I have been a customer of Pestmaster since 2006. What started out as, "oh, cute a mouse in my house in the country!" quickly escalated to, "well this is very gross and something must be done." They did an incredible job doing exclusion work on my house and I have not seen a mouse since, I am not kidding. They do everything. The poltergeist squirrel in the wall, those spicy carpenter bees that are cute and fat until you realize they are eating your house, the carpenter ants, that apparently also like to eat your house, and the tick spray every month in summer is a must-do. Especially now. They are quick and fast and professional and downright super nice people. I didn't expect to be, 'I have an amazing exterminator' years old but I am a huge fan, and everyone that has ever seen a house-eating bug should hire them immediately. They also took down a bald-faced hornet nest once and it was amazing. Those things are nasty. Lady bugs are fine and I don't mind them. read more

Just recently used Pestmaster and could not be happier. I admit it...I'm one of "those" females, I get freaked out by bugs/spiders/snakes. I see one and scream...like a girl. Being of of "those" girls I am grateful that I was able to arrange services in 24 hours from our local Pestmaster of the Hudson Valley. The owner was helpful and did not make me feel like an idiot and took a few minutes to educate me about the issues we were having. He even gave us information about how to deal with mice in my husband's building at the NY Renaassaince faire. The crew from office manager to the exterminator were perfectly friendly. The first time we called, we were concerned about mice because we had seen a couple of droppings, but never a mouse or an odor or that many droppings. When we were told the cost and what they would be doing (a few bait boxes outside), doing it ourselves was a no brainer. The problem actually went away. However, a month ago we noticed carpenter ants, and were very concerned. I got talked into a monthly service plan ($172 each visit). I was told peppermint spray of some sort could be used- which appealed. The first guy was supposed to arrive between 8-10 am. He showed up around 7:15 am on a Saturday. He was understanding that everyone was asleep and agreed to reschedule. The next person comes- doesn't use the peppermint, and then puts a couple sticky traps in the kitchen and a few bait boxes outside for the mice. That night, we literally had two mice run across the kitchen while we were in there. And now we have a vile odor that will not go away. Do not waste your money with this company. Someone mentioned in a review that they thought the company had planted another pest in the home (I think they said ants) - if I find out that this happened in my case, Pestmaster is going to have a very different pest to deal with. When a manager called me after I raised concern, he told me this was all a coincidence. read more

I called for Ants and they sent someone who gave me an "estimate" of $380 to spray our small house. He Doesn't actually do the work just does the estimates. Ridiculous. read more

Jason arrived promptly to treat our home for a black ant problem in our kitchen and upstairs bathroom. He sprayed the interior first floor baseboard, the upstairs bathroom and a portion of the basement. The exterior areas that were treated included the porch, deck, foundation, and eaves. Mice were evading the traps I set in my house. I called Pestmaster Services. The owner came to assess the problem and in short order a technician arrived to set traps and bait in the right places. I had a bad problem with mice this fall and had been getting monthly service for exterior bait traps since that time. All was well until we had snow storms and I wrote to please not come if there was a snow and the traps were buried. Needless to say I got a bill in the mail that they had come after the last big snowstorm and charged full price when some of the traps were not touched because they were under snow. I called and the woman I spoke with was rude and old me to go out & remove the snow! I let her know I was 8 months pregnant and did not feel that I should have to remove the snow since I was paying the $70+ monthly to have the traps serviced and I had written a letter to not come in the event of snow. Her attitude did not improve and she told me that she would cancel my service and to make sure I mail out my final payment. If you value good customer service, do not use this company! read more
