So far, Autosport Werks has given me confidence in their team, but time will be the true test. I brought my 2016 VW Tiguan in for an oil leak which turned out to be many oil leaks and and a couple of knock-on issues. The repair job was very expensive, but my comparison shopping told me their price wasn't terribly far off from what I could expect elsewhere. In the few weeks since that work was done my windshield washer pump has gone out, which does make me a touch suspicious, but given how old the car is I guess I can't be too shocked about random parts giving up the ghost. Their team has been very nice and patient with me and my many questions. They've been transparent, breaking down the quote for me when asked and making sure I understood what they'd found and what they were proposing to do to fix it. The piece that gave me the most assurance was that they offer a four year warranty on their repairs, which I can't imagine any shop would do if they were fly-by-night. So far, so good.

He got defensive and snapped, "I didn't say that, I don't know what you're trying to get at here." Instead of clarifying like any decent service advisor would, he made the conversation more tense than it needed to be. Eventually he confirmed, again, that it was $240 just to look at the vehicle--but the whole exchange left me confused and frustrated. What really stood out was the lack of professionalism. On the first call, he even started talking to another customer in person before our call had finished, like he couldn't be bothered to fully engage with my questions. I get that shops are busy, but that doesn't excuse poor communication or short-tempered responses. So I kept the new appt and left. I would probably check before bringing my car back here as their appointment list is hand written and clearly not reliable.
