The receptionist was great! She was patient with my questions to make sure our pup had all of the required documentation and she tried hard to get us scheduled for an evaluation right away. The behavior trainer was also kind and patient explaining how our pup's day went and everything she noticed. I was disappointed because our pup was declined doggy daycare. I was surprised to hear that there were 30 pound dogs playing with 75 pound dogs. I was also disappointed because I explained my pup's background in detail online when filling everything out, and it was clear that the trainer did not read that ahead of time. Among many things, it explained how our pup is leash reactive and keeping him in the caged vestibule for too long while all of the other dogs are jumping and barking on the other side and him not being able to join them frustrated him too much. And then in our discussion, I found out that the behavior trainer who did his evaluation doesn't usually even work in daycare and that she works in boarding. I'm obviously not happy that our pup was not accepted into their doggy daycare program, but one reason why I chose them is because of their focus on training. Yet, although I am not a trainer, there were some things that were not handled correctly in my opinion.

She groomed regularly and watched our first three dogs every time we went out of town at her previous place, and until recently groomed and cared for our German Shepherd girl, Sasha. Sasha was a very large and difficult dog yet Catherine was always very in charge and sweet to her, and made her look beautiful . Jenny came to my family highly recommended by my aunt and it was the best decision we have ever made using Faithful Friends. To speak to the extent Jenny goes and her genuine love and willingness to take care of her "clients", our older pup is about 7 and has always been incredibly anxious particularly during thunderstorms. While we were in Florida this past week, a huge storm came through and not only did Jenny make sure to monitor its progress to ensure our pup got his anxiety medicine in time for relief but when the power went out, she went out of her way and far past the time she was paid for to bring over battery powered lights and set them up around our home to get the animals through the power outage most comfortably. She sat with both our dogs for a while giving them lots of love before heading home to her own family sending pictures and updates the entire time. Use of an e-collar is minimal but recommended. Our Penny was transformed into a different dog. Attentive, willing to please, and obedient. No magic here. Just positive repetition and a knowledgeable staff (shout out to Michael and Gabby). Key is to enforce these methods at home consistently. She walks on the leash without pulling, will come from across the yard when her name is called, and now listens to commands such as "leave it" and "off". It's a commitment, but it is worth every "penny" (pun intended). Highly recommended.

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with BPF!…read more Before coming here, we had previously worked with another trainer and took group classes, but we just could not seem to get some basic manners down. When we started with BPF we could barely walk our 1 y/o Aussiedor Pepper. She would pull us almost to the point of injury, while lunging and barking at everything she saw. We could not walk within 40ft of another dog, animal, or bicyclist or she would become extremely reactive as well. I would be in tears most days after our short walks. Initially, she was also not very friendly towards any other dogs. After speaking with Michael, we decided to sign Pepper up for the Excellent Dog Program for 8 weeks of private lessons. The first 6 lessons were in our home and neighborhood. We were shown different techniques, commands, and given training tools to make walks more enjoyable & relaxed for both Pepper and our family. We practiced our walking commands every day, starting with no distractions, and gradually working our way up. We noticed a difference right from week 1! Our final 2 lessons we were invited up to the beautiful BPF facility for Pepper to learn how to properly socialize with other dogs. She met 4 other dogs while Michael showed us things that should be corrected and body language to pay attention to when dogs our playing. Michael has such great knowledge and is very easy to talk to! We loved working with him. The skill-set & knowledge the Best Paw Forward team has provided us was phenomenal. We are now able to take Pepper on mile plus walks everyday, where we can pass whoever or whatever on the same sidewalk with never more than a minor tug of excitement. We have also been able to take her on some of our favorite local hiking trails! She has also now successfully been introduced to 4-5 new dogs in the neighborhood and will even play bow with a few of them. We could not be happier. We absolutely recommend this training team to anyone that listens! We cannot wait to work with them again in the near future when we bring home puppy #2.

His paws were groomed so perfect, the nails were cut evenly and his underneath pads were done beautifully. His red coat was soft and shiny and trimmed evenly on both his left and right side. This service allows us to get away on weekends and weekdays, go for extended vacations and last minute longer nights!!! We have used them for a few years and will NEVER go back to using a kennel! These are very conscientious individuals who all follow the same menu of checklists and live our babies, in spite of their each 'uniqueness.' (Read oddities!)
