I live in Golden. I bought a used 2008 Toyota 4 Runner with over 110k miles in 2016. Since then it has required many wear and tear repairs, involving many different mechanics, some good, and some rather poor. I am now an old man with an old car, 220K miles. Best mechanic I've been to! I feel confident that their work is solid and their quotes are trustworthy. My family takes their cars here every time, and have ALWAYS been happy with the results. This time I took my vehicle in suspecting rotor changes, and they called me and told me they still had life. They didn't change something that wasn't broken, and didn't pressure me to (even advised me not to) get new ones put in. Where to start?! What a fantastic, refreshingly pleasant experience at a mechanic facility! I instinctively felt the sincerity and trustworthiness of the folks working there, and was appreciative that they didn't beat around the bush with "estimates" on repairs. They let us know exactly what the issues were with the vehicle and even broke down the costs between the price of the replacement parts and labor. Nothing wishy-washy like other mechanics! : ) Everyone was so friendly and down-to-earth, and the work was done in a very timely manner. I had a great chat and some laughs with the front desk folks, which was fun. It felt like we had been friends forever. Came in on a Wednesday night because of an oil leak. They ended up having me keep the car there overnight. Alex called me about an hour later with the full details of what they would have to do with the exact cost. The next day, they let me know it was ready around 4:30. Excellent Customer Service and High Integrity! We stopped for gas on the way home from the mountains and noticed oil pouring out of our engine. The team at Summit got us in right away and diagnosed the issue for us. The engine was still under warranty from another mechanic. Took two cars in the same day for an oil change. They put the wrong oil in both of them. I noticed on the paperwork as I was leaving. So happens, the oil in the truck was the right oil for the car. I'm waiting for them to correct it, and hear Joe (hopefully joke?) to his wife that he'd just reuse the truck oil for the car. Then she says, "Joe, the customer is right here". I can't make this stuff up. Oh, to top it off, he changed my transmission fluid as well, saying it was on the maintenance schedule at 22.5k miles. An Honest Mechanic shop! Took my 2005 Lexus to a Lexus dealer in Golden for an engine light. (I had car at Lexus the week prior for engine light and dead battery). Lexus said issue was Evaporation Sensor and cost to repair was $671. I declined the repair and they still charged me $200 for their time. I took the car to Corner Mechanic and they said issue was a loose gas cap and didn't charge me anything. Joe was great to work with and I would highly recommend him! read more

I am so pleased with Corner Mechanic that I'm leaving a review here in addition to Google. I had my car diagnosed at the dealership originally and went to Corner Mechanic to have the service done (at half the price of the dealership). They found it was misdiagnosed at the dealership so I had to get it rediagnosed, but it only cost me 1/3 of what I had paid the dealership. Corner Mechanic was able to keep my car and fit me in the following day for that and the service. The whole time, Cassie and Alex kept me in the loop about timing, cost, and explained in detail what was going on. As a young woman with zero car knowledge, going to a mechanic is usually uncomfortable (in the past I've been talked down on, rushed out, questioned honesty, etc) Not here! After fixing my car at a more than fair price, Alex showed me exactly what had been wrong and what he did to fix it. I felt like they were honest and helpful, and it felt great to be communicated with in a way that someone without car knowledge can understand the issue without feeling condescended. So far so good! Dropped off my Envoy to get my brakes checked out. They weren't sure if they'd be able to fit me in today, but called 2 hours after drop off to let me know they've already inspected! Joe was simple and straightforward on the phone - this is what's wrong, this is how much it costs. Added on oil change and tire rotation with no problems! Luckily my Tundra does not have a lot of issues. It has been at the CM a few times for minor stuff (oil change, put on new tires, small repairs) and the service has always been affordable, good and fast. Today I had a fantastic experience which will make sure that I will continue going here: One of my tires has a slow leak. So I went to the local Big O Tires asking for help. They told me they can not fix the leak and that I need to replace all my tires or put my family in mortal danger. As it happens, they would be happy to sell me new tires right away! As a second opinion I went to Corner Mechanic. Joe the owner fixed the leak at no charge. Also, the tread is getting low, but the tires still have a few months of life left in them. And when that time comes, he told me where to go to get good tires at the most affordable. read more

I can't speak on their quality of work, but I can say they try to overcharge. They quoted over $4k for fixes to my engine and claimed I needed services which turned out I didn't. I brought my chevy avalanche in a year or so ago for a front end alignment after I fixed a control arm. They told me how much it would cost. When i picked it up the charged me less and said we did a good job fixing it that they had less work to do. They could have charged me the first price and i would have been happy. Was able to replace the fuel pump quickly. Fuel pumps are not cheap to install on a Ford Bronco (1996). Had to return due to a pinched fuel line. That was repaired, now having electrical issues, turn on lights and the vehicle will not run and the wrong lights come on randomly. Will not return. read more

Here's how great this garage is. 7:30pm on a Monday and I am on my sports bike and was getting gas next door. I see a guy named Johnny doing some maintainence outside. I walk over and ask for a business card for future reference and we talk bikes for a sec. I mention that the caliper bolt on my front brake is seized and then he told me to bring my bike over and he worked for 30 min to get that bolt off. On his time. I offered him some cash and he flat out refused. If that's not the sign of a kick ass and honest garage, I don't know what is. They now have a customer for life. Go here. read more

I'm always sketch when getting my car worked on... but after they changed to new management a couple years ago I have enjoyed taking our cars there. They are fair on their prices and have gone out of the way on many different occasions to make sure they go above what is 'average' work. The last time I took my car in for a rattle they hoisted it up and gave me a couple different options to fix it. The heat shield simply has a bolt that was rusted off and I could either just take the bolt out which would then leave the hole or get it welded together. I chose to get it welded and now my car is back to normal :) read more

I don't know how to explain how wonderful this place is. The check engine light was flashing on our Ford F-150 and it was running rough. It was a Friday and we planned on driving all the way to Utah the very next day. I showed up and they were extremely busy with vehicles parked two blocks down. They dropped everything, started searching for a new fuel injector. It wasn't in stock anywhere. But, the mechanic took the malfunctioning one out, cleaned it, put it back in and cleared the code. What ever he did was a miracle. The truck now runs smooth and did great on the inclines. We made it back to Utah without any problems and the check engine light never came back on. Twice now they have told me that I didn't need something that Lexus recommended and were correct and saved me a lot of money.
