This PetSmart is massive in comparison to some other locations and offers a wide variety of different pet supplies and food. I enjoy the little events that are held however, the dog training area needs improvement. It is difficult as a shopper to look at cat food options for a finicky little one when there are untrained dogs of all sizes running toward you. The trainer tells the people and dogs to wait but it feels like I better hurry up since I'm interrupting their session. I don't get why any one would want to receive dog training at PetSmart but alas. The shelves are well stocked but most cashiers are slow here. There are no self checkouts so you may need to kill time. The cats are very adorable and the birds are delightful! read more

Poor communication, lack of accountability, and disappointing results from the grooming department. I dropped my dog off at 10:48am and was told it could take up to 4 hours. I waited all day for a call. At 3pm, I was asked if I received an earlier voicemail -- I did not. There was no missed call or voicemail. Instead of apologizing, I was told "it's okay," and then told a note was made claiming I was called when I wasn't. Another employee issued a $20 credit with no explanation. It also doesn't even look like my dog was properly groomed, which makes the situation worse. The only bright spot was the cashier, who handled the situation professionally, sincerely apologized, listened, and actually acknowledged the issue. If everyone else showed that level of customer service, this would have been a very different experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

I dropped off my cat, Stella, here today for a "lion cut". I love taking Stella here because they're conveniently close-by, easy to book online, and always very friendly. One of Stella's siblings is an English Bulldog, so she's used to being around other dogs and does OK here. Her groomer today was Steven, but she usually went to Taylor. I'm not sure if Taylor still works here, but she always did a fantastic job and even kept a notebook for Stella's preferences. Stella is a longhaired cat and I took her for a haircut today; I was told it would take about 2 hours, but after 45 minutes I got a call that she was almost done; I picked her up and took her home. Once she was home, I realized her back leg had a huge chunk of fur between her legs that wasn't buzzed. I called Petsmart back and explained the situation, and they were super understanding and willing to fix the missed spot right away. I took her back and they were able to fix it within 5 minutes without charge. Steven was super understanding, kind, and apologetic. When Stella gets anxious, she tends to squeeze her limbs together like a loaf of bread; I 100% understand why this spot got missed, but I still wanted a perfect cut for my kitty. If your cat gets anxious easily and isn't okay with dogs, do not take them here; there will be dogs and they don't do "cat-only" days. My cat is very low-anxiety, and is currently sitting next to me as I write this review. She's used to living with dogs and doesn't get too-traumatized easily. DO NOT TAKE A CAT HERE IF THEY GET SCARED BY DOGS. Anyways, despite them missing 1 spot between her legs, I really appreciate Petsmart taking amazing care of my cat. Grooming cats can be very expensive and difficult to schedule, but I'm thankful that Petsmart is always willing to help Stella look and feel her best. Without her haircuts, she is unable to "groom" herself and is prone to infections. Ever since we've been scheduling her Lion Cuts, she no longer gets UTIs and smells like a flower :) Thanks, Petsmart! Stella and I will be back! read more

We booked a bath and brush for my 7 month old puppy. I put in the description that she was a very excited puppy. Not only does it not say anything about a 3 hour wait even if you have an appointment but we watched a walk in bath go before us. The woman when we came to pick up our dog seemed sooooo mad at my dog by telling the other employee to just have us put on her collar and harness and rolled her eyes as she handed her off with little no words about how she did. I was looking into puppy classes while waiting but now I definitely wont take my dog here to get groomed or trained. read more

We give this store a 5 star rating! They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about many aspects of their business! We were so surprised to hear that they have been building bridges between rescuing cats, and families, and doing this for charity. The people who run the cat rescue program are all volunteers and work shifts, the shifts are 3 hours long, so if anyone is a cat lover they really could use your help! They also have a grooming center on their property where they trim your dogs toe nails, clean their ears and give them a brush out. For additional money you can have your dogs hair feathered, all for under $60 dollar. They have a lot of cool dog and cat toys for Christmas. This is Petsmart store 570. This is the Walmart of pet stores. You don't come here looking for super high quality merchandise. The good news about this place is that chances are you're going to find a basic version of what you need. It won't be particularly expensive. These guys do grooming but I prefer to send my dogs to a place where they will get a more personalized experience. My wife and I visit this place from time to time. Petsmart has few options for the healthier, grain-free, top-quality foods vets recommend. Of the 3 brands we buy, Petsmart actually does carry one. While the former Devon Petsmart used to be awesome at supplying it, this doesn't happen at Broomall. Asking our nearest Petsmart (Broomall, now that Devon is gone) to correct this problem proved fruitless. So when the Broomall manager, Carla, was miserable to deal with, off to Petco we went. If it's a choice between online ordering with Petco, or Petsmart's manager acting like it's a pain to locate/stock a food they are supposed to have available but never do, I'll go to Petco. And, we'd given them prior chances. Another time we were told an order was filled / ready for pick-up, only to drive all the way there to find they goofed, and, oops, they don't really have it. Carla defensively claimed her inventory said they had it, but yet did nothing to actually materialize my order (which, again, they emailed me had been filled). When I asked her to correct the inventory so it didn't happen again (to me or someone else), she refused, citing that it would screw up what was on order from the supplier. It seemed like no prob at all to her that we wasted time and mileage to get to the store for nothing, and she also refused to provide a similar item as substitute for the missing ordered item. Carla basically wasted an hour of our night for nothing, offered no apology, and did nothing to fix things. There used to be a male manager here, and I am really sad I forget his name, because nothing was ever a problem for him; he was always proactive and pleasant. The former Devon store, too, had managers with that can-do attitude, and they showed us they WANTED our business. After two experiences with Carla, we now keep our Petsmart shopping to a minimum. We only go for cat litter, nothing else. Amazon has far better deals, delivered to your door for free. And I can't say Petco is problem-free, but it is more painless than Carla. read more

This petsmart takes exceptional care of their geckos, and from what I can tell, all of their animals. In most Petcos and Petsmarts, they are clueless about the care of many of their animals (especially the reptiles), and it is so sad to see how sickly they often are. Leopard geckos require very specific/specialized care, and the woman working at this location is a true expert and clearly loves her job. She was showing my kids a baby gecko they had, she asked us questions to make sure we knew how to care for our gecko...it's so rare to see this type of passion and commitment. Bought four rats there. We knew there was something wrong with them after just a couple days. A few days is long enough for kids to get attached. Store said our option was to return them for a full refund or have our vet check them out at our own expense. We chose the latter. We are three weeks out, and have discovered that the fecal sample showed a protozoan parasite in addition to tape work remnants! The poor things need to go on antibiotic. But my vet said that both are highly unusual for rats to have. We drove an hour to Broomall since they are one of the few "female" stores who carry rats. I've spent $300 bucks on these $10 rats so far. Smh I'm exceptionally disappointed these rats cleared the internal vet check. I'll never buy anything from them again and I question their "professionalism." Completely disgusted! read more

I stopped this Petsmart to pick up some pet food for my dog as I cannot get Science Diet anywhere else. I arrived around 9 am on Sunday. Techinically they don't open until later except for the groomers. The person who was stocking the shelves offered to help as I was loading a 33 lb bag into the cart. The cashier was the manager who says he opens the till to accommodate early birds like me. He offered to help me get the bag in the car. I didn't need it but it was nice of them to offer. I see other reviews that are not as positive, but I have to say that I got great service! One negative thing about this place is that even though it is in a strip mall and the last store, it doesn't have very many windows and for that reason it's very dark inside. The place is kind of creepy as a result as you go further and further into the store and there's less it was natural light in this very cavernous space. read more

While I will acknowledge that my complaint is for the company and not this particular store (although I purchased dog food at this location) I have to let dog owners know my experience. I purchased Simply Nourish chicken and brown rice recipe and when I opened the bag I saw that the food was covered in MAGGOTS. I was absolutely disgusted. I called the store and they were kind and offered a refund, which I got. However, no effort was made to make sure the product was checked and pulled. I've read countless reviews of other dog owners finding maggots in that same brand. Turns out, it is a Petsmart brand. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BRAND. I will no longer purchase dog food at all from Petsmart, I don't trust it. Since the store and the 800 number on the bag didn't seem surprised or interested, I have reported it to the FDA. read more

My dog Elvis has special needs. He is a rescue and is a little awkward around other people. The groomers at this Petsmart are awesome with him. They let me hold him while they clip his nails. He squirms and cries but they put up with it the whole while with a smile on their faces. I apologize for not knowing their names but one groomer with black hair and short bangs always helps us out. You can tell she knows what she is doing and is really gentle with our pup! Even though Elvis hates getting his nails clipped I would never take him anywhere else for fear that I might not receive the same service. To be able to hold him while they clip his nails for me is above and beyond helpful. I just wanted to take the time to make note of the great groomers at this location. read more

My dog has a slight limp after exercise and today I took him to get his nails done after a run. The groomer refused to take him because he had " a pre-existing condition". An appeal to the manager gave me no satisfaction. I found a nice nail grinder on Amazon that will be delivered tomorrow and from now on it's Chewy.com for me!! read more

If I could give their groomers a 0 out of 5 I would. HORRIBLE groomers. I've sent my dog in twice now to get a bath/have his nails clipped and BOTH times he has come back with his nails not clipped. Their excuse "he doesn't like it". So not only do they up sell you on their nail shaving, but their grooming package includes clipping of their nails. I will be demanding a refund as this is ridiculous. I also witnessed this groomer put a dog on the floor to answer a call and the dog eating hair off the floor. Terrible groomers! read more

I had the most miserable experience with one of their employees. I walked in with my puppy I had adopted the day before. I intended on getting a few toys and some treats for the puppy. This woman followed me around the whole store and tried to shove products on me. I cannot stand when employees do this. If I need help I will approach you. Do not follow me around for half an hour and roll your eyes at me because of the products I chose. I'll never come back here. read more

The fish in this store are either always dead or are immediately going to die upon purchasing. They don't know how to take care of their fish. The employees seem like they really don't care about customer satisfaction. I recently bought a filter for my fish tank, which turned out to be broken, I took it back and got another...also broken. Pricing is deliberately deceptive as on-line/pick up in store prices are very different than pricing in the store. Items in the store are not clearly marked as to price. Many of the fish are frequently diseased as well. The tanks are poorly maintained and the quality, attitude and knowledge of the staff is also poor. I would advise all to go a REAL fish store. I spend a lot of money on aquarium related but I will not spend another dime here as I have been disappointed every time..... read more
