I walked in here and was totally obsessed with a little French bulldog that I personally named Gilbert. It was love at first sight. My heart broke when one of the girls came up to me and said he was going to cost me $6500. For the record they did provide him with all of his shots, I know that does cost money, they also need some cut from the sale to pay their rent. But... the breeder charges $2500. There's just no way you can upcharge a puppy like this.. $4,000. Not many people can pay that kind of money and you're ruining the chance for a puppy like Gilbert to find a loving family who he can connect to while he's young. Instead you only lower the price once they get "too old". Not sure if the puppies ever go for walks, get baths.. it just really upsets me to see this kind of behavior from people just to make some money. I like being able to go in and play with the puppies , the employees seemed nice, but prices are just way too extreme. read more

I want to start this off by saying, I have waited my entire life to get a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. For one reason or another it never worked out or never came to fruition. A few days ago I was scrolling through online just to see what all puppies were for sale. Usually at the San Tan location they don't have corgis long - if they do at all. Well, as I scrolled I came to a dead stop as I fell in love with the sweetest little girl and all I had to go off of was the single photo of her. When I saw she was at San Tan I was elated. I was immediately on the phone with Dawn to find out specifications and to make sure this precious girl was still available. To my surprise she was, I called her back the same day to move forward to go get her. When we got there, we were greeted immediately and I saw my sweet corgi. I just knew it was meant to be. I was so anxious and excited to finally hold her as Dawn walked back to have someone retrieve her and she began thoroughly explained all the paperwork. When Dawn handed her to me the first time I could have turned to a puddle in on the floor! I was in love. Dawn was absolutely amazing and walked us through everything every step of the way. She made us feel so confident in moving forward with our decision. We have love every minute of having our sweet girl home with us. I am a dog trainer who has worked with dogs and puppies for many years, so I am very clear on what they need to thrive. I walked into this building thinking this might be a rescue organization that was getting pups adopted. When I entered, I saw small, dirty cages. Fecal matter smeared on the floor. The puppies were not acting like puppies. They were laying down, clearly under stimulated, not even interested in the people who walked by. These puppies should have toys, clean cages with comfortable beds, space to run and play, and social interaction. Dogs are not commodities. They are intelligent animals with physical and psychological needs, neither of which they seem to be getting at this business. Not to mention, it seems like these dogs are all from unethical backyard breeders. Reputable breeders wouldn't allow their puppies to be subjected to these conditions. These types of stores should be illegal, and are in some places. Do yourself a favor and go rescue instead, or find a reputable breeder. read more

We been coming to Puppies N Love for many years. We enjoyed stopping by and seeing the puppies and the staff. It felt like we were valued as people and even as customers. ( we purchased 3 puppies from there) the last year and a half everything felt off. When we stepped in we didn't get the same welcoming feeling. It's more like a car dealership. Hi. "What kind of puppy are you interested in" Yes we were interested in yet another puppy. But never said anything. So we went in every few weeks to see if we found one. But the same vibe each time. Where is the ladies who we came to adore and felt appreciated by? The last few months I see one less each visit. I went in every time for that we are family feel to buy our next puppy. Never got it So we ended up buying her from a local breeder. I went in last week Thursday the 28th I purchased her leash and collar and decided to put it on her. Never once was see near the ground or another puppy while i did this. But was told by the gentleman who rung me up. Did you purchase her from here. I said no I didn't. He responds well technically you can't be in the store. I said why. His response was Because she can give our dogs parvo and it will shut our whole place down. Yet I turn around and there is 2 dogs walking around in there on leashes 3 dogs in a play area running around who can easily be in contact with the other 2 walking around. Of course any pet owner would take offense. Any dog can have parvo and pass it to another. Through vomit or fecal. Which again my pup is in her carrier. Nowhere near another puppy or roaming around. She's also fully vaccinated. Adult dogs can have parvo also. Please educate your staff. I love the fact he cared for the store. But assuming a dog or puppy has parvo or not even asking if she's fully vaccinated before giving reasons why I shouldn't be in your store. I could have easily spent my $15 at PetSmart on a leash and a collar but always like helping the smaller companies especially during this crazy time when a lot of smaller stores are trying to stay a float. I spend my money where I feel valued and welcomed. Unfortunately your company isn't about that anymore hopefully before you loose more customers you get your staff back on board. I haven't seen Heidi in almost 6 months. Was in there last week when this incident occurred and haven't seen any of the ladies! Who have always greeted us by name. Although our puppy is beyond cute and we are in love with him be prepared to deal with Giardia once you bring your dog home. You'll need to give the animal medication for a week then retest and if it comes back positive you'll have another go round, from what i have seen this could take a while. We were told our puppy was 6 weeks in reality he was 8 at the time of purchase. If you purchase the warranty you'll need to take your animal to the vet within 15 days and be prepared for all the add-ons they'll tack on there. Although staff were super friendly a lot of information gets rushed through. Oh yeah don't forget the drops you're sent home with to prevent hypoglycemia from happening because the animal is too young and overloaded with stress that it might or might not eat while it gets adjusted. Purchase the warranty because they will reimburse you for the parasite treatment but you'll have to submit a claim with supporting documentation from vet. A lot of work but oh well. read more

I was in there yesterday around 3 pm and the dogs were kept in filthy conditions. At least 5 cages had runny poop everywhere. Many of the dogs are clearly sick-- they should have solid poop. There was poop in the cages, on their blankets and on the walls. Two French bull dog puppies were laying in it. Two other small dogs were matted and surrounded by watery poop. One corgi was nervously walking back and forth because it was running out of room to sit because it had diarrhea and could not find a place to relax. One black little dog had sores on its nose. At least four employees were standing around doing nothing. I am disgusted and in shock. I have started reporting them to different agencies. I won't stop until things change. They should be shut down immediately. Please don't purchase dogs from here! read more

When my wife and I started looking for a puppy to add to our family we visited and explored many options. We found the Puppies N Luv stores good overall, but really enjoyed the San Tan Village location, it was truly awesome. We were greeted by Heidi and from that moment on we decided to put our confidence behind her expertise. She was extremely knowledgeable about the different breads of dogs (including ones they weren't currently selling) and asked great questions of us, what we were looking for and why. She knew the personalities of the animals they had, and ensured that we do not make a quick decision for an animal that wouldn't fit into our lives. When we did find a fit, our future puppy was too small to come home yet. The store ensures that a puppy is healthy before being released home. We were encouraged to visit regularly and they let us know that the store staff and vet techs will continue to give attention, love and care when we weren't able to be there. Heidi works often, but not every minute. Several times we visited the store, Carol and other staff welcomed us, updated is on progress and made us feel that they truly cared for our puppy. My wife has rescued dogs before, and we were hesitant to take any other option than to find and adopt an animal. We did however fall in love with our puppy and realized that she needs love too. Puppies N Luv, Heidi, Carol and the other staff were all amazing. Our vet was impressed with the detail we were provided and the care taken by the store. My daughter purchased her female Pekinese here about 2 years ago and her doggie is the best. We decided I should should get a male Pekinese so we can mate them as this breed is so wonderful. Heidi met with us and paired us with our Luke, he was incredibly healthy and well mannered which made him easy to train. Love that he was micro chipped and AKC certified as well. We stopped in to visit and to let Heidi know how we loved Luke and that she really paired us with a great puppy. She said I have another puppy that would be a perfect fit for Luke if you are open to another puppy. We purchased our beautiful "Aussieton" a cross between Aussie and Coton de Tulear, from this store August of 2020. We are in love with our beautiful girl but we believe that our dog is not the breed the store claimed she was at the cost of $3,000.00. We were told she would be roughly 15 to 16 pounds, the same size as her parents. Our girl is 42 pounds! When we first brought her home we had a DNA test done. The DNA results showed zero Coton genes. We were told by the manager that DNA tests arent 100% accurate and are more for "fun". Although we don't care what breed she is now we do feel buyers should be cautious purchasing a breed from the store without proof. read more

Bri is such an amazing employee at this location! She was with us every step of the way and answered all of our questions professionally. We adopted a German Shepherd, AKA Woola, for our 9 month old to grow up with. She will be a trained protection dog for my son and will be going through extensive training. We really needed to make sure the dog of our choice met the standards we were looking for. Unfortunately, we had to wait a few weeks before bringing her home due to a treatment she had to finish up. The staff was very welcoming every time we came in. She had lots of love especially on days we could not make it in. This is my first time adopting a dog through a business such as this. I have always rescued my animals of all types. I was very nervous of this process but ended up having a wonderful experience. They provided all the documents I needed and I received the puppies history and her parents information. She was very well taken care of and is thriving with us and her doggy siblings. I know some people have their concerns regarding adopting animals through breeder here instead of a shelter. I was one of those people but this has opened my mind more to this way of adoption. Something to keep in mind for people on the fence is the history. For my husband and I we are co-founders of a security company. When it comes to training and our son. It is important to know and have documents regarding our puppies history. Even possibilities of health conditions or behavioral complications down the road are very important. This way we know the breeder, we know of any previous conditions that may run in the family. So we can take action and stay ahead of these possibilities even if its inevitable. It is no different then a human who keeps records and has to answer that same question in the doctors office. "Any previous issues or family history of any of these conditions?" All in all I am satisfied with the services provided by the Puppies N Love location in San Tan Village.
