It's hard to explain how much this guy messed up our house. If you are even considering calling him…read morefor a quote put down your phone and smash it with a hammer -- it'll save you money. He showed up late and went home early. Every day. He left open our roof and it rained inside the house. He hired a terrible subcontractor who left beer bottles hidden in the rafters. He sprayed gunk all over our walls. What was supposed to be done in a week went on for a month. He ran out of money and asked us to front him for materials. His truck broke and I had to hire a generator for him. And then I caught him lying about how much foam he'd put into the roof. So he had to come back. And now, even a year and a half later, I'm still having insulation problems that go back to the terrible, terrible work done by this guy. My wife considered taking him to small claims court but we realized we'd never see a dime -- even if we won. He's broke, and he's broke because he blows jobs like ours again and again. Seriously: Run.

tl;dr skip to the numbered part below!…read more Originally i was not going to write a review, but it seems each day i find something else. So this may be long but i want to cover everything. Contacted via email, responded over the weekend got a basic estimate and said he would come take a look, to confirm. All seemed great Came when he said he would, looked over the project, installing a drywall ceiling and fiberglass insulation for the ceiling in a garage. Explained i wanted the garage door angle iron dropped and the drywall slid in to place. Said that is the only way he does it. Explained the ceiling joists were not evenly spaced, ranged from 20 to 22 inches on center. Again he said no problem. Said he should be able to start the next Thursday, i said when ever is fine. That Thursday i receive an email around 1:00 PM saying how about Saturday. I respond saying fine, but Monday is fine as well. I do not hear back, but 9:30 AM on Saturday a truck pulls up. Had i known i would have had he garage emptied and ready for them to work. Together we empty the garage quickly and they start to work. First problem they brought 15 inch wide insulation the joists are spaced further than that. Well the spacing has not changed since you looked at it 6 days ago. i agree to have it laid perpendicular to the joists. (should have quit while i was ahead) . A warm day so i bring cold water throughout the day. Through out the day they borrow my tools to work Fast forward 6 hours later they are calling it a day. Again i help putting everything back even. Jaime says he will bring back a pressure washer to clean my drive way where the truck leaked oil/hydraulic fluid. (before that there was not a single oil stain on my driveway) Once they leave i look there are numerous drops and at least 5 puddles the size of my foot or bigger (size 10 shoes, and yes i mean puddles) i put down some absorbent materials and treat to help prevent to much of a stain, and to make it easier to clean up for them. I also find a handful of drywall screws in the driveway. They said they would return Monday at 8:00AM, I wake up to make sure the garage is empty and ready for them to work. Some time between 9:30 and 10:00 AM they arrive. Different truck (yeh! hopefully no additional stains, no pressure washer either., but i think i am ok with it because they probably would have done more harm then good.) They leave for lunch so i decide to see how they are doing, and notice for one garage rail they put the drywall in as i requested and they said they would, but for the other 2 they just drywalled around the angle iron leaving numerous opening between the insulated and uninsulated area. i also notice huge gaps around outlets and light fixtures. No rhyme or reason to the screwing of the dry wall. 1/3 of the screws still sitting above the drywall service. Areas sagging because not enough screws in areas. Many additional screw wholes with no screws. I question first about the rails as to why it was done that way, they said it was to hard to reattach the spring, they were not strong enough to stretch it. Now first of all i think anybody who has ever done anything with a garage door knows when the door is open there is very little spring tension and that is when you need to work with the springs, for anybody who does not know how to work with garage doors there is this real handy thing called the internet. At this point i realize they have no idea what they are doing, i start thinking i should just fire them now, unfortunately i am a nice guy and tell them i will put the drywall in between the angle iron and the joists myself. (a fat, out of shape desk jockey all by myself, next day it took me about 3 hours) So they finish drywalling and the insulation, do a quick sweep and say they are done, i gave them a check for the full amount with out looking so they would leave, they left so fast i am surprised they did not spin their tires. ok, so since they have left the list below are all the faults i found. 1. Did not drywall around the garage door angle iron as they said they would, leaving the garage door crooked so it scraped the paint of the front of the door rubbing on the opener track, and would not close all the way. 2. Only reinstalled one light fixture, if i ever find the bulbs i will finish, but i have to wonder if did such a poor job putting the fixtures back they were afraid they would catch on fire if they put the bulbs back in. 3. Drywall screws above the surface, ones that never made contact with wood, on the garage floor and again in the driveway. Anybody know how much 19 inch performance tires cost,.....alot. 4. My tools, god knows where they put them or did they just take them, It has been a week still haven't found them.
