So on a whim... and because diesel is over $6 a gallon and Lily is part Great Pyrenees (IYKYK) we thought we'd run her down the street for what was quoted on the phone as a $50 bath, nails, and deshedding. Well... as if I didn't already hate myself for "cheating" on my long term ... sigh... they DOUBLED THE PRICE without any call or conversation. Now, when I called perhaps they could have found a reasonable explanation. But, what I got was, "prices go up" and "it's fine, don't bring her back if you don't like it". Well... lesson learned. The dog is traumatized and so am I. There will be no repeat visits from us... even for the self-wash area. Dammit.... I hate businesses that don't think they need repeat business!!!! NO to Barking Dogs Self-Wash & Grooming.... Unless you like surprises... of the not so good kind.... The one star is because you have to choose a minimum... 1 experience 1 star... I literally tried to make one and they said no worries, least they could do was make an exception or give a coupon because that was entirely their fault. They didn't even bother to ask if I'd like to make an appointment another day. Embarrassing customer service. Will not return. I highly encourage you to look at the other lower scoring reviews. They almost exclusively all have to do with bookings/appointments/ time frames and not being given enough information regarding those things. Update: Lacey the owner reached out (who is lovely) and we had a nice conversation that ultimately resulted in her offering us a complimentary wash! I greatly appreciated her reaching out with such kindness. As a business owner, she really demonstrated integrity. The washrooms were lovely and private which is a huge difference from other places, it really distinguishes this place. Will definitely return. She didn't last more than a few groomings before she was not working there anymore. The groomers have always done a very nice job and since that first groomer, they have all been very considerate. My daughter took our dog to the groomer the time before this when my husband and I were out of the country, and I was informed today she took him thirteen minutes late. This morning I brought him in for his next grooming and received a text when I was three minutes late letting me know my future appointments could be affected by being late to his appointment. I thought it a little strange that it came so soon after our scheduled arrival. I was driving and only a minute away from arriving, so I continued driving. Upon arrival at 8:05, five minutes late to the appointment, I quickly walked my dog to the gravel in front of the business to let him do his business. Hems an old dog and tends to pee when he gets nervous. I dropped him off and was back on my way home within a few minutes. When I arrived home, I mentioned the text to my husband who also thought it a bit hasty that they texted after only a few minutes of being late. I received a text that he was ready for pick-up and was out the door within about ten minutes for the ten minute drive to pick him up. After tipping them, the owner informed me that we were ten minutes late today and that my daughter was thirteen minutes late last June when she dropped him off. I simply refuted that we were that late today, while acknowledging that we were a few minutes late. He got irritated and informed me that we should not come back since I have no respect of his time. I restated that if I were in deed ten minutes late, I would understand, but I was not more than five minutes late. He suggested we could review the surveillance footage to prove it and I said I'd be happy to do that. He replied that he was not really willing to do that. He then said he'd see me around. Confused, I replied that it seems like he wouldn't since he had just informed me I should not return. He rudely said he was just being polite. I went on my way wondering why he would feel a need to be disingenuously polite. He was clearly agitated, and though I remained calm I was frustrated with the entire exchange. I paid generously for the services provided. Over $100 for a 15 lb dog is not a small amount! This place is not concerned with how they approach paying customers. Good thing there are a lot of other groomers in the area. I'm happy not to return again with the kind of experience I had here. I understand it's not good to be late. I remember getting after my daughter when I knew she was late to take him, but there should be at least a few minutes of allowance for people. Most of us have busy schedules like they do, and while, not ideal, are a few minutes late occasionally. If you are always on time feel free to disregard this review, but having some experience in sales and being customer service oriented, as I am, the owner's overreaction was an unjustifiable experience for me. I expect he'll respond in some nasty way to his own defense, but I want to put this out to potential customers, so they can avoid experiencing what I did there. Be on time to the second, or look elsewhere. That might not present a problem for some of you, but most people have occasional delays. In truth, the owner should thank me for posting, so only those who can be perfectly on time to each and every visit should enlist their services. Win-win!

After moving to the area and not being able to locate one nearby, I checked this place out on a whim and am so glad I did! The staff here is exceptionally friendly and I've never had an issue with them being anything but. When you buy something they always help and take it out to your car for you to load it up. While I'm totally capable, it is nice. Prices are competitive for the product. We get Taste of the Wild dog food and they have a variety of flavors in stock along with many other varieties of food to choose from. The feed store also sells products for horses, chickens, and other farm animals. They also have a pretty wide variety of Yetti products to purchase. One thing you have to consider is making sure they have the food you need. Sometimes if it's getting close to their next delivery date they may be out but you can solve that with a quick phone call or - better yet - if you tell them what you need they'll be sure to have it and let you know when the delivery is. They've even helped by holding things for me. Overall, this is a great little feed store. They've got plenty of higher quality product and a great staff to go with it. The service is great and I enjoy the feed store atmosphere - gets you away from the big Petco/Petsmart chain feel and supporting a local business.

I didn't take the liberty to try any of the treats, but one of the helpful ladies who worked there told me that she tried them. A trip to Bar Avenue will most definitely lead to happy doggies! The ladies were so nice and friendly there and I could by the way they were grooming the other dogs there that they really loved what they were doing. They were kind and gentle and I was happy to leave my dogs with them. Are usually take my dogs to a different big box pet store for grooming and have never really been happy. When I take them there I literally have to drag my dogs in because they are so scared to go in there. I decided to try aunt Donna's and I'm so happy I did. When I picked them up they brought them out and not only were they calm and happy but they looked sooooo cute! Thank you Aunt Donna for grooming my dogs. We will definitely be back.

I have been coming to Aunt Donna monthly for Shadow now more than 2 years since the groomer at Petsmart dropped from dog from the grinning table and I am very happy with their service. No complain here I love my baby and I make sure they are skilled and gentle with him. They are always booked for the day so call ahead of time.
