I have had bad experiences with auto repair shops in the past, but the lovely girl who helped me each time I came there and the owners are friendly, helpful and most importantly honest. They only fix what needs fixing and do it for a good rate. I will take my car to them every time! read more

Friendly service, however they charged me $40 for the diagnostics scan which most places do for free. :(

Took my car in here a few times, 3 oil changes total. I bought a great Subaru Impreza from Strictly Automotive (which I should have just taken it to in the first place) with a rebuilt engine, great condition. Long story short, I took her in for an oil change and a day later I come to find there's a huge crack in my radiator and coolant is spewing everywhere. I took it back to the shop and asked the guys what the hell was going on, I've had zero problems with it since I bought it and had the engine refurbished, and the guy looked at me like a deer in head lights and said something like "yeah, I dunno...an oil change wouldn't have done that." No shit Sherlock, but perhaps you guys jarred it or hit it on accident and didn't let me know. Moral of the story, I'm telling people to steer clear of this place like a prostitute with warts. My trusted mechanic retired and sold his business so I was in need of finding a new place to go to, which is always rough when looking for a place that is honest and reliable. I went in for an oil change today. Service was fast, the guys were friendly, and they didn't try to get me to replace every little thing. Just came in for a regular oil change. Mr. Perry tried to charge me double for synthetic oil, and implied it was necessary. He was rude after I consulted my car manual, but I got the right stuff and went on my way for a reasonable price. I am a female in my early 20's so I've learned to expect this BS every time my car needs maintenance. A couple weeks later my car would not start and I found that my oil had been filled 3 quarts more than it needed. Whose to say if it was purposeful or accidental....regardless of the answer, I don't recommend this place for young ladies.. read more

Could not be happier with the service from Jason and his crew! I called with a few concerns about 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday, and Jason said he was happy to take a look even though they were closing soon. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and received the best service I have ever had at a mechanic. Jason and his team were thorough, detailed with explanations, and very honest about how to best handle next steps. Most of all, everyone seemed to really respect and enjoy working with each other. The wife took her SUV in for an oil change before a trip. (Normally I do the oil, but we didn't have time.) Before we left I popped the hood just to make sure that everything was ok. The first thing I noticed was the dipstick was half out, then I noticed a nice big screwdriver had been left in the engine compartment. I decided that I had better check the oil level, and to my shock they had overfilled it by TWO quarts. My wife spent $50, and I still had to spend as much time (that I didn't have), and trouble crawling around under the truck to drain out the extra oil. Total waste of time, and money. Go else where I did get a nice Snap On screwdriver from then though. ; ) read more

These guys are incredible! I came to these guys by way of recommendation through my cousins girlfriend. I told her I was nervous about going somewhere by myself (being a female in her 20's) and getting taken advantage of she quickly reassured me that these men were the most honest genuine mechanics she's ever had the pleasure of taking her car to & won't go anywhere else. She met me at the shop & after introductions and a quick evaluation of my cars problems by their staff, I can see why she's so loyal. They gave me a thorough explanation (and even used a model to explain which part of my tires were damaged!) and then they got to work on my breaks & rotors! When it came time to pay, the price was beyond fair & there were no surprise fees or fix-it's! They really went above and beyond with customer service & not in the "cheesy-corporate-fake-smile-luv-ya" kinda way. The men at this shop were genuine, kind hearted, courteous & sincere gentlemen. They've definitely made a life time customer out of me! I'm going to tell everyone to go there for any car troubles from now on! read more

Stay away! Short story: they upsold me nearly $1000 worth of repairs, failed to complete the repairs on time, appear to have created a new problem through their repairs, and then tried to upsell me more repairs rather than (or in addition to) fixing the new problem! Never offered a refund even after I politely complained in person and tried to explain my frustration. Long story: took my car in for an oil change on a Saturday (used this place for years for oil changes; no problems), and was told there were a number of problems they could fix. We needed the car for work on Monday, and they said they could complete the job Saturday. We agreed. Around closing time Saturday, we called (note: they never called us after we agreed to the repairs; we always called them, and then were invariably advised that they were "just about to call us") and told car couldn't be fixed until Monday due to unforeseen problems. We took a cab to work Monday, a cab back to the shop Monday night to pick up our car. Paid $996 and immediately noticed a new, loud noise coming from the front of the car when pulling out of their shop on Monday night. Brought car back Friday night (couldn't drop it off that week due to work; cabs get expensive quickly) and was told they would look at the new noise problem "first thing" Saturday morning. Heard nothing Saturday morning; called about 2:00 p.m. Was told they were "just about to call me," that they had driven the car around the block (and noticed an alignment problem I had never noticed), and that they were going to look more at the car now . . . would call me in a few minutes. Almost an hour later, having heard nothing, I return to the shop. At that point, am advised that there may be new problems with my car (never mentioned before the $996 in repairs) and that we should fix those new problems before (or while) looking into the new noise problem which I believe they created during their first repairs . . . Was given a new estimate for new repairs they could make while looking into whether they had caused the new noise problem . . . Was also given new promises about looking into the new noise problem on Monday. (Of course, this was after dropping the car off on Friday night to get into the queue first thing Saturday morning; how could I believe them now?) Long and short of it, do not trust these guys and take your business elsewhere. They also seemed to care less when I politely told them I would leave reviews about their service. read more

I brought my car here to be serviced. Since I have a newer car that recommended synthetic oil I authorized a $70 synthetic oil change. I was surprised to see that it cost so much but I realize that full synthetic oil costs more. I asked them what the recommended oil change was and they were adamant about me returning and changing the oil every 3000 miles. I checked my manual and was surprised to see that they recommend changing every 5000 miles. I then brought my car to the dealership for an unrelated issue and asked them the recommended oil change interval. They told me no less than 10,000 miles. Sounds like Perry and Sons just wanted to change my oil 3 times for every 1 time that the manufacturer recommends. I highly doubt Perry and Sons knows more about my car than the company that made it. I will never return..and you should beware of unnecessary repairs as it seems like they will tell you whatever they think you will believe. Shame on you Perry and Sons. SHAME!!! read more

Not horribly shady and I think they do decent work but just really not a good company to do business with. Took my truck in for low level of AC fluid. Filled it, said there were no leaks. One week later, no AC fluid again. Took it back in, and they replaced the Schrader valve and O-rings. I asked them if there were any other leaks and they said definitely not. One week later, no AC fluid. Unfortunately I was about to leave on a long weekend trip with my truck, and their incompetence on finding the leak earlier meant I couldn't take my truck. So, after I transferred everything to the car and decided to live with a very tight trip, I decided to take my truck back one more time. So, this time they tell me the condenser is rubbed raw and that this is a super common flaw in F150s. He even told me that he sees this all the time and saw it three times in the last week. Why he was so sure there weren't any other leaks after doing the O-rings, I have no idea?! So I ask how much, he tells me $360. I ask total? He says yes. Four days later I go to pick my truck up and he tells me $680. Apparently he was only talking about $360 for the part, although this certainly wasn't the case over the phone! Plus when I first called them in the very beginning this whole job they told me $85 an hour for labor. For this job to charged me $99 an hour. He said no one would've ever quoted $85 an hour, but I'm not an idiot and I still have my notes from the call. Oh well, I know not to go back. Hope you don't go either. read more

I will NEVER go back and would warn people from taking their vehicles to Perry & Sons for service. I paid for an oil change, tire rotation, and they said they checked my break pads & other fluids and that everything looked good. Only 2 months and 800 miles of normal driving later, my breaks are squealing like crazy and the vehicle's service alert indicators have come on saying that the tire pressure is low, the oil life is at 15% and my transmission fluid needs to be serviced. Needless to say, these people either do terrible work or charged me for no work at all. read more

These guys are great. Old school - no fancy waiting room, no dweebs in collared shirts, just regular guys fixing cars. They've been here forever. I've taken my car to them numerous times, and several times they've done little fixes for free or almost free. They are very reasonable in that my car is very old and not valuable, so they don't try to upsell me on additional services or try get me to buy stuff that I don't need. In fact, just recently the clutch started to go out on my car. I took it there and they looked at the clutch and told me it's just about toast. They added some transmission fluid and got the bubbles out, which helped a lot. I said, ok well, go ahead and replace the clutch. They said they would replace it if that's what I really wanted, but given the low value of my car they recommended that I just trade it in. Now that's honesty that you won't get from most repair shops. read more
