It's important for me to make progress with my dog, so I Googled alternate options and stumbled upon Alex's page. I called him on a Friday and he picked up the phone right away. We spoke for a while about my needs and he came out the following Tuesday for what was supposed to be a 2-hour visit. I fell in love with him immediately, he is not only so personable and likable on his own, but he really takes the time to LISTEN to what you need and work on those things right away. I had mentioned my priorities to my previous trainer, but I found that she was teaching my dog commands that didn't actually accomplish what I was after. In our first meeting, Alex worked on SO MANY of my priorities. He got my dog to go into her crate on command, taught her to "stay," showed me how to "walk with" my dog better on her leash, and (using a 30' leash outdoors) started working on recall with her. We were so immersed in what was going on that Alex started to go a little bit over our time, but he didn't want to stop because we were making such great progress. I told him if he wanted to give me a third hour right then and there that I was prepared to pay for it, and he did!! I learned a lot of things from Alex myself during our first meeting, like how to employ the use of "deltas" (which my old trainer never once mentioned) and how non-verbal cues are arguably more important than verbal ones. Again, my old trainer actually discouraged me from using hand motions, but once incorporating them into my routine I noticed that my dog was much more compliant than she had been. Another positive difference between my old trainer and Alex is he really takes the time to teach you why he's doing what he's doing, and encourages you to participate. My old trainer just taught my dog a command and had me replicate/practice when she left. Alex really makes you feel like you are a part of the teaching process. After our private session Alex recommended some "Small Group Therapy" for my pup. He came at noon on a Thursday to pick up my dog and she proceeded to go on a several-hour outing with his two chihuahuas and a dog he was fostering. The entire time he was out with her he was recording and sharing videos on an iCloud album. It was INCREDIBLE to not only see everything that was happening, but to hear him narrate why he was doing the things he was doing. I could not get enough of his videos and felt like I was there during the session. On top of Alex's excellent communication, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, competency, and effectiveness, his rates are OUTRAGEOUS in the BEST way! I truly believe he is under-charging for his services. I can get three hours with Alex for less than I paid for one hour with my prior trainer, and I feel much better about the work that is done during that timeframe. I adore Alex, and most importantly, what he is doing works. He really gets into the mind of your dog, and has such a wonderful way of connecting with them and their needs. I am elated to keep our work going - my pup has lots more Small Group Therapy outings in her future and it's wonderful that I have the option to use him one-on-one to teach her even more commands in the house. One day I hope to move on from essential commands to more fun ones, like "roll over" or "go get X toy."

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. Andrew at PetsAreInn was our pet's guardian angel, and we will look forward to using his service without hesitation going forward.

Jenny came to my family highly recommended by my aunt and it was the best decision we have ever made using Faithful Friends. To speak to the extent Jenny goes and her genuine love and willingness to take care of her "clients", our older pup is about 7 and has always been incredibly anxious particularly during thunderstorms. While we were in Florida this past week, a huge storm came through and not only did Jenny make sure to monitor its progress to ensure our pup got his anxiety medicine in time for relief but when the power went out, she went out of her way and far past the time she was paid for to bring over battery powered lights and set them up around our home to get the animals through the power outage most comfortably. She sat with both our dogs for a while giving them lots of love before heading home to her own family sending pictures and updates the entire time. I can not say with more certainty that my experience was incredible and our family LOVES Faithful Friends Pet Care and will continue to utilize their services in the future

It was the first time since Red was a puppy that we put him in a kennel. 6 days into the first week, we get a call from the kennel saying that Red was viciously attacked by another dog in the kennel. Long story short.. the kennel took the best care of Red as far as the vet, surgery and everything else. Needless to say, we weren't going back there again. When we found Bedminster Canine Kamp, we started taking Red every Monday, just to get him used to other dogs again. They are so awesome with him, and he absolutely loves going. Plus he's back to his old self again. We went away a few weeks ago, for 1 week; just to see how he does at "Kamp" and they say he did fantastic!! After our ordeal, I…read morereported them to the dog warden who based on our photos, timeline, and our dog's vet record said it warranted an investigation. She reported that when they went there for an unannounced investigation, everything was to code so at that point, there wasn't much more we could do. I'm just glad that they took it serious enough to look into. As I had mentioned in my original post, which you can read below, the owners will try to twist things and put the blame back on the dog's owners. From my post on Nextdoor (if you live in Buck County, you can look up my name on Nextdoor to see the post from 2 years ago and read through the many responses of people sharing their shocking experiences with Holiday House), I have since learned that lack of care - to say the least - is not atypical. People posted about wrong dogs being returned, dogs coming back traumatized, dogs being returned extremely ill, and even one poster sharing that their dog died in while being boarded there. If you care for your pet, do not use this place. It's been a couple of years since our horrible experience boarding our dog there, and to this day, we are all still scarred by it and the memory of what our dog looked like when we picked her up, the thousands of dollars we spent to get her heatlhy, and her health issues she suffered from because of their lack of care for her basic well being. Also, our credit card company even reimbursed us for the fees we paid to Holiday House - again based on photos, timeline and medical records from out vet. They agreed that Holiday House did not provide the care they promised us.

She went through the chores with me and when I asked if she'd like to bring my mare in, she said yes without hesitation and confidently put her halter on and walked her inside the barn for her dinner. We started with four days that first week and by Thursday I asked if she'd be interested in doing M-F. I do the morning chores before work and she puts the barn to bed and sets me up for the next day with filling water and feed, cleaning the stall, collecting eggs and all the little things that need doing.
