Trish told me about their new Thera Clean service and how it works in aiding pets with skin irritation so they will stop licking. I brought my dog in for 5 sessions. Even after the first appointment, there was a marked reduction in the paw licking. It's been 5 months since her final session and she has not returned to licking her paws. Barkingham Palace is where we usually take her and they do a WAY better job and have a much better customer service.

I moved to NJ a few years ago and would still make the 3-hour roundtrips to Samantha from how much I loved the results and couldn't find anyone else who even compares. Long car rides are generally stressful for a cat, so I tried looking for a closer groomer. Nope. The "experienced" cat groomer I found nearby did a terrible hackjob on little Lulu bear, and for almost twice the price. Never again. I should add that last time I was at the Main Lion, Samantha did a PERFECT lioncut on Lulu in under 10 minutes! Samantha recommended that - because Lulita is so docile and the trip is so long and stressful - I should try to groom her myself. Samantha even gave me her personal clipper recommendations. I gave it a shot and while Lulu looked good on her back and belly, her upper legs were a little tricky to trim since the skin is a looser there and I didn't want to risk nicking the sensitive skin. It also didn't help that lulu is much more comfortable trying to escape with me than she is when she's at the groomer's (she has always become frozen with fear outside the house, which is so sad to see but honestly convenient when it comes to the groomer or vet needing to get things done on her). I'm going to continue looking for a closer groomer simply because of the distance, but I have a feeling I won't get the spectacular results Samantha would consistently deliver.
