Friendly service, however they charged me $40 for the diagnostics scan which most places do for free. :(

They up-selled me a bunch of crap like a power steering wash. I just went to Big O and it looks like they didn't even do said crap.

Competent mechanics will tell you when your problem is serious and urgent or that repairs can be safely put off. They are the best Honda/Acura mechanics out there. I specifically bought a Honda as my last used car because I trust them to maintain it. I can't recommend highly enough.

Hello my name is Efrem B. Martin and I wanted to leave a great review for Gaylords Garage!!! I'm a…read moreDIYer, I perform all of my own maintenance and if I can't then I research credible established Independent mechanics!!! I am the owner of a 2002 Honda CRV LX FWD and recently came into an issue with a transmission fluid leak that I couldn't diagnose so I brought my vehicle to Gaylords Garage in Denver on May 14, 2026, for the very first time and they are great people, professional, honest and very, very pleasant!!! Another issue also came up and Gaylords Garage explained to me what had happened with some minor damage to my front bumper upon their final inspection and they made it right with me, although I wasn't expecting this!!! If I have any issues in the future with my 2002 Honda CRV LX FWD that I can't figure out, I will bring it back to Gaylords Garage!!! Being a small business for over 40 years means something today, Gaylords Garage is fair with prices and I will definitely recommend Gaylords Garage to my family and friends who have Japanese made vehicles!!! Blessings Gaylords Garage and thank for your great customer service!!! Efrem

Honestly. They fixed my car a year ago for a water pump and over heating issue and then my car…read moreoverheated almost exactly a year later. I came in to see what happened and they said that the little plastic coolant pipes that go to the water pump were dissolving. I'm honestly quite annoyed because I feel like this is something that should have been noticed a year ago and I highly doubt this wear and tear appeared in a year on a car that already had 170,000 miles. I ended up going to another guy that actually cares about older cars (mine's a 2006) and he figured out it was another gasket in my engine, not a head gasket like they were claiming. Applewood wanted to charge me $4800 in total for a car I paid $3000 for. My mechanic was able to do it for $560 because he just replaced the radiator cap and plastic gasket that gets worn down at almost 170,000 miles each time. I also am a woman so when I called them they used a very sarcastic tone with me and kept gaslighting me on the issue. Sure a head gasket repair may have fixed the problem but I would have wildly overpaid. I added my inspection report that was wildly overstated and would have costed me $4800 for something that they should have already replaced or told me about considering they had replaced my entire water pump and the hose connecting to it.

Do not recommend. They did not recognize a vehicle and work they did previously and attempted to…read morecharge for the same issue. They misquoted me as saying "just get the car running" instead of getting it drivable. The. They contrived a bogus recall story and passed us off to a dealership when there was no recall just cause they didn't want to own up to their bs.
