and dismissive. Río's beard was the most important part of the cut I asked for. I would not recommend Heartland and I won't be returning. I'm attaching photos of Río before (with his beard) and after the haircut so people can see the difference.
